Future me speaking: After revisiting Cedar Point, Maverick is easily the best in the park. I actually really like the transitions and airtime. Steel Vengeance is great but, Iron Gwazi is much better. Valravn has no airtime compared to SheiKra. Wild Mouse is the best family coaster at the park. The food has improved a lot over the past 5 years.
Cedar Point is very overrated. They have 4 good coasters and the rest suck. The 4 good ones they have consistently break down. They have a poor flat ride collection. Poor theaming. No dark rides. Their kiddie sections need completely redone. No modern wooden coaster. Just a terrible experience.
You need to keep in context the park and rides. The park is the second oldest in the world with a long history over 100 plus years. Also you need to keep in mind the rides that appear to be nothing today most were the tallest and fastest when they first opened. Like Gemini was the fastest and steepest when it opened. It was a big deal then. The other factor is the Sandusky area is a very good area and the location of the park is amazing compared to others surrounded by parking lots. Cedar point is coming to sone big changes as they have to remove things to add now. The new board walk will be a great addition the replacement of the frontier area should prove interesting. This will open a lot of space for new rides. I have been to other parks yes they may have a coupe rides but that is it. They have little cool experience for atmosphere. Cedar point is like a trip to the coast for the land locked Midwest.
Cedar Point is overrated when people say it’s so much better than Magic Mountain. Magic Mountain is every bit as good and as the advantage of being in Los Angeles
I wouldn't go so far as to say it's overrated, but I will confess the coaster lineup isn't the best I've experienced. Millennium Force, Top Thrill Dragster, and Maverick are three of the best coasters I've ever ridden, and Gatekeeper is my favorite wing coaster as well, but after that, it does drop down a bit. For example, I've ridden better floorless coasters than Rougarou, better suspended roller coasters than Iron Dragon, better inverts than Raptor, etc. But if you look past all that, it's definitely a destination park with lots of other great rides and is not a place you'll be disappointed by at all.
The reason I believe Cedar Point is overrated is because many coaster enthusiasts treat it like it's the greatest place on Earth when it has its fair share of flaws.
@@Southeastern_Thrills u just aren’t making any sense here, Cedar Point has one of the best rmcs in the world, a top 10 maybe 5 intamin in the world, the first giga, hyper, and strata, but the theming is mid/ you can tell they are trying to work on it though

not a fan of having a separate price to get in the waterpark and coasters seem to be down a lot.
The only Cedar Point coasters I found unreliable were Top Thrill Dragster and Maverick. Also, separate admission for water parks is so common.

I wouldn’t go that far, but most of your points are valid

Ok, what’s your point though?
@@Southeastern_Thrills If I have to explain it you would never understand.
Sandusky is awful 😂 what an ugly crappy area.
@SonofBoss2000 It's just a relatively small town
I havent been to enough parks to say, but they have 4 rides that beat basically anything I've ever rode(non themed).
Could definitely be the case. Hope you get to Cedar Point one day. It’s truly a great place.
@@Southeastern_Thrills I'm saying I DID go to Cedar Point. I just havent been to enough parks to call it the best.
@@goldstarchoice Ok, sorry bout that. It seemed to me that you haven’t been.
I think the only parks that can compete are SFMM and Energylandia, I think once TTD comes back it will come back on top
True when it comes to coaster lineup. Also did you hear that TTD will reopen in 2024?
@@Southeastern_Thrills yep just saw the news

I haven't been to SFMM but, I feel like Cedar Point has a more well rounded lineup.

No theming and too much emphasis on roller coasters
Yep, most of the coasters are good but not great. In my opinion, their only great coasters are Raptor, Steel Vengeance, and maybe Maverick.
