  • A lacrosse ball or any small firm ball can be very effective to help alleviate shoulder pain or stiffness. This self-massage technique just takes a few minutes!

    See steps below for release techniques with a lacrosse ball.
    1. Stand with your back against a wall with lacrosse ball between the wall and your upper back.
    2. Move around until you find a tender spot.
    3. Relax your weight into the wall.
    4. Continue to move up and down slowly, gently massaging any knots or tender areas.
    Exercises are only for general soreness or tightness. Do not use lacrosse ball if you have an acute injury or soreness from surgery.
