Wow thanks for all the kind words guys! Massive shoutout to Alexandra and the team for such a beautiful transformation! Can’t wait to see what projects we can create in this space!
You are one of the main reasons I watch these videos. I'm thinking there must be a powerful air filter that would help get rid of all that dust. I'd contact businesses that would need something like that.
I thought the same thing. That he showed this vulnerability and honesty makes me love this team even more. I wish there was a similar group doing what they do here in France.
This is so brilliant! It's something that would have done Marie Kondo proud. Also Graham should be featured on Mr. Porter's Channel courtesy of Tom Ford, he shows guys from all over the world and everything that they do and it's so inspriing.
i agree, but i also think Alexandra deserves a huge pat at the back, she is very thoughtful, empathetic and caring boss. this is literally why we need women as leaders.
Oh Absolutely wonderful! Graham you are so talented…and Alexandra and team! Just absolutely beautiful ! This was just a beautiful video to watch…This is how work should be…inspiring and encouraging all! Good on you all!
Yeah, we may not get the surprise reveal at the end, but in this case it was a necessary sacrifice. It led to a very satisfied customer who's already at home in his new space.
Graham deserves this makeover. But, don't take shortcuts on the power. Plugging a power strip into an extension cord that is then plugged into a receptacle is a "daisy chain" and is unsafe and a fire hazard. You can purchase a power bar with a cord long enough to reach the outlet. The safest way to do this is to have an electrician to install an outlet near the cabinet so all the appliances can be plugged into a receptacle.
I do not know if Canada has an agency like OSHA but in America, it is a OSHA violation to daisy chain anything in a business. I suggest you fix that fast by calling in an electrician before you get a large fine for your business.
@@PeaceLoveDollsIt's the same, yes. I live close to Toronto where they film etc. and its the law here too. I was surprised watching them put it together too, little concerned. Hopefully they see these comments and fix it :)
Another thing i love as i rewatch this is how Graham emphasized several times his center work table "CANNOT BE PRETTY" like looking at her saying don't you dare make this cute 😂
For the sandpaper drawer, my idea would be to use the Tupperware organizer with the vertical dowels to keep them tidy and so they don't move every time you open and close drawers. I would've lined all the drawers with a rubber mat thing for drawers (drawer liner?) so things don't move too much when it's opened each time especially with heavy tools in there
Loved the makeover for Graham who’s a valuable Team AG member! The workshop is looking fabulous. Couple of suggestions: need some storage bins for the drawers or those ikea kitchen drawer dividers to keep everything sorted and upright. Use of dymo labels on bins to keep things organised. Also be careful of storing glues, paints and solvents together. Highly flammable and some should not be stored next to each other, for example red and yellow chemical label symbols should not be next to each other. Also I don’t see fire extinguishers or fire blankets in the workshop or safety exit and evacuation signs. And I’d also check the PPE quality Graham uses in the confined workshop with dust, chemicals and fumes. Some chemicals may need to be stored in fire safe cabinets. Also is there an industrial first aid kit available? Also I suggest a safety label description poster to check symbols on labels. ( Sorry, but I’m a retired OHS consultant and these are important safety measures and employers need to ensure safety measures for employees. It might pay to get someone in to advise and check workshop safety particularly with Graham possibly working alone in a isolated workshop)
These are such great comments! I too am a safety fan although not an expert like you. 😊 The other thing I wondered about is plugging kitchen appliances into a power strip AND having the strip attached to an extension cord. I think you’re supposed to have each appliance plugged into its own outlet, so I hope they’ll have an electrician come in and add outlets for that. This is an amazing workshop space and I’m so happy for Graham and Team AG-and I want it to be safe. ❤
Graham deserves a super place to create. He is more than a handyman- IMO Graham is irreplaceable! The furniture and things that he manifests comes from that brain he has! Remarkable.
I agree. He is more than a handy man. He is so talented! He could have a (custom made, one off) furniture business. It would do so well. He is definitely an asset to this show.
I feel like we always see a jokey Graham, so it was incredibly sweet at the end when he was so genuine in saying he feels like this space will help him do better work ❤ the space looks amazing!
Made me wanna cry when Graham said the make over made him feel more professional and capable if doing greater and bigger projects!! Graham, in my eyes you are a professional whose does a great job on all the projects….You are extremely talented and humble. You take on every project and love doing it! I hope you Love this makeover but remember you are the one who makes that space wonderful……
So much to love about this video! All the laugh attacks, appliances with missing legs and handles (LOL), the video game character sequence, the Paula coat rack and of course, Graham getting an incredible upgrade on the workshop after all the hard work he's put in. And I think you did a great job respecting that it's a workshop that's going to get messy! As an artist, I actually LOVE the paint covered tables and workbenches because it always makes me feel comfortable to get as messy as I need to while creating.
Very nice. I strongly suggest though 2-things: 1.) An inclosed space for Graham to hang his coats so they don’t get dusty from all the future cutting and drilling that will be going on in that workshop. 2.) Put a board on top of top of the inclosed tower cabinets, so it extends out beyond the door. This will help dust from coming down into the cabinets as there is a gap opening at top between the cabinet and the door. Otherwise, perhaps at least putting a weather strip rubber or felt strip just around inside of cabinet that contains microwave, coffee station and fridge, that way, at least that tower cabinet can have a better seal against dust getting in easily.
I saw Graham on Thanksgiving as he was walking into a local coffeeshop and I was walking out. You know when you have that moment of recognizing someone and your first thought is "this is someone I know (IRL)"? I almost said, "Oh hi, Graham!" like an old friend, but I thankfully caught my tongue before embarrassing myself. It did make me chuckle, though. Tall guy in person, catches you off guard when you're used to a Lilliputian-size character on your computer screen, haha!
You were amazing before but Graham has elevated your work to a different level. Since he joined the team you were able to custom make so many amazing things and bring to live design ideas in just the perfect way, something you just don't get when you have to source everything. It's really made your entire channel even better. Graham, you're amazing. Also, I totally would've kept that Paula coat hook, cause it is funny and plays into Graham using free stuff instead of buying new. It was a funny little piece of inside joke. The new ones are beautiful, tho.
Yup, that was the one mistake, getting rid of the Paula coathook. Made me a little sad as it dissed Graham's practicality which is one of his admirable traits. Paula held way more, too.
@@bodie1098I know, right? That’s one of the things that drives me slightly batty about her makeovers. She has a tendency to ultimately reduce certain kinds of storage. The bedside tables in the next episode - Niamh’s bedroom - are just not gonna be adequate for what N said she’d be storing in them. They will need internal organization, and because they are round, that will be difficult and inefficient. They LOOK great in the room, but they are less practical for the very thing N said they were for. Here, Paula held more, and was hilarious as well. Shoulda kept Paula!!
@@DawnDavidson lolol That's exactly what I thought. No way you can keep important papers in there. Here we go again with pretty over function. It's possible to do both.
This is definitely the most "deserving" video. Graham deserved the makeover, we deserved to watch it and it's such an honour to do so, and Team AG definitely deserved it too. I love it! ❤
Graham is such a gorgeous human! I just love the vibe between Alexandra and Graham and how much they make each other laugh and how proud they are of each other. This video really showed the amazing vibes between everyone on the team. I was dying of laughter. Such a good episode. Nice!
It’s crazy you don’t have a million subscribers already, hands down my favorite makeovers to watch! Always so organized and put together. Like a professional Netflix show! Graham deserved this, great job guys!
IMPORTANT TIP: If you secure the framed wall art with 4 MIRROR FASTENERS, it won't get knocked over by the ladder when you pull it out (which will be often).
Hi Alexandra, the workshop looks great. I hope, you kept in mind that the shelves in the PAX have a max. loading weight of 20 kg per shelf. I put more on mine and it broke down. I solved the problem by buying OSB boards, cutting them to the hight I wanted the shelves to have and put them to the sides of the PAX, put the shelf atop the OSB and repeated it. Since then the shelves are holding up and everything I put on them - I only lost 1,5 cm per side.
@@vivienvomsee8793 Thanks, that’s good to know in case I ever get around to getting organized. 😂 I’m more organized than I used to be though thanks to Alexandra’s many clever ideas.
What an incredible transformation. AG looks like such a fun company to work for and I’m excited for Graham for this space. I can’t even believe how he worked in the space before.
I was a little worried about the big doors, thinking it might be awkward to open to get stuff out of drawers or the back of a shelf. I should’ve trusted AG more because I LOVE the rolling doors. Soooo much more practical! Then he can just leave it open to get to what he needs in the project, and then easily close them when he’s ready to make it closed again. I know things like that are so helpful for me with my ADHD!
Amazing transformation. Graham is a great asset to the team and a really humble guy. But hey, Alexandra, your sweater in the intro...please share source...please? P.S. I live in Idaho and it is VERY COLD and snowy. That sweater looks warm and cozy.
I have been wanting to share a tip, since I first started watching your Vids If you take a large nail, and hammer it into the top edge of your paint can, making a hole in the lip, the excess paint will drip back into the can , and prevent the lid from sticking and getting full of paint . Or, Here's another tip I found . I'm 75 years old, love to make and do, and if there's one thing I have learned in my life, it's that you're NEVER too old to learn!! love your work 1
Great job! The refrigerator is going to need some more airflow to the back of it though. Maybe drill some holes towards the back on the left side of the cabinet or make some cool design in the front. Love it! An organized space like that will help so much with inspiration and productivity!
yes - you're exactly right about the refrigerator's airflow. normally you'd also want to have a metal grid in the skirting board under the cabinet to allow more airflow. greetings from an IKEA kitchen designer and new fan of your channel
Great makeover. You need to re-hang the fridge door so it opens the same way as the cupboard door. Simple to do and it will stop irritations every time you want to use the fridge.
GRAHAM NEEDS HIS OWN MOTIVATIONAL POSTER! We need to be reminded that EVERY STAIN TELLS A STORY ❤😂. You can put it next to your “You Can See My light” poster 🙏
"Every stain is a story." This NEEDS to be put on a plaque (that Graham makes and signs!) and put in every laundry room you do from now on. LOVED THE GAMING BIT!!
Major change and transformation. Wonderful tribute to the value Graham brings to all the make-overs. And, when a space is organized it contributes to higher productivity. Happy for Graham and the entire team. Great leadership move Alexandra!
My husband was just like Graham when he was younger and it was the best feeling to give him an organized space for his workshop. This redo is awesome and so deserving for Graham. I love how the team has a great time together doing projects.
Great video, yes Graham deserves this!! Suggestion: please devote more time at the end of makeovers to show the reveal. Film slowly and let us really take it all in. I feel this is soooo important! Thanks for listening. And hope you can get to a million this year!
I am LOLing about the choose-your-fighter “ready” bounce. HILARIOUS!! You folks have so much fun together, and that’s part of what makes it fun to watch you. ❤
I am so happy Graham got a makeover, very much deserved! I would have loved to see Danie help out to offer tips on organizing. When I saw how the sandpaper was just placed loosely in the draw, I gasped and said that will be a hot mess in two weeks. Drawer organization and ties around the cords, etc. I would have liked to see bright workshop lights for direct overhead lighting (cute lamps are pretty but not functional) and a central pull down electrical outlet. A pegboard to hang tools for easy access vs a huge corkboard (more suitable for an office). Overall it looks amazing, but I hope to see Part 2 which shows shop friendly organization now that the foundation is there.
Seeeeriously so satisfying seeing the before and after! A place for everything and everything in its place, and with labels, too. Congrats on the new workspace, Graham!
Love that the workspace is getting an update. Graham is very well deserving of having an updated space. The door color is not exactly Home Depot but it’s pretty close. More like Hõme Dépot.
I love graham so much . I obviously loved your channel before and everyone but he has a special soul. Definitely irreplaceable. He totally deserved this ♥️
The goofy parts of these videos give me so much joy. I particularly loved the after scene of this one. I also enjoy when Alexandra has a laughing attack. It just does something to me. It's contagious...in a good way.
Love the racoon comment. The place looks amazing. I am like Graham with couch cusions. I will even cut off the leather or fabric from the free couches. The leather can make bench cusions, handles, purses etc. The fabric and cushions can also make bench seats, outside cushions with drop clothes and the stuffing makes excellent dog/cats beds. Endless possibilities.
Wonderful makeover -- I thought you had given Graham a space that was too small but it isn't too small -- just needed clearing and organizaion. Big & important recommendation for mainly Graham's health -- get a good strong air filter that he runs whenever he's working to clean the particulates out of the air. I would bet there are ones made just for workshops.
HOT TIP: find some of those old plastic CD/DVD holders, the round type of varying heights - and put all the round sandpapers inside them to keep the drawer even tidier! 😃 This was ONE OF THE BEST makeovers! As an apartment dwelling DIY-er (that means...I've never had enough room to do anything), this remade work area gives me ALL the feels. So jelly! Go Graham! Can't wait to see what you can do now, yay!
The workshop looks SOooooooooooooooooooo GREAT! Graham deserves a space like that!! I wish my workshop looked that way. I am working on it, but it's outside so I will have to wait til Spring to continue it. I am ging to use Graham's as an insentive. Graham does such good work, and so inventive when it comes to unique things needing made. I'm happy for you Graham. ENJOY and keep coming up with wonderful ideas.
Adore this team and GH is so darn adorable. You kids are all old enough to be my kids AG I have proudly followed you since you had 25 subscribers. As a nurse all I can humbly suggest get a really good air cleaner with dust collector. Wood working can cause really bad lung problems long term believe me I have been a ICU nurse a very long time
Omg I was lost without you these past weeks. I rewatched some of your older vids to get my AG fix. I’m so happy to see Graham get some love and a space that inspires and makes it easier to work his magic. ❤
I think Graham is an amazing carpenter, painter, etc and I truly believe he will be even more talented with this wonderful workshop makeover! He absolutely deserved this new space!!!
Oh my gosh!!! I just swoon for Graham. He seems so nice and funny and genuine. He deserves this beautiful space. He is so lucky to have such a great team and friends. It looks amazing. And i can't wait to see what all he does this year!! I love my team AG!!!
So glad that Graham has the space he needs and deserves to do all of his awesome work and, as he said, a space to grow in professionally. Graham is such a valuable member of the team and he always wows me with his creative abilities. I did feel that there was a missed opportunity with this video, which was (and please don't think I'm trolling, because I'm not meaning to be at all!) that Graham could have been celebrated more appreciatively throughout the video. Too many times when he was the butt of jokes and was, imho, treated a little less respectfully than he could have been. A team of people, mostly women, descended on his space (with all great intentions, to be sure) and then gave him a hard time about the condition of his kitchen appliances, his hoarding tendencies, etc., and even decided for him what needed to get tossed. I felt a little sad for him in those moments. That being said, the space looks great! No doubt, Graham will do amazing things in his new space! It is now so organized and functional (I wish I had the same!) and I can't wait to see what magic comes out of it as you all tackle your 2024 goals. I have no doubt that you will reach your 1M subscribers this year! Thanks for all the great videos, and I hope you don't mind the feedback.
Stumbled on this channel in December. Been binge watching the episodes and every one of them has been mind blowing, seeing the growth from when you started. Graham truly deserved this makeover as the maverick he is of team AG. Wow, the workshop transformation is absolutely beautiful. Sending love from Kenya.
The silent laughing!!! I do that so often and you almost had me doing it with you!!! Great job and so happy Graham has a fun, organized space to do his “more professional” projects. As if he wasn’t already totally amazing!! ❤❤❤
I loved this video, my favorite part is that you added sentimental value items for Graham all over the place. Very deserving and again, so thoughtful of you to customize the space to Graham needs and taste. Happy New Year team AG!!🎉
I wanted to see if anyone would point that out. It looks nice to have the whole stack of drawers but it's a little impractical to only be able to access the top drawers with a ladder. Regardless, I'm so glad for Graham to have this space. This shows how valued his work is!
Oh good, I thought I was the weird one for a minute because nobody else said anything about the drawers. What's the point of drawers you can't see into? At least it's a workshop so it's more likely Graham will go looking for specific items rather than need to browse a category to find what he needs.
I truly like your vibe with your team ..you really inspire me and I truly enjoy your content...maybe this makeover can lead to other workshop spaces in garages...a new niche brings more subscribers...good look getting to a million....you have all your fundamentals covered .Live, Laugh &Learn as they say..have Great Days😊
You all would be lost without Graham's talent and hard work. He deserved this makeover. But knowing what woodworker does to their 39:19 shop, I wonder what it looks like now (I'm watching this in August 2024.) Even though I don't need your type of service I really enjoy what you create to the small spaces.😊
Love this makeover for Graham! It is so well deserved. He has been a game changer for this channel. Looking forward to all the new videos in 2024! Go Team AG!
What a great group you guys are! It would be fun to go work with all ofyou! So nice of Alexandra to give such a deserving coworker a nice, organized place to do his fine carpentry. I hope they always stay together!
You are absolutely right that this has been the most anticipated video! I LOVE THIS FOR GRAHAM! 👏👏 and double love that you had the ikea team come in to do most of the building. It would have been cruel to make Graham do all of the work for his own makeover. Love, love, love your team so much! 💖💖💖 So excited to see all of the future projects Graham creates in his updated workshop! 😊 Also wanna shout out his patience during this process. I imagine it was difficult for him to have so many people moving around all of his things & wanting to throw away his precious dumpster finds. 🦝
Let's remember all of the cool things Graham has made from cast-off finds. His talented eye for choosing reclaimed goodies to make new inspirational items is what I come back to see:)

I agree. I love the reveals, but there's so much functionality to consider here, that Graham needed to be part of it.
idk why i ever thought he wouldn't be involved lol but yea he had to be

I solved the problem by buying OSB boards, cutting them to the hight I wanted the shelves to have and put them to the sides of the PAX, put the shelf atop the OSB and repeated it. Since then the shelves are holding up and everything I put on them - I only lost 1,5 cm per side.
I wondered about that. I also wonder how the drawers will hold up with the weight of the power tools in them.
@@suzannepharr7869 the drawers are quite sturdy.
That's so true, I'm so happy that him and David will have more space to move around in this cute and organized workshop.
I love how practical this makeover was. Definitely feels like the most practical makeover you've ever done!
Like so realistic I can actually do this in my own life
I was a little worried about the big doors, thinking it might be awkward to open to get stuff out of drawers or the back of a shelf.
It’s linked in the video description
I’m in Idaho too. I need more cute warm sweaters! Lol
I ❤ the boots AG wore with jean & sweatshirt!😅❤😮👢
In Idaho as well!
I have been wanting to share a tip, since I first started watching your Vids
If you take a large nail, and hammer it into the top edge of your paint can, making a hole in the lip, the excess paint will drip back into the can , and prevent the lid from sticking and getting full of paint .
Maybe reverse the door of the fridge too, if possible? Agreed about more airflow.
yes - you're exactly right about the refrigerator's airflow. normally you'd also want to have a metal grid in the skirting board under the cabinet to allow more airflow. greetings from an IKEA kitchen designer and new fan of your channel
Great makeover. You need to re-hang the fridge door so it opens the same way as the cupboard door. Simple to do and it will stop irritations every time you want to use the fridge.
I'm SO excited about this remake! Watching you organize Graham's workspace is gonna be soooooo satisfying!
It was so satisfying to do!!!
**Edit** Time for a second watch 😁
OMG Two things: One, so glad Graham got his own amazing space! I’m being creativity etc will increase! Two, “Chose Your Fighter”!! Too Funny!!! 😂
Graham is an amazing artist! I am inspired by how he takes a description of what Alexandra wants and brings it to life. Well done, Graham!
GRAHAM NEEDS HIS OWN MOTIVATIONAL POSTER! We need to be reminded that EVERY STAIN TELLS A STORY ❤😂. You can put it next to your “You Can See My light” poster 🙏
My name is Michael
And I’m here to say:
AG turned Graham’s workshop
From “nay” to total “SLAY” 🙌
OMG! NO ONE deserved a make over more than Graham! Lady, you knocked this one out of Roger's Stadium!!! What a transformation!!!
I loved the bit with the dust busters team. The shop looks great. Graham deserves this. He was already a professional but now he feels it.
I love graham. Literally the cutest man. Also i'm pretty sure he took that paula coat hook home to reuse
Graham is not a handyman but skilled carpenter.
"Every stain is a story." This NEEDS to be put on a plaque (that Graham makes and signs!) and put in every laundry room you do from now on.
LOVED THE GAMING BIT!!
His response at the end brought tears to my eyes!
I would have used that Paula hook somewhere, just because.
So nice for Graham
Major change and transformation. Wonderful tribute to the value Graham brings to all the make-overs. And, when a space is organized it contributes to higher productivity. Happy for Graham and the entire team. Great leadership move Alexandra!
Just the fact that we all love him so much and you guys giving this to him is a different type of love language. He is so deserving!
Team AG seems like the best place to work. Everyone is so happy and supportive and fun 🥲 enjoy your new workshop Graham!
This channel is so gentle on my nervous system. And I’m grateful for it.
Choose your fighter...hysterical!
I am LOLing about the choose-your-fighter “ready” bounce. HILARIOUS!! You folks have so much fun together, and that’s part of what makes it fun to watch you. ❤
So happy for Graham! An artist needs a space to grow. 🥰
It's not over until a suitable woodshop dust collector and fume ventilation system is installed. Chemical fumes and wood dust is no joke.
@@Jen.O Definitely agree! I'm still trying to get one set up in my area and I don't do a third of what Graham does.
Seeeeriously so satisfying seeing the before and after! A place for everything and everything in its place, and with labels, too. Congrats on the new workspace, Graham!
Yay!! Graham totally deserved a makeover. Love the space🤩 congrats Graham and way to go team AG.
WE LOVE THIS FOR GRAHAM!!!! WELL DESERVED!!!! WONDERFUL OF ALEXANDRA AND THE TEAM TO DO THIS FOR HIM 👏👏👏
I am finally caught up. So happy for Graham!! Time line irrelevant but his expression was Timeless!
Much 💚💚💚 ~Vie
God, I missed these guys! And to get a double shot of Graham isn't the worst way to start the year.
Love that the workspace is getting an update. Graham is very well deserving of having an updated space. The door color is not exactly Home Depot but it’s pretty close. More like Hõme Dépot.
So much fun to watch this! I want to see more of Dave’s personality. Like maybe some of those dad jokes?
This was such an intense project! You all are tougher than me! I would've walked in, seen the mess, and walked out! 😆 Fantastic work as always! ❤️
I love this makeover! Much deserved, Graham. And way to go, IKEA. That storage system is stellar!
So proud of Team AG's and in particular, this makeover. Well done everyone!
No one deserves a makeover more than Graham!! He is awesome!! The whole space is just AMAZING!! Love y’all!!🥰
HOT TIP: find some of those old plastic CD/DVD holders, the round type of varying heights - and put all the round sandpapers inside them to keep the drawer even tidier!
Fantastic, you made a good job of making it beautiful while following Graham's instructions for what he needed to keep.
Graham's workshop is the "Land of Misfit Appliances"!
Graham deserves all this and more!!! 💕
I love it :) Graham is an absolute gem, and deserves a great place to create in!
I really wanna be frienda or work with Graham. Just seems like such a super interesting and fun person, and a great person to be around.
The silent laughing!!! I do that so often and you almost had me doing it with you!!! Great job and so happy Graham has a fun, organized space to do his “more professional” projects. As if he wasn’t already totally amazing!! ❤❤❤
Graham is so spoiled. A great job, a great boss, and now a great space. And he deserves all of it.
yay Graham!!! so well deserved!
Graham is such a contributor to the team. So well deserved after all these years 👏👏👏🇺🇸
Graham is the BEST!!! Every home needs a Graham!
I loved this video, my favorite part is that you added sentimental value items for Graham all over the place. Very deserving and again, so thoughtful of you to customize the space to Graham needs and taste. Happy New Year team AG!!🎉
Looks great! That super tall stack of drawers is going to need a taaall ladder!
The title of the video made me so happy :D Graham deserves the best!
Graham really deserves this! We love you Graham! You’re amazing
Go Team AG!
Graham so deserved this makeover. A real craftsman and funny too!!!
Gram deserves this so much!!! This guy is so creative and just irreplaceable asset for Team AG!!!! 😊 And his personality is amazing too!!!! ❤
