This theme plays whenever one of Sombrom's children is the map boss, Veyle, Alear and Nil. And they all end up defecting.
Sombron was a shitty father.
All three of the Fell Siblings are “Defective” in that Sombron declared them failures since they were unable to do what he demanded of them. Alear wouldn't fight with the resolve demanded of them, Veyle couldn't summon Emblems and was also rebellious in her normal personality, and Nil/Rafal couldn't transform. To an evil bastard that saw his children as nothing but pawns for his ambitions, that might as well have been the same as a broken machine.
@@nickprice7716 i did a play with the substantive Defect: a flaw or imperfection, with the verb "To Defect", leave a faction or country in order to join its opposition, Alear, Veyle and Nil are all "defective" in Sombrom's eyes, and defect to the Divine Dragon side, leaving him behind.

God this theme is SO sick, I’m glad it playes the second Rafal attacks because that means you get to hear it the entire map. Really made it all sound so urgent, like there really was no time to lose with getting to Alear.
BIG AGREE!! I loved the urgency and tension of that map. The original theme for it was not great😅
This whole battle song reminds me an awful lot of the GBA era Fire Emblem elite boss musics, just done in a more modern way--and I love it for that.

Hard mode already infuriated me. Definitely not a maddening player. So... I overleveled Alcryst. Why the hell not?

This music is what kept me goin during Ch5 of Fell Xenologue.

Looking back Velye's arc was so interesting. It's bogged down by hammy writing but her inner conflict when it was revealed she had two personalities was a highlight along with the stuff surrounding King Morion. I wish they did more with Velye coming to terms with what she did, but it was good enough.
Yep, Writing in this game was.... More or less Trash. Characters aren't, not by a mile. And Veyle is absolutely great! I love her!
Can someone tell me why they couldn't negotiate to work with evil Velye? I get that shes evil but why is she serving her father after he basically called her trash and tried to kill her? Is she also dumb and evil?
@@windwaker0rules Classic Brainwashing, she believed she was a totally different entity from the original. Then on top of that the Evil Velye was actually competent thus praised by Sombron. Don’t forget she’s the one who killed Lumera.
@@breloompauncher5593 If the other Velye died she would've died. The fact the main cast didn't even try is infuriating, especially since they pretty much tried to negotiate in some form with every other character and that was the moment to try with evil Velye and they didn't!!!
@I Hate Magic Thats not a good enough of an explaination, especially when she gave evil Vayle a position of authority, even if it was fake. It also doesn't explain why the characters didn't try to pursue her about following sombron when they tried for every other character like 80 times, they even tried to pursaude Zephia and Griss just before they killed them lol

Ah yes, the boss theme that plays for (checks notes) 3 hours during FX chapter 5. As if that chapter wasn't already stressful enough on maddening.

@@bookid1581 I played this map on Maddening, didn't know how i did it in my first try, this mission is rng fest. And hearing this theme in about 1-1.5 hour was a literal maddening.

Played the xenologue before getting to Veyle. If anything, it just gave me anxiety when I heard it again and reinforcements started blasting in from every corner.
“Ivy! I mean..your majesty! My queen! Have you come to execute me like all of fathers other illegitimate children..?”

I'm so glad they re-used that boss theme in Fell Xenologue chapter 5 which makes up for it due of being unnecessary too long and too hard in madenning, I figured out on my own how to kill the monster who attack's Alear in his/her cell by using emblem Celica on Celine to get rid of the nuissance and heal Nel when she was going to die against Nil Aka Rafal
I had Clan easily take out those corrupted wyverns with Emblem Lyn. I also had Clan, Lyn clones, and Seadal jump Refal. Since enemy units tend to attack the unit with the lowest HP, Refal always went after the Lyn clones and always missed.
