    Geez...what an incredible mind. This man is the kevin Cameron of levers. When he explains ergonomics, it's just fascinating yet easy to understand. Absolutely a national treasure of knowledge. I hope he has a son or daughter he is training. His knowledge should never be lost. Great video sir. Thank you sharing.

    At first I was like wow hes one of the types that talks a lot, but as the video went on and he stayed on topic and kept us all interested I started to not want him to stop talking 😂. You can truly tell he is passionate about what he does.

    That was a great video. Thanks for letting Bob talk and not interrupting him like others would do.
    I met Bob years ago at Interbike when he was producing "Feather" road bike rim brakes. Such cool stuff.

    My first ARC levers were on my 04 YZ, never had to replace a lever since. The stock lever was around $70, broke it on my first crash on the bike. Since then ARC on all my bikes and some very heavy get offs, no broken levers.

    I love bobhe and i talked for about an hr at indy sx a couple years back he showed me the master cylinder i got to hold it and play with it. And also he let me tinker with the memlon lever. At the time he was trying to figure out what to name the “flip chip” insert. The entire time i felt like i was talking with a genious. His mind is just always working

    I bought an ARC clutch lever a year ago. My wife got off her small bike, rode my bike for a min. Tried to stop, dropped the bike. Bent the new unbreakable lever on the first day. But they are really good products.

    This was some genius engineering on the adjustability for these cylinders. My question is that who's gonna make the brake lines for those if you install these on a bike that has banjo bolts for example

    Looks sick, now if you can slim up that rubber guard to make it a little more form fitting like the W.C. guards, and keep the price around the $150-ish per side range... we might be cookin

    Bob Barnett of ARC and Bob Morales of ASV should of stuck out together as a team they would of owned the aftermarket motorcycle business. One a machining -tech genius and the other a great marketer-rider

    Seems like a great guy. It is much better for him if he sells each team a drawer full of 100 dollar levers rather than selling them one lever and a bunch of 2 dollar inserts.

  • @jchavins

    what happened to the rotating clamp ? How many times have you seen a rider beating on the lever assembly to try to get it back into the proper position after a crash ?

    Imagine if the factories let him loose to fix anything else on their bikes. Suspension in general could use a guy like this. Each unit would be very expensive most likely

  • @marcusbevz6500
    @marcusbevz6500 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Why are all the levers so long if I try to one finger them they’d hit my other fingers, why don’t they have hydraulic spring assisted one finger clutches that mimic the shape mountain bikes have with thier levers, the clake one light clutch lever is the best clutch lever design out there too bad it’s super expensive

    • @utahdesertrider1806
      @utahdesertrider1806 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree. I cut the knobs off and tweak the end a bit. Then I have a cust 2 finger lever

  • @eschrader

    For guys that only use one finger to pull why can't the levers be small like mountain bike levers? They would be light, harder to break, less material etc.
