  • This video describes 3 good stretches and 3 good exercises for plantar heel pain (plantar fasciitis). They should be done daily over period 6-12 weeks and then continued every few days as an ongoing regime until symptoms have fully resolved, which can take many months. They should be largely pain free while doing them. When you first start, just a do few and then see how symptoms are the next day. If no worse, then do a few more and keep increasing in baby steps each day until you are doing the recommended amount. If pain increases at any point, then back off and allow your heel pain to settle again before increasing them again, but more slowly this time.

      Hi dr. Stephen, what do you think about using a gun massager on the calf muscle?

      I’m not a fan of it. I think the stretches and exercises do a better long term job. Massage vonly ever provides short term muscle pain relief and doesn’t lengthen the muscle itself.

    what is the Haglund deformity exercises?

    • @PhysioMSK
      @PhysioMSK  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The exercises will be ok as long as you can do them without pain. Don't do the stretches though as they will just squeeze the achilles against the haglunds and irritate it.
