  • First time out with a couple friend to St Clair River. We rode our Seadoo's from Sarnia down the river heading south to Lake St Clair where we were pulled over by the sheriff and also found ourselves lost without cell service to find a bay leading back to the other entrance of the north channel river to Sarnia. We used around 85 Litres of gas each for the rough trip and took about 6 hours having fun. Wavy river with lots of traffic, and everyone is letting the boats open full throttle, never seen so much of that.

I preferred going down lake st Clair more often than Lake Huron, calmer, and scenic with the cottage country

We have not spent a lot of time there yet, we might make more room for it this year with your feedback :) Thank you

Landed on the west coast in Feb, right in the costal mountains with the fjords to explore

I am in the metro Detroit area. Been to lake Sinclair one but don’t remember it being that clear and turquoise color. Looks like a nice ride.

Thanks, it’s defiantly not exactly as pictured. I find the drone give different clarity from above and I am still learning to colour grade my material, so your eyes are on point. Good catch.

@@Laizurelylife we do have a lake here in Michigan that is like the Caribbean. It’s called Torch Lake near Traverse City. I never been myself we keep talking about it when we go to Traverse City every year. I keep hearing how awesome it is.

I’ll look it up, might go on the blue list for us. Within 5 hours of us, we have Tobermory and all of the east side of the Bruce Peninsula that is crystal clear and a hot site with over 100 sunken ships to explore. I’ll show you after recording this weekend, hoping for great sunlight. Only thing is it’s normal cold wet suit water.

I recommend launching in Sarnia at Bridgeview Marina, and heading south down the river. When you get to Baby’s Point, I would top off the gas tanks and take the the river Chenail Ecarte south at the Y bend. That will put you in Johnston’s Bay, after this I would head to the Basset channel if you have the time to return a new way. I havnt used that channel yet, if you have the gas take the main channel back up to baby’s point to fuel up again. Start early, takes awhile and you don’t want the gas stations to close.
