Seadoo to the top of Niagara Falls, How close can you get?

We were curious after riding the rapids, we thought the river would be little boring and we could get closer to the falls, but truth is that before you can feel like your in danger, you have to follow the Johnny law and move to the left towards Welland Canal. However once this happened, that was our halfway point. Beautiful river and water to travel down with one gas station for your only fill up. we did reach a block in the river you can't make it past, but this makes for a good days trip anyways stopping and smelling the roses along the way.

It's also wildly illegal and dangerous to fly a drone over the falls.
