Choose the lower overall cost of home ownership. Invest the difference. When it’s time to upgrade, you can do so with an increased net worth and higher salary.

Yep, totally agree with that. The part we struggled with though was at some point a "low cost" house just wasnt worth the value. Too much work / investment required to make it worth it so have to find a balance for sure.

I just moved to Plano last august after graduating with a bs in finance and getting a job. I’m planning on getting a home this august/September or next February (if I have to sign another lease). Really glad to see another Dallas resident on here definitely subbing.

The townhome price to size ratio!?! Where in Dallas? I'm in Dallas too and spending so much time going back and forth between a home or a townhome. Great insights! Looking forward to more videos.

i got so many other fun things id rather do than maintain a house on my free time. townhouse for me. i just wear noise canceling headphones if neighbors want to have a party. less likely for crime especially if your single.

Totally agree with both of those, and depending on your area most townhomes will be younger single families anyways. Still chance of partiers but obviously still way less than an apartment.

I’d rather a new construction or a daily new. I don’t want to renovate

70 page HOA rule book!? I imagined there would be many rules but not that much!

So I guess you can forget about adding a solar panel if you have a townhome. Would suck if your only allowed to have a 25lb dog. If you want a dog that can protect you, a 25lb dog not an option unless it had a deep bark that sounds like a big dog.
