    Another great video for self observation. As long as science is FUNDED by closed minded people for financial rewards, the truth they search for will remain limited.

    Thank you Rupert! This quote is from ACIM: "Your judgment rests upon the witness that your senses offer you. Yet witness never falser was than this. But how else do you judge the world you see? You place pathetic faith in what your eyes and ears report. You think your fingers touch reality, and close upon the truth. This is awareness that you understand, and think more real than what is witnessed to by the eternal Voice for God Himself."

      Ah I remember that one and hadn't fully understood it until you brought it up in the context of having just listened to Rupert's explanation. Thank you!

    To whom has this world in the form of a thought appeared? To me. Who AM I? Who gave me this body? I did. Who is this I! Where did this I come from? Who gave me this mind? I did. Who AM I? Who believes this world is real? I do. Who AM I? Who slept? I did. Who dreamt? I did. Who is awake? I am. Who is this I that is always there whether I’m conscious of it or not. What is the source of my I? Who AM I?
    I AM pure consciousness, Sat Cit Ananda, infinite happiness, ultimate oneness, divine awareness, immortal, indestructible, infinite peace and silence. I was never born and I can never die. Om Nama Sivaya! Jai Arunachala Sadhu Sri Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi, Jai Sadhu Om! Jai Dakshina Murti! Jai Guhai Namasivaya! All glories to the assembled devotees! Om Shanti Shanti Shanti! ❤️🙏🕉

    I was a psychologist for over 40 years and know that almost no psychologists assume that what is perceived is a direct reflection of reality. Perhaps there are those in the other sciences who assume that, but not so many of those in other fields actually study perception. Some useful dialogues to be had perhaps...

    .
    Namaste !
    According to Advaita Vedanta (= non dualistic conclusions), experiences can be had via 3 means -
    Sensory - (Pratyaksha Anubhooti) - experience obtained via the sense perceptions
    Inferred (Paroksha Anubhooti) - weighing of pros and cons of the sensed object and achieving conclusions about it via mind-intellect.
    Self - (AParoksha Anubhooti) - this is the experience of self examination without using instruments of perception like senses and mind. This eliminates the unavoidable distortions of the instruments. As said here - “the act of seeing is a limitation of consciousness”.
    This concept is as old as Advaita, probably 7000 years ago. However, it is said, the most popular text on this topic is by Shri Adi Shankara Acharya.

    This kind of mind not mind has been whispered to me for ten plus years. We must discover the source of thoughts first. Then beyond thoughts. Then. What is beyond mind? Beyond I Am; Beyond Dao?
    I was told…” I Am.”

    I have heard Rupert use the, seeing snow through orange tinted goggles before, but never has it seemed more appropriate in relation to scientists looking through ever more powerful microscopes, without first looking at their own perceiving apparatus.

    I like what Rupert is conveying here. I do wonder, many years ago, scientists at NASA, using traditional scientific measurements and understanding, successfully landed human beings on the moon, and returned them to earth. Despite any limitations of perception and "cosmic reality" it seems that "old school" science proved the reality they perceived was real.
    I'm not sure this example has merit, it just makes me wonder.

    When Ramana Maharishi spread his wisdom of the Self it was given freely.

    • @tingytube
      @tingytube ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m quite sure this did not cost you a single rupee. Ramana lived in a society that freely supported teachers. This is not the case in the west. If you begrudge someone charging minimal fees to covers the room and lights, too bad. Perhaps you could focus on the numerous actual fake gurus swamping India today, spreading ignorance and becoming rich. That is hardly the case here.

    • @widipermono854
      @widipermono854 ปีที่แล้ว

      Let focus on the teaching. I wish I could be among those seekers in the room. But it's not a big deal... we still could listen to his message from the other parts of the world. Thanks to YT and Rupert's team. Only with open mind and open hearts all that he says will resonate with us 🙏

    Conciousness is a process. It does not depend on the hardware it "runs on". We have no science of process yet but computer science is on the way because we discover that processes happen no matter on which underlying hardware or no hardware.
    It's not math for math inckudes singularities that do not happen in Nature. "The infinite" is a mere concept that may not exist for Nature.
    Space and time could be a reflection of the process. I would not call the process identical to consciousness because time started long before human consviousness and we can not think differently of consciousness than human consciousness.

    I'm not sure the self is exciting enough, nor glamorous enough to pursue in a scientific setting. (Given that tea is more exciting). So it could be a long while yet.
    Though wouldn't it be amazing.

    Self-Enquiry is a good start, but you can tap into the Self (The Transcendental Absolute or Sat-Chit-Ananda), without going through any mental Enquiry. No problem. Access "Mahamritunjaya mantra - Sacred Sounds Choir:". Listen to it for 5 min per day for at least two weeks. Bliss of the Self.

    Moden science is flawed in its complexity.
    All energy and matter in one simple explanation, here goes...
    First we have a radio waves all the way to gamma waves which in turn create hydrogen then from there everything is basically a compound of hydrogen and will decay back to hydrogen before turning back to gamma waves.....
    Matter is simply a ball of aether/space trapped in a pressure wave so tiny it creates a coherent structure that can experience time as we do, as well as entropy and therefore combine with other "atoms" of itself to form heavier and heavier elements.... it's all just energy though E=mc²
    This is how you end up with something from nothing....
    There are no free moving "electrons" within matter....
    I use this analogy to simplify it in my mind..... imagine a line of people standing a mile long (each person represents a copper "atom" in a wire) the first person starts a Mexican wave at one end ( the source ) , as the information propagates along the line ( by exciting/resonating each "atoms" magnetic field ) you would see an continuous wave of the peoples arms transferring the charge/information back and forth but the "atoms" and "electrons" don't actually move at all.....
    Think about it, from the source where electricity is "generated" to the ultimate end use, there's various breaks in chain of that electricity, it goes through controllers, transformers, all sort of components.... the transmission happens because of the magnetic field strength of the "atoms" in the wire being increased and decreased, not because of an actual "electron" flowing anywhere...

    Annoying and confusing that the producers show the audience when they are not speaking. It is unnatural; the natural thing is to focus on the one speaking, not the ones listening. Let the camera stay at whomever is speaking, please. Take a look at whom the audience focus on: They don't stare at the one asking the question when Spira talks; that would be really weird. They look at Rupert. We as viewers want the same. So keep the camera at whomever speaks, not on others.
