    I have to do this in 24 hours and glad to have found this video! So to confirm: If after I scanned my forms and everything is green, I can put the items back into my luggage and check in the items right? (i.e. no need to hand carry them through immigration etc.)

    Hello thank you so much for this. When you use the kiosk does it ask for boarding or passport information? If I purchase the items can I have my husband go through this process instead of me?

      Hi, @LoUiSaiShLiKE. Thank you for watching our vlog! For the machine, you don’t need your passport because the details are supposedly in the tax forms already. So technically, you can ask your husband to do it for you. However, if the screen turns red, the customs officer will ask for your passport, sometimes your return ticket and the goods.     If your screen was green, do you know what you have to do after? Do you get an email confirmation?

      Hi, @daeunbae7327. If the screen is green then you’re good to go. You won’t receive an email. You just wait for your refund to be credited to your card if you chose card as your mode of refund.     In case of Paris being the only travel destination… but there’s a connection when flying back at Amsterdam, do we get the refund in Paris airport or Amsterdam??

      Hi, @therose-8195. You can use your debit card. Just make sure you inform the store when they prepare your refund form that you want your refund on another card.     Hello. Your VDO has been helpful. do we need to drop the envelopes in the mailing box. I was told by the shop that we don’t need to do that anymore. Did u drop yours?

      Hi, @samnidaung4907. We did not mail our forms anymore as advised by the customs officer. However, we saw others mailing their forms probably because they opted to receive cash refund or they made their purchases outside France (other EU countries).       Yes we did. Global Blue took less than a week. Planet Tax Free took almost a month. Happy and safe travels!😊

      @@ERC_Channel Did you get the full tax refund on the invoice? What percentage of the tax refund was shown on the invoice? Did global blue deduct the tax refund from you?

      Hi, @yakopsi. No, we didn’t get the full amount of tax indicated on the invoice. We got around 10%/11% only. We think this is because refund companies get a certain percentage as fees.       Update..
      I got to do my tax returns at Madrid but just as an Fyi we need to make sure we have a envelope for the tax operator company in my case (global blue) since they didn’t have an office at Madrid airport, it was a crazy journey, hopefully I’ll get my tax returns

    Hi . Do we have to keep all the products which we bought in brand new condition to show at the customs if they ask ??? If the light goes red , do they cease your product?? And after reaching to our own country with the goods does customs create any issues for the products which are packed and new ? Please reply fast as I have a flight tomorrow 🙏

      Hi, @tarasharma7167. That’s the expectation - consumption/use must be outside the EU. However, I don’t think customs would know if you used your bag or purse, for example. Just keep the tags. In several occasions, we bought luggages and used them already to pack our stuff and there was no issue with customs.
      If the light goes red, sometimes the customs officer asks you to show the goods but in most cases no. Based on our experience, if you buy big ticket items like watches, that’s the time they ask you to show them your purchase. Other than that, they just ask for your form.
      For customs rules in your home country, technically you should declare the goods you are bringing into your country. There is a certain exemption threshold and once you go beyond that amount, you have to pay customs taxes. But all these will depend on how your country implements these rules. For the Philippines, they do random checks, so you pray that you won’t be singled out so you won’t have issues.

      Hi, @stephaniele2822. You mean you scanned the form and the screen turned red? Or was it green but it just doesn’t show in the Global Blue app? Did you receive an email when you made the purchase? Hopefully you kept the form so you can use it when you email Global Blue if there is an issue.
