If you’re going into Arts don’t bother with arts advising/oasis go straight to your department advisor, it’ll save you a lot of time and you’re more likely to actually get a response
@@NathanWu I'm only going into grade 11 right now but I like to look ahead to make sure I know what is going to be good for me! However I am from Alberta, I was wondering if you know if it's possible for out of province students to still get into programs at McGill... I have seen a lot of different information on this subject... Thanks for making these videos though I love them!
@@maddymcc4664 Chris and I are from Ontario, and I have friends that went to UBC (p.s. that vid will be coming very soon aha). These schools take students from any province, any country, as long as you present the academic ability to study there. Don't let where you're from stop you from applying to a great school! Thank you for your support, it means a lot! And make sure to subscribe so you don't miss any future vids :)
Really great video, thanks for making this. I am actually a mom of a high school senior in California. We are both Canadian and US citizen. My daughter just got accepted into McGill last night 🥳. We are so excited and decided to explore more about McGill. Chris is a great speaker. The background reaction is also very funny. Especially about the boxing part 🤣really good job! Nathan😊
Unfortunately, the series is now over but I'm still posting academic content! I just started my fall semester at HARVARD, so subscribe to keep up with my journey. I have lots of study tips and vlogs coming. My first day of class vid is up already, so check it out :)
I'm so sorry but the series is now over. I am still posting videos weekly, that I'm been having an absolute blast making. I hope you've been enjoying them too. I can't wait until school start, so I share more of what it's like being a uni student with you all :)
actually French citizens and others pay either the same as Quebec or out of state tuition because of the agreement. They need to apply for it or search up on the Quebec government website !
@Hadil Alraeeini @nathan wu thanks guys ! The other thing is do you know if international students from France can get a loan ? Or does this have to be done privately? Thanks!

Leo Gatineau I’m not sure about that but I have an idea how about you look at the ministry of education website or actually just search it up and try talking to someone who is responsible for your country or the Canadian embassy maybe in France ! Goodluck ❤️
I'm planning for canada fall 2021 for Meng in civil . Deadline are nearby . My ielts scores are not ready . What should I do? And can I apply application on conditional basis? Plz give your suggestion.
That would be intramurals. It's not as competitive as varsity, and you can form a team with your friends. There is everything from dodgeball, volleyball, soccer, and much more.

I would say: don't be afraid to talk to random people! Everyone is in the same boat of wanting to make friends. Try and get out of your comfort zone and it'll naturally fall in place. If you want more advice, follow me on IG and shoot me a DM, and I'll try to help you out even more :)
I'd say it depends on the class.. Most people I know aren't friends with the people they met during frosh.. I met most of my friends either from clubs or in class.. I would encourage you to take classes with few people (30 students) so you can meet people more easily.. But other than that, I'd suggest talking to people in your first year (even if it's hard) because everyone is in the same situation and trying to find friends ! Also it helps if you find people taking the same courses as you, so you can create study groups and get closer like that !
Speaking for myself, I chose not to do IB as there was no appeal for me. But I would reflect on what benefits you think you can get out of the program, that you can't receive in regular academic stream, and then decide whether it's worth it. Hope that helps!
I'm currently going through the IB, Im about to head into my last year of it, and I will say that it doesn't make a drastic difference but it has helped me feel a lot more prepared for university. Its stressfull but does give you a lot of advantages because it tests your independance and work ethic while making sure you can handle the workload. Its made me a stronger student and prepared me in ways my freinds outside of the program might not be, but at the end of the day it doesn't mean they're any less capable. If you're looking for an extra challenge than IB can be that but the program is totally doable at the same time

I'm thinking of going to applying to Mcgill, do you know what the tuition fees are like for french citizens?
If you're from France, you'll be paying international fees. If you're Canadian, you'll be paying domestic fees. Hope that cleared up any confusion!

Could you tell me about what sports are available to play at McGill and can u play sports even if u are not on the uni team?
That would be intramurals. It's not as competitive as varsity, and you can form a team with your friends. There is everything from dodgeball, volleyball, soccer, and much more.
If you’re into Harry Potter at all in addition to normal intramural sports they also have Quidditch
How much is the application fee in Mcgill University for fall and summer?
3.7gpa is good enough for undergraduate .for medical in McGill university?
It's hard to say whether ___ is good enough. However, a competitive GPA for professional school is usually 3.8+
Thank you
Is this my sign to apply for McGill?!???
hiii, does this apply for graduate programs too?
just lois 100%
Chris is an undergrad, but everything he said about student life remains the same regardless of your degree level.
hah. when i went to mcgill hey didn't even have enough rez for the year 0's. lived off campus since i enrolled...
Strange... most schools guarantee rez for all first-years
How much did it cost for first year
Depends on if you're a domestic or international student. All the tuition fees for each program can be found on the website
I want to go here but im worried about the language like will it be hard to find a job for a English speaking student?
Not at all! It might set you back for some positions, but also some companies may be looking for fluent English speakers as well
@@NathanWu ok thank you im also trying to learn french
Is there a badminton club in McGill?
I believe so!
Please do UofAlberta too

no enjoy highschool and have fun! IB doesnt give many advantages and makes you stressed and super busy.
Waterloo is way much better than McGill cause it’s in Quebec
Depends on if you like a campus vs city university!
Pretty much my friend made me laugh.
He did a very good job of explaining what it's like to be a Martlet, for sure!
sO cute
