It's good to watch a review from someone with the experience of a reviewer such as yourself, Rich. I suppose 12.7 bhp gets well soaked up on a bike with full luggage and crash bars etc. I have exactly the same bike bike as this and have been mightily impressed with it. Great for exploring the little lanes around Derbyshire where you and I live but also perfect for the TINY roads of Wales. I have made of couple of movies (Sinnis Movie and Two Days in Wales on a Sinnis Terrain) and would be very grateful for your comments if you can find the time (or is this not the done thing?). Anyway, great review, thanks and well done for giving us an open minded, un-biased review. Cheers. Phil.
Bring back memories TP1? For goodness sake tell him that They're linked. Good, thorough review though, Richie. Although we never did get to find out how far it would go on a tank full. Hopefully, you've got it for a while. Either way it'll be better on fuel than your AT.
Great to see you giving a smaller bike a chance. The reason that these 125's are slow is that they trying to meet ever more stringent emissions standards and the cheap way to do that is to strangle them and not put out the full 15bhp they're allowed in the UK.
Watched a video of one being assembled in the UK (they arrive in a crate and seem to need a lot if screwing together - maybe not a bad thing). Without all the bars and luggage it looked as smart as anything else.
Good little starter bike that and cheap as a bag of chips. On another note, how in gods name does this channel only have 31k subs when you see the effort going into the content. My daughter watches a lass on TH-cam who puts on make up and she's got 2 million subs!!! Weird world.
Great vid. I had one of theses and my opinion is that it's not underpowered.. Its just simply to heavy! I slightly upgrade to a zontes 310t.. Massive difference!
Great review! I'm getting one come October, so excited. Can I ask what make, and where can I get that suction cup for your go pro on the windshield? The picture of you riding is so much better than having a handlebar mount.
That was a cracking review Richy I have an Africa Twin that little bike would make a cracking alternative when I need a town runabout or a bimble machine 👍
Think your being abit harsh on the power, so what you paid, for what you get, and the weight its carrying i think its a cracking little bike, so it doesn't do 0-60 blisteringly fast, its not meant to. its a 125cc toura
I was so tempted by this bike. In the end paid the same money for a 10 year old Honda varadero. Glad I did tbh though. Sits at 70mph all day... Except up winnets pass 😂
These small bikes often mean that you can’t command any real road presence and end up either pulling off regularly to let cars past or hugging the road verge which can be dangerous as it doesn’t allow much room for error if you veer left! They need a bit more power for safety reasons in my view.
Going up one tooth on the front sprocket would make a decent difference to it. I was all set to replace my old shopping Honda scooter for one of these T125s in spring, but along came a bloody lovely baby Varadero so it'd have been silly not to grab it.
Have they asked you to try the t380 also? I know a few didn’t think it was that great in their reviews but it would be interesting to hear your views on it
When i get my cbt im looking for something to have days out on in the lanes of yorkshire and beyond, and not really interested in speed, or being a 'biker' - comfort and taking in the view is my thing, and this bike as it seems to tick a lot of boxes. All the reviews i've seen seem to speak quite highly of it for this purpose, I wont be daily commuting, and will be a pretty much fair weather rider, so a great review, thanks.
It weighs 331 lbs. Although a little Pricy for a 125 the thing I really don't like about it are the tires. On the street knobby tires will give less traction. These tires are slightly knobby.. not as pronounced as some but still enough to cause you to have traction problems.
Hi, greetings from Thailand, I've just bought a Zongshen Ryuka RX1, which is the manufacturer of the Sinnis bikes, just looking thru reviews and came across yours, the roads in this video look extremely familiar, are you anywhere near Chesterfield, Matlock, Sheffield etc?
Hahaha I went past you on my DR650 on the lane near chatsworth in the summer Rich, was watching you battle that ditch on the side of the lane having a drink thinking should I help push him :D
Looks like a good bike for a learner Richy but I reckon any more experienced rider would soon get fed up with it's lack of pulling power. Maybe the engine will loosen up a bit when it gets a few miles on it and it would rev out a bit more freely but looking at your test it seems to be dismally underpowered. I reckon anyone looking for a cheap "adventure bike" would rapidly get fed up with it's lack of performance but for a learner I think it would indeed be an almost ideal bike giving the learner both on road and moderate off road experience as you said in your video and the off road experience being something that most learner bikes don't normally provide.
I completely disagree with it being underpowered. It's the same as any other 125 four stroke. Richy isn't giving it the beans the bike revs above 10k. The only time it lacks power is very steep hills and going from 60 to 70mph. I've posted a few videos showing what the bike is like.
yeah even allthough it looks good, let me tell ya though. My son used to drive a 125, a honda varadero which seems a bit more powerfull than this one, when he first got his A1 licence. He drove it to work very early every morning for a year to his work but i have to tell ya i am glad he now has his A2 licence and drives a VStrom now. Its great for puddlng around a 125 but to be honest in the midst of busy traffic there is nothing left powerwise to get you from a dire situation fast... it scared the shit out of me the lack of power to be honest.
Yea its a shame that 125s dont have enough power to keep with traffic better 15 to 20hp would be about right for this class of first proper bike , our licence laws are still not quite right The old 250 two strokes where too fast on L plates And now the 125s too slow Should be unrestricted say 8 to 10hp for cbt level or first time Then 20hp with cbt pass Then say 50hp full pass 50cc to 250cc still on L plates got a lot of us killed back in my day , lost a few m8s that way
Indeed, is a youngster more likely to have an accident on a 15hp Yamaha dressed up like a sports bike or a 20hp 350 RE. If you're over 24 why bother with A2 as test is the same and most schools use restricted bikes, pointless. But the accident rate in 1970 was horrendous now even pizza delivery riders are sensible.
I love mini adventure bikes. Wish there were more midsize too, which you do kind of need here in Canada because you often have to go over 100 km/h. But it's so nice to be able to flick the bike around (or pick it up when you're riding solo in the sticks). Would you have a go at the new CB500X they updated for '22?
@@RichyVida Yes I bought my wife one to pass her test. The rear brake powerful but it is because it’s linked. It took me a while to convince my wife that she shouldn’t just use the foot brake as when she gets a big bike she will get a massive shock. 😂

I watched your reviews last week Phil, and thought they were excellent, your content was pretty much what i have in mind as well. GL

Had mine last December, it looks bigger than a 125cc and is a comfy ride. Loving having little adventures on it and have started a vlog.
People have ridden to Mongolia on these cracking little bikes!
Good to see you showing it in all its possibilities 👍
Great review Rich nice to see the bike being tested on and off road and nice touch showing the ease of picking it up if needed. 👍

Thanks for noticing, Jon! Maybe I’ll try some make-up vids?! 😆😆
@3:18 Richy Vida Supporters Club, UK. Cheering on their hero!
Amazing value for money, off road capability and panniers, definitely brilliant for a newbie, Cheers Richy.
What a great, real world review Rich. Loved it! You can’t beat a bike that likes a lie down! Looked a lot of fun for the pennies👍 Thank you

Is the back brake bitey because they are linked? I think they must either have ABS or be linked on a 125cc, I could be wrong mind.
These do have linked brakes!
Yeah linked 👍

Yes, exactly there! Well spotted 👍
Great review I wish I could afford to have one in the garage just for giggles
That looks mega!
I wonder if you can net an extra few horses by changing the air filter like on a KTM Duke.
Haha! Made me giggle! what a bike for the pennies! loved it!
Have you got a link for the jacket rich? Looks smart. Got an XSR125 with no USB port 🤬

ha ha laughed my head off at you trying to go through the ditch at the car parking place.. nice try pal !! " oh dear " .. dakar !!
10.00 for a full tank ? Bloody hell I filled my cb 125 r 5 litres cost me just over tenner ,nearly 1.50 a litre wtf 😑
If you had hair like TMF you could ride right round Britain on that :)

The back brake is terrible you can’t pull skids with it. 👎
3 grand for a bike so well equipped, that's amazing. Cost that much to buy three Ducati metal boxes for my multistrada.
@@stephengraves5222 Kind of a random reply to my statement.
Do you have one? The rear brake on this was amazing, actually… 👍
I think the reason you can’t “pull skids” is that it’s linked to the front brake. Or at least it feels like it’s linked.
