Great video my dude! I've been trying to decide between a few different kayaks, and this video has me leaning towards the max 10. I appreciate the input.
Hey man, what an awesome review! I've been watching your videos but since they always show up as "recommended" I never had to actually sub. Silly me for waiting so long but now i'm locked in as SUBSCRIBED!
I almost bought one of those but I went with the hobie because of the fins that are better in the rocks and weeds. Great tips, it really is a nice kayak with what looks like more storage than my compass. I love the under seat storage.
You can’t go wrong with either honestly! I debated on a Hobie or Vibe for the fin style pedal drive, but I couldn’t resist the Native once I saw all of the features! I also debated on the Jackson’s with the flex drive but they were pretty pricey and hard to find.
Really appreciate that man! Pedal drives are definitely worth the money to be more hands free and the ability to cover more water. There’s tons of great pedal drive options these days too, but I’m super happy with my Native. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! You can't go wrong with either honestly. I have friends that love their Old Town! I went with the Native for the amount of features and storage, and just the way it's set up. Plus it looks a little cooler in my opinion! 😁
Great job ! Very informative video, looks like you're very satisfied with this model. Two questions, do you have any problems removing or installing the landing gear once on the water ? And which model life vest are you using ? Thank you
@@patdelaney9957 I really appreciate you watching! Glad you enjoyed it. Yes I’m very happy with the kayak still! The landing gear is a little of a pain to put up or get out on the water. There’s usually not a way to do it without getting wet. But it’s still worth it to have them attached and not have to mess with a cart.
@@patdelaney9957 The vest in this video is the NRS Chinook (amzn.to/3Z2gPxN). I switch between that and a low profile CO2 self inflating vest for super hot days (amzn.to/3Z2kRGr).
I highly recommend it. It's handled windy days and decent boat traffic well, but I haven't been in anything crazy yet. It cuts through nicely on windy chop though.
Sorry for the late reply! I don't know anyone that has the Moken 10 PDL so I'm not much help. Besides that I think it has the drop down rudder in the back which I wish the Native had. I think the Moken is cheaper but the Native Slayer Max is loaded with great fishing features and crazy stable.
It's incredibly stable. Doesn't wobble when standing up or sitting down, and barely moves when you set the hook. I'm also able to do a 180 to reach behind the seat or get pics from my Gopro. I have multiple videos fishing from it if you want to watch it in action.

I appreciate you watching! They also recently released the Slayer Propel 10 LTE which is pretty cool! Wish mine was a tad lighter 😂
Thanks for the shout out brother 👊 happy to help 👍
Of course man I appreciate all of the help and advice that led me to this yak! When it warms back up I want to come fish the San Marcos area 🤙

Hahaha it's all good man. I've appreciated you watching and commenting this whole time even without a sub!

Great review, I wish I had a pedal drive kayak! That’s one awesome kayak! 🔥

Sick kayak
Thanks brotha! When are you getting one so we can catch all the feesh?
Just picked me up the same model from TG in San Marcos this past weekend. Can't wait to hit the water in it! Thanks for this video! #atxnative
Hell yeah man congrats on the new yak! The guys at TG are awesome. Hit me up if you have any questions about it like mods or whatever!
Awesome video
Really appreciate that!! Glad you enjoyed it 👊
Great review! I’m between that kayak or the old town pdl.

Is the Moken 10 PDL a consideration ?

Awesome video! Your channel looks really cool!! Just subbed too!👍
Ayyy I really appreciate that! I got ya back!
I was looking at purchasing one of these. How does the 10 handle rougher water?
I highly recommend it. It's handled windy days and decent boat traffic well, but I haven't been in anything crazy yet. It cuts through nicely on windy chop though.
How would the native slayer compare to the Moken 10 pdl ?

Is it very stable when you stand? I want to get one.

@@FishATX Great thanks! Gonna get one next week!
@@doughodson5939 Awesome man you're gonna love it! Let me know what you think and if you have any questions.
How is the side kick holding up?
@@doughodson5939 So far so good! I definitely haven't babied it either taking it over tree roots and rocks. It's a game changer and back saver!
