Mujahid decided to compile 7 qiarat for some reason this is not the 7 ahruf. those were destroyed by uthman. 6 by himself and the last simply lost by around 8th century at the latest. Muhammad himself chose Ubay as one of the best teachers of the Quran, and yet he disagreed with today’s Quran.

@@wunnammaven Oh yes, very much in fact. We have not only manuscripts and fragments that date back to the second century, but also writings of people quoting the Bible before that. Taking into account the geographical distance between these manuscripts and fragments, we can determine their point of origin and the wording of the originals. The Greek New Testaments we have today are 99.6% accurate to the originals, which we can trace back to less than 50 years after Jesus' death, and the 0.4% of inaccuracies are always between one of two ways to write it. So yes, the Bible has been not only well preserved, but in fact miraculously so. Meanwhile, the Qur'an needs a (300 years late) story about 7 original recitations in order to justify the manuscript differences. The Bible needs no such defense.
This is not the right way of learning in my opinion. Common muslims and young people will have their iman weaker due to this. Is better to go to the Sheykh specialised in this sciences than hear the lies of the muslims and them being corrected.

I know someone who memorised about 18% of the Quran by listening to it without textual aid by the age of 9 years. He also didn't know Arabic. If people can do it now, they definitely could have done it in the early Islamic period.

How come you all purged the Gospel of Marcion and other gnostic texts? The first published draft of any book, even today, will have scribal errors and transmission errors. After a few years, two decades really, the number of manuscripts with bad or false insertions become too much (like Marcion writing his own gospel to rule them all) and these need to be purged in order that the true faith is spread, and not clever additions. We didn't have Xerox and PDF files to lock back then. Would have been much easier. Unfortunately everything is copied by fallible human hands. That's why Iraneus and Tertullian had to codify the NT canon a century later. The Qur'an was codified with two decades.

The many different Canons (New Testaments) that Christians believe in, and the hundreds of manuscripts: There existed many different Bibles during the time of the Roman Emperor, Constantine, which were widely believed in by different Christian sects in the year 312. In other words, during the first 3 centuries of "Christianity" (300 years), many different canons with 100s of books/gospels combined existed! That is a lot of canons, a lot of books/gospels, and a lot of time (300 years) of different Christian religions existed. Also, Constantine's own "unified canon or bible" got lost and only small portions of it were found! So what we have today from "Bible(s)" are not even Constantine's books. Conclusion: The early Christians' doctrines clearly and indisputably confirm that Jesus, peace be upon him, never got crucified. The lies that had been invented after the departure of Jesus about his crucifixion were all man-made. This is why you see the "Gospels" of the New Testaments of today were all written by third-party narrations. They are not original, and the theologians and historians of the Bibles of today claim this as well.

Also, the Roman Empire during the 4th century had a lot of religions, one which was especially prevalent before Christianity took hold was Mithraism, Constantine himself was a Mithrat before converting. The council of Nicea that met in Constantinople influenced the true Christianity of Jesus (pbuh) with polytheistic doctrines like salvation through sacrifice of the son of God etc. Gradually Jesus’s teachings got lost, and the teachings of Paul of Tarsus as well as European folk religions infiltrated Christianity. And those are not “10 different Qurans” what you might be referring to is the different dialects of the Quran, which means that even if it was the pronounced differently, the meaning was the exact same, and the words written were the same, only the pronunciation differed.

Naturally, making mistakes cos you can't always catch the letters. E.g. ottoman is a mutilation of uthman. Well, where do all of these Bibles come from and why the difficulty in defining what is a truly “inspired” word of God? They come from the “ancient manuscripts” (also known as MSS). The Christian world today boasts of an excess of 24,000 “ancient manuscripts” of the Bible dating all the way back to the fourth century after Christ (But not back to Christ or the apostles themselves). In other words, we have with us gospels which date back to the century when the Trinitarians took over the Christian Church. All manuscripts from before this period have strangely perished. All Bibles in existence today are compiled from these “ancient manuscripts.” Any scholar of the Bible will tell us that no two ancient manuscripts are exactly identical. CHRISTIAN SCHOLARS RECOGNIZE CONTRADICTIONS IN THE BIBLE (PART 5 OF 7): BEGINNING TO BE A LITTLE MORE HONEST This Bible (RSV) is the product of thirty two scholars assisted by an advisory committee representing fifty cooperating denominations” Let us see what these thirty two Christian scholars of the highest eminence backed by fifty cooperating Christian denominations have to say about the Authorized Version (AV), or as it is better known, the King James Version (KJV). Recent discoveries, however, refute this belief. Even the internal evidence proves that, for instance, Matthew did not write the Gospel attributed to him: “...And as Jesus passed forth thence, HE (Jesus) saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and HE (Jesus) saith unto HIM (Matthew), follow ME (Jesus) and HE (Matthew) arose, and followed HIM (Jesus).” (Matthew 9:9) It does not take a rocket scientist to see that neither Jesus nor Matthew wrote this verse of “Matthew.” Such evidence can be found in many places throughout the New Testament. Although many people have hypothesized that it is possible that an author sometimes may write in the third person, still, in light of the rest of the evidence that we shall see throughout this book, there is simply too much evidence against this hypothesis. This observation is by no means limited to the New Testament. There is even proof that at least parts of Deuteronomy were neither written by God nor by Moses. This can be seen in Deuteronomy 34:5-10 where we read: “So Moses....DIED... and he (God Almighty) BURIED HIM (Moses)... He was 120 years old WHEN HE DIED... and there arose not a prophet SINCE in Israel like unto Moses....” Did Moses write his own obituary? Joshua also speaks in detail about his own death in Joshua 24:29-33. The evidence overwhelmingly supports the current recognition that most of the books of the Bible were not written by their supposed authors.

I used to watch brother Yasir Qadhi when he first came to sort of fame, however I must stay he has been deteriorating at an extremely alarming rate. I have nothing against the brother, but his acquirement of his Islamic education from a western University taught by non-Muslim teachers seems to have really clouded his judgement about some of the matters. I would've thought that he would have cemented and completed his education by pursuing more authentic sources, but that does not seem to be the case. At the end of the day somebody who has a platform and a number of followers should be extremely careful about what they say and its authenticity as they can easily be a source of leading their followers away from the way of the creator.

This is the unfortunate result of studying Islam from non-Muslims. Taking disbelieving academic orientalists as your shuyookh whom you look up to and respect as authoritative voices on Islam just seems so strange to me. This is why the Qarat is not openly discussed. Firstly a common Muslim doesn't have basic knowledge about many things about Islam. For example, what is the chain of Hadiths, how it is formed, and many others. If someone wants to study them then they can do so. The scholars don't usually talk about this because the majority of the people wouldn't understand what they are saying and they are also not that important either. So for example, if you talk to a doctor he wouldn't go into detail into many of the scientific things with you because you lack the knowledge that he acquired in medical school. But you can acquire knowledge about medicine in a medical school to understand medical stuff. So, in the same way, there is no point in the scholars talking about these topics because the people wouldn't understand them and due to the ignorance many Muslims may deviate away from Islam but a normal Muslim if he wants he can go and learn all the basics and then tackle the advanced stuff in Islam. So no information is hidden but this information are not widely spoken because it's not that important.

The first published draft of any book, even today, will have scribal errors and transmission errors. After a few years, two decades really, the number of manuscripts with bad or false insertions become too much (like Marcion writing his own gospel to rule them all) and these need to be purged in order that the true faith is spread, and not clever additions. We didn't have Xerox and PDF files to lock back then. Would have been much easier. Unfortunately everything is copied by fallible human hands. That's why Iraneus and Tertullian had to codify the NT canon a century later. The Qur'an was codified with two decades.

There's two extremes here. I think new Western academia shouldn't be completed dismissed and at the same time we shouldn't put all our weight into it. There existed many different Bibles during the time of the Roman Emperor, Constantine, which were widely believed in by different Christian sects in the year 312. In other words, during the first 3 centuries of "Christianity" (300 years), many different canons with 100s of books/gospels combined existed! That is a lot of canons, a lot of books/gospels, and a lot of time (300 years) of different Christian religions existed. Also, Constantine's own "unified canon or bible" got lost and only small portions of it were found! So what we have today from "Bible(s)" are not even Constantine's books.
Conclusion:
The early Christians' doctrines clearly and indisputably confirm that Jesus, peace be upon him, never got crucified. The lies that had been invented after the departure of Jesus about his crucifixion were all man-made. This is why you see the "Gospels" of the New Testaments of today were all written by third-party narrations. They are not original, and the theologians and historians of the Bibles of today claim this as well.

Also, the Roman Empire during the 4th century had a lot of religions, one which was especially prevalent before Christianity took hold was Mithraism, Constantine himself was a Mithrat before converting. The council of Nicea that met in Constantinople influenced the true Christianity of Jesus (pbuh) with polytheistic doctrines like salvation through sacrifice of the son of God etc. Gradually Jesus’s teachings got lost, and the teachings of Paul of Tarsus as well as European folk religions infiltrated Christianity. And those are not “10 different Qurans” what you might be referring to is the different dialects of the Quran, which means that even if it was the pronounced differently, the meaning was the exact same, and the words written were the same, only the pronunciation differed.

“...That these defects are SO MANY AND SO SERIOUS as to call for revision”
We will note that every Gospel begins with the introduction “According to.....” such as “The Gospel according to Saint Matthew,” “The Gospel according to Saint Luke,” “The Gospel according to Saint Mark,” “The Gospel according to Saint John.” The obvious conclusion for the average man on the street is that these people are known to be the authors of the books attributed to them. This, however is not the case. Why? Because not one of the vaunted four thousand copies existent carries it’s author’s signature. It has just been assumed that they were the authors. Recent discoveries, however, refute this belief. Even the internal evidence proves that, for instance, Matthew did not write the Gospel attributed to him:
“...And as Jesus passed forth thence, HE (Jesus) saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and HE (Jesus) saith unto HIM (Matthew), follow ME (Jesus) and HE (Matthew) arose, and followed HIM (Jesus).” (Matthew 9:9)
It does not take a rocket scientist to see that neither Jesus nor Matthew wrote this verse of “Matthew.” Such evidence can be found in many places throughout the New Testament. Although many people have hypothesized that it is possible that an author sometimes may write in the third person, still, in light of the rest of the evidence that we shall see throughout this book, there is simply too much evidence against this hypothesis.
This observation is by no means limited to the New Testament. There is even proof that at least parts of Deuteronomy were neither written by God nor by Moses. This can be seen in Deuteronomy 34:5-10 where we read:
“So Moses....DIED... and he (God Almighty) BURIED HIM (Moses)... He was 120 years old WHEN HE DIED... and there arose not a prophet SINCE in Israel like unto Moses....”
Did Moses write his own obituary? Joshua also speaks in detail about his own death in Joshua 24:29-33. The evidence overwhelmingly supports the current recognition that most of the books of the Bible were not written by their supposed authors.

I used to watch brother Yasir Qadhi when he first came to sort of fame, however I must stay he has been deteriorating at an extremely alarming rate. I have nothing against the brother, but his acquirement of his Islamic education from a western University taught by non-Muslim teachers seems to have really clouded his judgement about some of the matters. I would've thought that he would have cemented and completed his education by pursuing more authentic sources, but that does not seem to be the case. At the end of the day somebody who has a platform and a number of followers should be extremely careful about what they say and its authenticity as they can easily be a source of leading their followers away from the way of the creator.
Wrong.... Yassir Qadhi take bachelor and master's degree in islamic studies in Madina Islamic University (the bastion of islamic learning) but it was just memorizing this ulema opinion those ulema opinion etc....

This is the unfortunate result of studying Islam from non-Muslims. Taking disbelieving academic orientalists as your shuyookh whom you look up to and respect as authoritative voices on Islam just seems so strange to me. The legacy of orientalists is that they came to the Muslim world years after the foundations of our history were established with preconceived goals and assumptions and proceeded to retrofitting and injecting doubts in any way possible. Their starting point was: Islam is false and the Muslim historians are liars who adjusted the narrative to make Islam seem truthful and miraculous. Why any believer would subject themselves to this nonsense is beyond me.

If we read sura 4 verses, 117,118,119, 120 "Satan will try to deceive human, Satan had said 'I will surely take from among ur servants, a specific portion. I will mislead them, I will arose among them sinful desire and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allah, whoever take the Satan as an ally instead of Allah has certainly sustained a clear loss.. Firstly a common Muslim doesn't have basic knowledge about many things about Islam. For example, what is the chain of Hadiths, how it is formed, and many others. If someone wants to study them then they can do so.
The scholars don't usually talk about this because the majority of the people wouldn't understand what they are saying and they are also not that important either. So for example, if you talk to a doctor he wouldn't go into detail into many of the scientific things with you because you lack the knowledge that he acquired in medical school. But you can acquire knowledge about medicine in a medical school to understand medical stuff.
So, in the same way, there is no point in the scholars talking about these topics because the people wouldn't understand them and due to the ignorance many Muslims may deviate away from Islam but a normal Muslim if he wants he can go and learn all the basics and then tackle the advanced stuff in Islam. So no information is hidden but this information are not widely spoken because it's not that important.
