I feel sorry for you if you think that bringing up the topic of Abrogation in islam is a dumb argument. There are real issues you have in the quran because of this Abrogation. Their are passages that are unclear what is to be followed because they contradict each other and the scholars say it has been abrogated. But the quran isnt explicit on what verse preceeds the other.

I had many doubts about the true faith, the way of Prophet Abraham (Peace and blessings be upon him). Slowly but steadily GOD cleared all of my doubts. I reverted in 2016. I've seen in Shabbir Aly's video that those verses were actually revealed for a specific situation. And the Once the issue of that situation was solved, the necessity of that verse was over because that specific situation wasn't supposed to occur ever again. We know that one of the quality of Quran is that none of it's verses of Quran are supposed to be useless. Human beings need each and every verse. Maybe some verses we don't need now not now but in we'd need them in future. Even the verse regarding wars, we would need them during the end times as there is supposed to be a war during that time. And as those abrogated verses would not meet this condition they were removed by Allah.

This Sahih Bukhari hadith gives us a clear idea the present Quran now is exact as it was left with us by our Beloved Prophet of Allah Sallalahu alaihi wassalam  Volume 6, Book 60, Number 53 :Narrated by Ibn Az-Zubair I said to 'Uthman bin 'Affan (while he was collecting the Qur'an) regarding the Verse: "Those of you who die and leave wives ..." (2.240) "This Verse was Abrogated by an other Verse. So why should you write it? (Or leave it in the Qur'an)?" 'Uthman said. "O son of my brother! I will not shift anything of it from its place."
The same Quoran on golden tablets in Jannah is read all over world, is not true . Many Arabic Qurans are available in North Africa and other places of the world. The Quran has not been perfectly preserved.

It is the Bible which isn't complete and missing some of it's books to this day. There are many missing books referenced in the Bible itself. Here are few examples: *1. It is also found in Riyadh asaliheen, the Hadith goes as the following: “The messenger of Allah said, ‘if the son of Adam had two valleys of wealth, he would love to have a third along with them. Nothing could satisfy him except dust. And Al-hamdu lil-lāh accepts the repentance of the one who repents”

Would you consider yourself to be a good person? How many lies have you told, and what do you call someone who lies? Have you ever stolen something, and what do you call someone who steals? Have you ever taken God’s name in vain (very serious; in Old Testament times, the Jews wouldn’t even say the name of God for fear of blasphemy) - even ‘OMG’? One more: Jesus said whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery in his heart; have you ever looked with lust? He is Holy (perfectly good/righteous and separate from sin) which means that H e is perfect in justice - and if He were to judge you by the moral law (we’ve already looked at 4 commandments) would you be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? The answer is hell - the wrath of God upon you for your sin. Is that concerning? But fortunately, God’s will is not that you perish. He wants all men everywhere to be saved. So do you know what He did for us guilty sinners? In self-giving mercy, He sent His Son Jesus Christ. He lived the perfect life that we should have lived - tempted at all points and yet He NEVER sinned. Through His life, being in very nature God, He revealed God to men; but we in our hatred condemned Him to death. On that cross as Jesus suffered, He took on the sin of the world and was judged in our place; receiving God’s wrath. You and I broke God’s law, but Jesus paid the fine. God can justly forgive us. On that cross He died, then He was buried, but 3 days later He was raised from the dead - conquering death and Hell and ushering in The Kingdom of God. He then ascended to the right hand of God the Father (where He came from) now Lord of the living and the dead. God has fixed a date when He will judge the world in righteousness. What you need to do is repent (In humility, acknowledge your sin before God and turn to a relationship with Him) and trust ALONE in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross; and God will grant you the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then be baptised. When you place your trust in Jesus - the Lord and Saviour - these things will happen: 1) God will forgive the sins that you have committed; they were paid for by Jesus at the cross. 2) The perfect life that Jesus lived will be credited to you. He will find you holy and blameless on judgement day (and now), as Christ’s righteousness covers you. 3) You receive a place in Christ’s kingdom as an adopted child of God. God becomes your Father. Eternal life isn’t just about living forever, but a personal relationship with God Himself. That life can start now; The Father will reveal Himself to you if you seek Him. 4) God doesn’t just save you from the penalty of your sin (Hell). He can save you from the power of sin itself. Whoever practices sin is a slave of sin; but when you repent and believe the gospel [WHICH HAS BEEN DESCRIBED] the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you and sanctify you (working in you to further abandon sin and turn to the will of God). When the end of the age comes, and eternity begins, this work will be brought to completion as you are finally freed from the presence of sin. Jesus offers to take away your sin and to give you His righteousness; you must receive it by faith. Choose this day if you will align with the world, or with Jesus and His kingdom - only His is eternal. He remembers about a valley (this looks like a story and not a law) If something is missing or abrogated from a book, it is not the original anymore. It is not a preserved book anymore. If i am rewriting a novel, and remove one sentence from it, stating that it is irrelevant for the story, is that book still preserved and original? No, it is not preserved. It is an adaptation of an existing text. So you cannot keep on claiming that the quran is preserved from the beginning of time, since that's not the case. This is just common sense.. And how do you know how many of such chapters are actually missing? Are you sure that that book is complete? How can you prove it since we know that 2 chapters are missing and that a goat also ate one page?

9:10 why does this verse exists? maybe, we should look into verse itself - it refers to sons of Adam (as) craving for more, when they should've been satisfied with what would be sufficient for them. this verse might be as hint at Hadith, where Prophet (saws) said that he came with Islam fully finished: nothing to add, nothing to take out. might be, that this verse was there as warning of bid'aa, because only thing sons of Adam (sa) got with third valley of wealth is dust, and same thing we will get with bid'aa..

I've seen in Shabbir Aly's video that those verses were actually revealed for a specific situation. And the Once the issue of that situation was solved, the necessity of that verse was over because that specific situation wasn't supposed to occur ever again. We know that one of the quality of Quran is that none of it's verses of Quran are supposed to be useless. Human beings need each and every verse. Maybe some verses we don't need now not now but in we'd need them in future. Even the verse regarding wars, we would need them during the end times as there is supposed to be a war during that time. And as those abrogated verses would not meet this condition they were removed by Allah.

I said to 'Uthman bin 'Affan (while he was collecting the Qur'an) regarding the Verse: "Those of you who die and leave wives ..." (2.240) "This Verse was Abrogated by an other Verse. So why should you write it? (Or leave it in the Qur'an)?" 'Uthman said. "O son of my brother! I will not shift anything of it from its place."
The same Quoran on golden tablets in Jannah is read all over world, is not true . Many Arabic Qurans are available in North Africa and other places of the world. The Quran has not been perfectly preserved.

Dr. Lightfoot’s opinion is the most simple, and to me bears the greatest appearance of being the true one. “This book seems to have been some book of remembrances and directions, written by Moses for Joshua’s private instruction for the management of the wars after him. See Exodus **17:14**-16. Geneva Study Bible says:

*2. The Books of Chronicles*
The Old Testament books of 1 Chronicles and 2 Chronicles both make mention of a number of seemingly lost books which are said to have recorded the events of the lives of David and Solomon:
*As for the events of King David’s reign, from beginning to end, they are written in the records of Samuel the seer, the records of Nathan the prophet and the records of Gad the seer. [1 Chronicles **29:29**]*
*As for the other events of Solomon’s reign, from beginning to end, are they not written in the records of Nathan the prophet, in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam son of Nebat? [2 Chronicles **9:29**]*
Clarke’s Commentary on 1 Chronicles 29:29:
*All these were written by three eminent men, personally acquainted with him through the principal part of his life; these were Samuel and Gad the seers, and Nathan the prophet. These writings are all lost, except the particulars interspersed in the books of Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles, none of which are the records mentioned here.*
Clarke took the same approach to 2 Chronicles 9:29:
*“These books are all lost”.*
According to the Geneva Study Bible:
*“The books of Nathan and Gad are thought to have been lost in the captivity”.*
Scofield Reference Notes simply said:
*“These books have perished”.*
*3. Missing Epistle from Laodicea*
Paul, the earliest known Christian author, wrote several letters (or epistles) in Greek to various churches. The New Testament contains many such epistles written to the Romans, Galatians, Colossians and others. In his epistle to the Colossians, Paul gives instructions to the Christians to exchange the epistle with the one he wrote to Laodicea:

This epistle to the Laodiceans is nowhere to be found in Bibles of today. Historically, different groups put forward their own versions of a Laodicean epistle in order to try and fill the “gap”, but scholars generally reject these as forgeries.
*4. Missing Epistle to the Corinthians*
The New Testament contains a series of letters that Paul wrote to a community of Christians in Corinth. The New Testament contains two of these letters, titled ‘First Epistle to the Corinthians (or ‘1 Corinthians’) and ‘Second Epistle to the Corinthians’ (or ‘2 Corinthians’). In the first letter that is found in the New Testament, Paul makes mention of an earlier letter that he had already written to the Corinthians:
*I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people, not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. [1 Corinthians 5:9-11]*
What happened to Paul’s earlier letter to the Corinthians? The New Testament does not have it as it is lost. What we do have are the two follow-up letters that he wrote.

Great video akhi, I would add, that perhaps they remembered that exact verse before, because it’s also a Hadith where the messenger says the same exact words. And that hadith is reported by at least a few companions. So perhaps them hearing the messenger say it a few times kept it in their heads. Allāhu Alaam.

Righi Ridha it is reported in Bukhari by Ibn Abbas, and Anas Ibn Malik, also in Muslim by Anas and Anas Ibn Malik, it’s in Ibn Majah by Abu Hurayrah, and also in at-Tirmidhi by Anas Ibn Malik. It is also found in Riyadh asaliheen, the Hadith goes as the following:
“The messenger of Allah said, ‘if the son of Adam had two valleys of wealth, he would love to have a third along with them. Nothing could satisfy him except dust. And Al-hamdu lil-lāh accepts the repentance of the one who repents”

How many lies have you told, and what do you call someone who lies? Have you ever stolen something, and what do you call someone who steals? Have you ever taken God’s name in vain (very serious; in Old Testament times, the Jews wouldn’t even say the name of God for fear of blasphemy) - even ‘OMG’? One more: Jesus said whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery in his heart; have you ever looked with lust?
Well I’m not judging you - but if you’ve done these things then you’re a liar, thief, blasphemer and adulterer-at-heart; that’s how seriously God takes sin. He is Holy (perfectly good/righteous and separate from sin) which means that H e is perfect in justice - and if He were to judge you by the moral law (we’ve already looked at 4 commandments) would you be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? The answer is hell - the wrath of God upon you for your sin. Is that concerning?
But fortunately, God’s will is not that you perish. He wants all men everywhere to be saved. So do you know what He did for us guilty sinners? In self-giving mercy, He sent His Son Jesus Christ. He lived the perfect life that we should have lived - tempted at all points and yet He NEVER sinned. Through His life, being in very nature God, He revealed God to men; but we in our hatred condemned Him to death. On that cross as Jesus suffered, He took on the sin of the world and was judged in our place; receiving God’s wrath. You and I broke God’s law, but Jesus paid the fine. God can justly forgive us.
On that cross He died, then He was buried, but 3 days later He was raised from the dead - conquering death and Hell and ushering in The Kingdom of God. He then ascended to the right hand of God the Father (where He came from) now Lord of the living and the dead. God has fixed a date when He will judge the world in righteousness. What you need to do is repent (In humility, acknowledge your sin before God and turn to a relationship with Him) and trust ALONE in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross; and God will grant you the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then be baptised.
When you place your trust in Jesus - the Lord and Saviour - these things will happen:
1) God will forgive the sins that you have committed; they were paid for by Jesus at the cross.
2) The perfect life that Jesus lived will be credited to you. He will find you holy and blameless on judgement day (and now), as Christ’s righteousness covers you.
3) You receive a place in Christ’s kingdom as an adopted child of God. God becomes your Father. Eternal life isn’t just about living forever, but a personal relationship with God Himself. That life can start now; The Father will reveal Himself to you if you seek Him.
4) God doesn’t just save you from the penalty of your sin (Hell). He can save you from the power of sin itself. Whoever practices sin is a slave of sin; but when you repent and believe the gospel [WHICH HAS BEEN DESCRIBED] the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you and sanctify you (working in you to further abandon sin and turn to the will of God). When the end of the age comes, and eternity begins, this work will be brought to completion as you are finally freed from the presence of sin.
Jesus offers to take away your sin and to give you His righteousness; you must receive it by faith. Choose this day if you will align with the world, or with Jesus and His kingdom - only His is eternal.
ROMANS 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved

@Se Ou The cross is symbolic; just like the Kabbah in Mecca except by your logic we can conclude that Muslims are Kabbah worshippers and crescent worshippers because of their symbolism in Islam.
@Se Ou Every organization has culture and one the cultural web is it symbol. Just like the cross symbolizes Christ sacrifice to save humanity, so also the crescent for Muslims. Would you argue that the crescent has nothing to do Islamic rites? Why do Muslims face Mecca praying, does it not have a meaning that you are facing particular location when the God you are praying to is every where (omnipresent). Just as the Kabba and crescent is symbolic in Islam so also the cross in Christianity. Based on your logic, if what is symbolic makes that group a worshipper of that symbol, then Islam is not exception to your logic.

Secondly, We don't make use of direction in worship in Christianity because the God we serve is omnipresent. I can face anywhere in my room, sit, prostrate, or kneel to worship - they that worship God must worship Him in spirit and in truth and not by direction, pilgrimage, observing religious rites. Christianity is a relationship and not rites, symbols, a pilgrimage, or annual feast(s), it simply the relationship you have with the father made possible by the sacrifice of Jesus and guided by the Holy Ghost.
Lastly, the cross was adopted from the start because it is symbolic of Christ's sacrifice, which is the basis of the Christian faith, and its used to distinguish a church from other buildings. There is nothing wrong with mosques having crescents on them because it distinguishes them from other buildings; the Ottoman used the crescent because it symbolizes something in Islam except you want to deny it.

The cross is a symbol of the fulfillment of Isaiah 53:5 and other prophecies in the old testament (the Torah) that prophecy about the cruel and painful death that will be placed on the messiah. Truly its a shameful thing to be hung on the tree, but that is the price for sin, shame, pain, rejection, and eventual death. By God's standard, no amount of work, piety or religious devotion can save a man. He instituted rites and sacrifices for the Israelites but got fed with it because man is imperfect Isaiah 1:13-14 and were abusing it for selfish gain. Sin separates man from God and the only one who can fill that gulf between man and God.
The price for sin is horrible and the cross signifies the horrible price that had been paid for our sins. It is also a reminder that you are not of your own, you have been purchase at a great price, so you can't live your life according to the dictate of your flesh. The cross may mean something else to the world, but has a different spiritual meaning to Christians.
If I were a Christian I would have left it just because of David Wood. I don't want to stay in the same religion as him and Christian Price. But Alhamdullilah I'm a born Muslim. Allah sent me to Islam as it does not have David Wood or Christian Prince. See how Allah grants wishes even before they are wished? Say Alhamdullilah and Subhan Allah brothers!

.2285.Ibn Abbas reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
If there were for the son of Adam a valley full of riches, he would long to possess another one like it. and Ibn Adam does not feel satiated but with dust. 1413 And Allah returns to him who returns (to HiM). 1414 Ibn Abbas said:
I DO NOT KNOW WHETHER IT IS FROM THE QUR'AN OR NOT;
and in the narration transmitted by Zuhair it was said:
I DO NOT KNOW WHETHER IT IS FROM THE QUR'AN,
and he made no mention of Ibn Abbas.

maybe, we should look into verse itself - it refers to sons of Adam (as) craving for more, when they should've been satisfied with what would be sufficient for them.
this verse might be as hint at Hadith, where Prophet (saws) said that he came with Islam fully finished: nothing to add, nothing to take out.
might be, that this verse was there as warning of bid'aa, because only thing sons of Adam (sa) got with third valley of wealth is dust, and same thing we will get with bid'aa..
