It's great to have a meeting room. Especially when you have those video calls with clients. It would look way more professional to do them in an enclosed space with no disturbances. Love it! Using the space on the top for storage is awesome!

Graham is so everything! Don't know if they have these in Canada but I saw someone use Elephant Tags for storage. You buy the packs, use the app to take pictures of everything (you can tag, number, etc) then put the QR tag on the box and scan it. If you need to find something you pull up your pics and it tells you which box it's in.
I found it! looked for quite a while but I found it! It really is a THING but it is called Elephant Trax. Now to find who sells the system, because I desperately need it!!

I'll be curious if that little enclosed space will actually be used by anyone as office space. It does seem like it makes more sense to just put floor to ceiling shelving and hooks in there and use it as a storage space.
@@oldsha10 Agreed they need a space for that. I am not sure sitting in a windowless closet is a place I want to be in, even if it is nicely decorated. My guess is it will gather clutter in the same way the previous space did.
Agreed I think it will be echoey with that roof, if they do use it for zoom calls I expect they will end up filling the ceiling frame or stapling fabric on it to dampen the sound

We had exactly these kind of little zoom rooms for phone calls, because the rest of the office was open concept. When you had a phone call or zoom meeting, it was a way to make sure you weren't bothering anyone else, and you were typically online in one for 15min-60min at a time.
The ladder to storage seems logistically awkward but I’m guessing this arrangement will transition as needed. Saving money on a storage unit is an obvious win.
"I like pink now". I love that! My husband is also into pink now. For our bedroom I was toying with the idea of going pink and yellow, and when I was trying to ease him into my idea he just cut me off and said: "I'd love to have yellow walls with our pink bed." I can't tell you how happy that made me. I didn't even need to show him the art print that inspired it, he was already on board. I love these men secure with their masculinity.
It's so cute and actually very functional for Zoom/video calls. It's small but not cluttered, so it works. I love that shade of pink on the interior walls and those doors are beautiful! The ladder just finishes it off! You guys work together so well, and Graham is AMAZING!
I love how it came out, but I feel like the table and chair will become impractical because you can’t put your legs under the table, so it could be hard to work on.

i think it looks good! To bring more natural light in (so it doesnt feel too cozy) I would cut an opening on the back wall and put some frosted glass. this will let light travel from one side the the other and potentially make it feel bigger. but das just me

Hi, you should do a risk assessment etc, and have a process for accessing the roof storage (ie two people must be there, items up there can only be a certain weight, etc etc)….. if an employee fell while using it, or had a strain injury from passing something heavy down they would have a case to claim. It looks great though! Just worth being cautious as an employer!
Just want to add to this that it looks like your office is a sprinklered space and the ceiling/roof has blocked sprinkler coverage into that room. Where I live, this would be a problem in a commercial space. Looks great but make sure you are comfortable with your compliance!
I would put a fenced railing on the storage, or half a wall in front ( maybe plexi glass) so that it's safer and you can see through what you have up there... 😘

You need a longer ladder and should move the railing higher for safety. That’s part of what the instructions were trying to tell you, lol. Having it low like that is throwing off the balance point and increases your risk of falling when grabbing things off the loft.

I live in an apt complex owned by the Housing Athority in my city. I can't paint or use peel and stick wallpaper. I have yearly inspections, so I can't make changes to the existing walls So, all of my decorating has to be totally cosmetic. Color in the furniture, rugs, and art on the walls. Preferably command strips to hang art instead of nails. Also fabric and texture. I'm learning how to make my place cozy within those parameters. Thank you for all of your knowledge.
