Bah, you just have to hold out until they offer you an insane amount of money - if they are driving this German shit-heap, you know that they both have the money, and they don't care about money enough to buy a turd like this just to show how much money they have.
With the way things are going the Camry and the S class are probably going to have the same interior in a few years which will just contain 4 screens on the dash with RGB lights and people will praise it for being "minimalistic"
The champagne flute wheels fit the car so much better. First, they just look better in general, and second, most importantly, the flow incredibly well with the front grill.
@@Gorilla_Jones I acknowledge your challenge, but I neither possess Jack's muscles of steel to clobber your head in, nor his amount of bullion to hire lawyers. I am afraid you will have to fight with someone else, sir.
Mark really gets the luxury experience...even in my humble used 2017 e300 with all the options, often times I get somewhere, even after sitting in traffic for an hour, yet I don't actually want to get out of the car...I'd rather stay in the car being swaddled and totally comfortable with an awesome sound system than go try to have fun doing something else.
Honestly I get the same expernce from my 2020 last of the line Ecoboost Mustag preuim with all but 2 options... It's just so nice to sit in, look at and fun to drive. But yeah I get the luxery experience as a car is more then an appince or toy, it's an office and living room.
I hit the jackpot and had a job related trip that somehow put me in one of these on a trip across Germany. Greatest automobile experience of all time. I coaxed the driver into pinning it more than a few times - what a beast. You can’t tell the difference between 10mph and 150mph.
Here is the problem: This car is not TIMELESS. The interior is like a nightclub and two tone exterior is looking horrible. It's very obvious that when they first designed this generation of the S-class, the designers did not know that the company will offer a two tone version.
I agree, I find the exterior actually ugly and not anywhere near the level of the interior. I also think all the screens and RGB LEDs will not age well. We had this stuff in limos over the past few decades and it's tacky as hell. Some ambient light is great...rainbows on every surface is maybe a little much. Also, using high end materials and nice designs is awesome, but anyone can slap $200 tablets into a car, that's not luxurious when it costs very little, it's easy to implement and all cars at all price points can have it. I still love the back seats but I don't love the direction they are going in. I feel like Genesis went the route of luxury without relying on screens and lights all over the place, similar to Rolls Royce and Bentley, while the Germans went the opposite way for some reason.
How would that be possible when the W222 Maybach was also offered with two-tone paint. Considering only a small number of total S-Classes built will be specced with this option, it doesn’t make sense to potentially compromise the entire design language for this feature. In saying that though, I don’t find anything wrong with how the paint integrates into the design at all. The chrome strip across the rear acts as a natural break point for the two colours and the organic nature of the design lends itself well to the theme.
As an X222 owner, I think it's worth every penny esp. compared to RR and Bentley. Also, to keep it low key, simply debadge/rebadge it and choose obsidian black so fewer people could tell it from regular S550/560/580. Most owners of such cars care more about safety, comfort, and overall aesthetics, so I agree that all those new gimmicky stuff would not be considered as "luxury."
TBQH as someone who used to work for Emirates, this car pays for itself in 20 days. Crazy part is when they buy them they buy like 100s of these types of cars at a time which is understandable since they have flights everyday and for most of those flights business class is usually sold out.
The intro music reminded me of the batman theme song. I think it matches well with Mr.Wayne sitting in the back seat. I love how you give every car a theme and choose an intro song that matches it. I've been noticing this since the Venza. Maybe you've done it even longer but anyway a great subtle addition. Thanks for taking the time to put that much care in these videos. Th

The pneumatic suspension is probably the most reliable aspect of the car. I was thinking these had hydropneumatic. They've been doing airmatic for a few decades now and hydropneumatic is just too complex for almost no difference. Also agree with the displays. They will be ubiquitous in even the most entry level vehicles because they're not that expensive. Luxury cars need more differentiation there
So they’ve finally improved the Airmatic suspension? Any time you see a W220 on the road it’s either sagging or they replaced the Airmatic suspension with coils.

Gold Gold INTRO!!
Thank you for making these videos. Taking a peak at the engine bay just for visuals is nice.
“Luddite Package” sounds great. I’d love a car with modern quality & reliability without all the interior techno-BS.
The two tone is great 👍
I don’t lose I win 🏆….Mercedes the best or nothing 😎🤙🏾
Not with tablets in the interior
Driving segment should have been from the rear seats though with Champagne.
Nice boiler room quote in the intro.
