More bass! More safety! Adding a subwoofer and roll hoops to my electric BMW Z3

- I've been sat on some upgrades for my EV-swapped, body-swapped BMW Z3 for probably two years now. Finally time to fit them. This includes a set of standard BMW roll hoops that maybe don't do that much in terms of safety, but which I've always thought looked cool. And the subwoofer that I repaired in a previous video.
In this episode I customise some of my old trim to fit the new parts and get the (mostly) fitted, along with my new heated leather seats. It's slowly becoming, as the cliche goes, a nice place to be.

1:46 Yip, I used mine yesterday when I discovered my battery voltage dropped much quicker than I expected. 😳
11:27 A few coats of stone chip before the satin black will smooth things out nicely. That's what I did with my centre console.

@@EVDIY It might take 3 or more coats but smooths everything out nicely.
4:37 No choice, you need an Android head unit to monitor the voltage of the battery pack. It's an ESSENTIAL part of the build.

A single DIN with an extended display would look great.
But a true OEM look wouldn't be so bad either.
Nah - not with the body swap. The customisation is fairly mild for now but ultimately I suspect it will be a long way from OEM.
I like those single din ones but I don't like the way they obscure other stuff. Would have been a damned sight easier though!
Can highly recommend the joying brand for snazzy head units..... very good software....
