First time seeing a "Mair-style" grip for spear-fighting work. Usually (from my very limited personal experience), when the context for sparring is unarmored dueling, reach is very crucial, so the "Mair-style" grip seldom works.
Interesting! I assume you mean my partner in the houndskull? That's a common grip from what I've seen from German style fencers when in harness.
