Thanks for being with us guys! Hope you are enjoying the project updates - Now its running right we need to tackle the other issues! Will we make Rustival?!
Result. Your dad again showing the benefit of being a proper old school mechanic and able to use his knowledge and abilities to adapt parts. Great result. Fingers crossed the good fortune continues
Fantastic news well done Jon and Pete a great video again and so pleased that you have both worked hard and found a solution to the issue and Pete has worked to adapt a part it’s amazing how things change over the life of a car in production looking forward to the next instalment! All the best to you all Daniel
As my Mother would say, it's not what you know, it's who you know. Glad you contact came through, and your Dad had a shred bases solution to make the part work!
Hallo... I hope your Micra is doing ok now, but i would like an advice if possible. I bought 2001 Micra 1.4 16v for my wife, few things got done and generally car i in great condition. But... Idle is not. When cold it runs great until idle rpm goes down when warming up and then it starts shaking and shivering. No problems during drive, runs very smooth, pulls like a mf. But idle is lumpy, not to much oscillations up and down, but can't seem to make it work smooth. Changed throttle position sensor, cleaned maf and throttle body, and i cleaned icv. It got a little better, little bit fixed rpm, but shaking is still there. Also did decarbonization for the entire engine, no help. Pulls noticeable better, but idle is the same. So as i figured, i have opposite problem than you had. Runs better cold than when warm. I noticed that icv has something in it moving when i shake it and i don't know if it should be like that or something is loose. That little knob inside that opens and closes one of air ways is very easy to move, not stuck, but it is not fully closed. I don't know if that should be the case either. So i would appreciate a bit of guidance on what to try next. Changing the whole tb thing is out of the question because in my country is everything but cheap and it is risky since there are no newer cars. One more thing, i couldn't find any air leaks that are obvious, so is there anything that is known to be issue about that also? Sorry for long comment but i'm generally stuck and this idle thing is getting to my every nerve. It is good massage though 😂
Been offered 40 pounds. Throttle.. my issue is low idel .. sticking rpm.s. occasionally.. slight misfire. Driving it. Wondering iavc ? But can't buy item alone with out Throttle ? Bosch crap fitting. I no I can remove screws easy

Hooray for Daddy Coupland. He's the man❤😂Ruth
He certainly is!
“Let’s fit it tomorrow”
The next day…
“Oh you’ve fitted already!” 😂
He's a nuisance!
So satisfying when a cheap part makes the grade :) Great fun as ever!
Totally! Thanks :)

Your dad is a star ❤🎉
He certainly is 👍☺️
Remember the old car adverts from the 1990s? Seems like "You can with a Nissan" after all. 😃
Absolutely! I also recall "ask before you borrow it"
Happy Day’s the micra is up and running

Cheers Frank :)
Am glad to hear it running well now 😊👍
Me too 😄👍
Put big rims and some decals...that would be awesome.
Not for me that styling but would look cool!
Soon you can unleash all that mighty micra power!
Soon 😄👍
parts on micra's seem dirt cheap, so its amazing the idle control unit is £250!!!
Yes I agree
Are they ?
YAY
My thoughts exactly!
Well done but can you put black numberplate screw covers on?
No point. I'm having period correct replica plates made which will be stuck on not screwed 👍
@@JonCoupland Tidy as we say in Wales. 🏴
I like these cars and I don't know why. Small, basic and easy to drive?
Thats why i like it too
I like the Reg number on the Micra MFP did you know that stands for Main Force Patrol in Mad Max ? lol
I didn't! We call it My Fairy Princess
@@JonCoupland Oh Dear LMAO , You need to Mad Max it up , put a bonnet scoop on it and a rear spoiler and big exhaust LOL

Im really sorry to say but without seeing it its very difficult to diagnose - sounds like you are on the right track - keep up with it

Worth replacing the ICV, MAF and Throttle Body for the £40 😄👍
@@JonCoupland guess so I let you no great video
You cannot keep a good Micra down, K11 Micra and MK1 Yaris were well made cars.
Absolutely
Throttle body ??
We replaced the whole lot :)
Idc cheaper than a proton 😂
Yes!
