My 2024 Honda Accord 1.5T began leaking oil at just 6,000 miles, and I also noticed low coolant levels. I’ve been diligent about maintenance, performing the first oil change at 500 miles and then every 3,000 miles thereafter. Prior to these issues, I experienced a noise from the A/C system, followed by the steering volume switch ceasing to click. Fortunately, everything has been addressed under warranty, but I’m growing increasingly concerned about the decline in Honda’s quality. I always wait 5 minutes before turning off the engine after highway driving, and I exclusively use 93 octane fuel. Despite these precautions, the issues persist-it’s disappointing how much Honda’s quality seems to have deteriorated.

I have a 2024 accord EX and a 2024 HRV Sport and I’ve had a couple quirks. My HRV went into the shop 4 times to have the drivers window repaired. Window refused to roll up half the time and kept bouncing down. First they said it was the seals, then said it was out of adjustment, eventually they just replaced the regulator, seals, and the window motor and that solved the problem. Then we got a weird clunk in the rear when going over light bumps. Took it into service and found that the rear shock bolt had SNAPPED. Took a whole week to get the bolt in for our HRV but it was repaired and Honda gave us a rental. All has been good. We have had 0 issues with our 2024 accord which we actually bought after our 2024 HRV. The only thing I’ve noticed is the steering wheel is off center. The dealership performed a free alignment for me but it didn’t not solve the issue so I took it back. They GASLIT me and said it’s straight when it’s not. I have another appointment this Saturday and they are redoing the alignment, straightening the wheels, and uninstalling and reinstalling the steering wheel. I looked online and there is a TSB for this issue after the service advisor told me there has been no similar complaints for my accord. My 23 Sport Hybrid runs like a dream. I use it full time for Uber, avg 1200 miles a week. Runs like a dream. Bought a maintenance package when I bought the car and have not needed to pay for anything else since. Ever since Fast and Furious came out people think turbos are so cool. They add pressure (hurting the motor over time) and are incredibly costly to replace. Cracks me up that people want to “race” an Accord.
Thanks for the video. I've had my 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid EXL for about a month now. Everything is great, except the fuel economy, which has been around 42 mpg. I'm hoping it will improve over time. However, I've noticed a constant wind noise at speeds above 60 mph, which gets louder as I go faster and becomes unbearable at speeds above 75 mph. Coming from a 10-year-old Hyundai which is noticeably quieter, I expected better noise insulation in a new Honda accord.
Got the 2023 accord sportL and opted for the warranty for anything infotainment related, no issues yet except an over the air uodate left me stranded when I tried to fill up an a gas station
I have a '23 Touring that I've had for 6 months. I had the seatbelt recall check completed. The fuel economy dropped dramatically once it got cold. I am averaging literally 40 MPG over 6 months. I drive the hell out of it too. I love the car...especially coming from a '20 RDX A-Spec SH-AWD and its thirsty drivetrain.
All cars not just hybrids fuel economy drop in the winter. Due to the colder denser air which makes the car have to work harder to move through and the engine having to run even longer due the hybrid battery needs to warm up.
Ive got a 24 hybrid, build quality is good. The blower motor on mine started whining at 1k miles and the seat frame was installed poorly. Other than that no issues. Hoping for no bad injector or cracked piston. Thanks for the heads up. The design is bleh but the price was right.
Fuel injector failure on my 2024 Accord hybrid had to replace all of them along with the spark plugs. Rough idling at start or slow speeds. Just watch out for it
I have rhe 202 EX-Land I really like it so far. There’s a definite mileage drop in cooler weather, especially running the heater. No other complaints after 4-5 months. I’m fine with the low-key design
All hybrids are susceptible to mpg drop in cabin power usage may it be AC or heat or even rear defrost both absolutely destroy mpg. I highly recommend to be conscious about that and tire pressure. Long time hybrid user and love the low maintenance factor and awesome gas mileage.

I had a 23’ sport hybrid. Amazing car, but I did have a problem with the touch screen where I couldn’t connect to CarPlay, which was annoying. Taking off the battery terminal for a few mins and putting it back on fixed it for a little while, but the problem would come back. There was a part the was replaced to try to fix the problem, which was back ordered for a few weeks, but That didn’t fix the problem. And yeah I sold the car. At 7:08 when you’re mentioning the hvac noises Ive personally heard one on 23 that ended up having the recirculation gear screw too-tight and would cause a creaking noise. I was going to update on TechLine that I loosened the screw and applied lubricant and the noise issue was fixed (instead of previous posts removing the hvac box or replacing the hvac box) but they locked the forum?? I’d try loosening the screw that holds the recirculation gear on the fresh-air flap 1-2 full-turns if you ever get that concern 👍. Also we have had the mentioned 2.0L hybrids injector issues on 4-5 cars now but across all newer 2.0L failing rich. I’ve personally done injectors on a 24 crv hybrid with 11k miles.
@@BCautosolutions no problem, I’m going to try and see if I can comment on the TechLine forum again to help everyone out. It beats removing the blower box!!
Steering rack seems to be making a popping noise on a lot of them when turning the wheel at low to no speed and is also happening on mine. Honda seems to be replacing them quickly under warranty as they arise.
I just took mine into my dealer and they said it was the brakes that is making noise when I turn my wheels at low to no speed and said it’s normal smh.

The dealer flagged it as a serious safety issue, and keep the car for a week until they could figure it out. Apparently, a Honda Engineer from 150 miles away came out to look at it. They also fixed a squeak in the AC blower and another one the display unit. This model seems to sit very low causing us to scrape the aluminum splash guard on the regular. Can’t see a pattern cause it’s intermittent but when it happens it happens only at initial acceleration like leaving a stop light, I notice it cause in my 06 accord 3.0 auto used to do the same thing from 1st to 2nd but I would change the fluid out every year so that problem was solved some what. But this newer one only has 8,000 miles and I broke in the car for 1000 miles properly, so I don’t know why it would do it especially intermittently that’s why I haven’t taken it in yet cause the dealer may not notice it and I don’t want to waste my time going if they can’t reproduce the issue. It's a little early to say the new or revised 1.5 is going to have HG issues. First, proper maintenance especially oil changes and tier 1 fuel are a must. Second, Honda of Japan made internal changes to the 23 Accord 1.5 and are silent about what they did. The Hybrid is outstanding but time will tell on reliability.

The 1.5t had minimal changes and I have zero reason to believe the head gasket issues won’t continue. I’ll have my thoughts on a video next week.
@@letjs a review from savage geese. I would like some clarification from Honda on the changes that were made. I would also like Honda to respone to any design issues that would lead to failed head gaskets
Laughs in 2.0t accord
😅
The car is a complete flaw! I dropped mine off today for the 10th time. It's been having all kinds of issues, from suspension all the way to emissions.
Wow, sorry to hear.
Why is that car in the background just sitting on the floor
Did someone stole the rims
Yes
Going from my 2015 accord to a 2023 accord as a rental not going to lie I hate it. The car just feels boring like I’m driving a Prius or a boat. And the sport mode does nothing either no option to switch it to manual mode is a real let down. My other issue is the design looks too boxy like it’s trying to look like a Tesla or the new Nissan Z
No J35 avaliable.. Not happy about that.
That’s been for a while now although i agree
I have the exl hybrid… I really couldn’t care less about the ugly it exudes.. the only thing that matters to me is the fact that you can put 4 full grown adults in it with a trunk full of luggage and still get 44mpg average on the highway
👏👏
No wonder honda sales are falling with the slopy design and eliminating the coupe accord
Sedan sales are down overall as SUVs are selling more and more. Coupes have been dead for a while and very minimal sales came from them. Simply put they aren’t practical and sales margin wasn’t there to justify keeping a coupe.
I want an accord pretty badly but this boat is blah.
So previous gen?
@@BCautosolutions yeah 2.0 is much better looking
Weird looking engine bay 😅😅
I like the extra room
