    That is criminally easy. I checked the valves on my K1200S a few months ago, and they were all in spec. It still runs fine. But I still have bouts of depression and uncontrollable weeping. If you have a K-bike and the valves need adjustment, arrange to have it stolen and take the insurance money. You will not regret it.

    This is an incredibly detailed and well done video on how to replace the valve schims. By far the best video I have seen. Thank you for taking the time to post and explain the process.
    I need to replace my schims on my bike r nine t pure. Would you know the sizes required for all schims?
    Thanks!

    • @gamotur
      @gamotur  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks 👍 You have to measure all valve clearances first and then calculate the right sizes. All bikes are different. Good luck my friend. 👍

      I don't know about you but I found after I completed my valve clearance my r nine t sounded a hell of a lot meaner. The engine was popping during d9wn shifting and just sounded amazing.

    • @gamotur
      @gamotur  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi. Every bike is different, riding style, temperature, city or highway all affect engine wear. First you need to measure the valve clearance and then calculate size of the new shim. You maybe off by 0.01mm, 0.05mm or 0,15mm or you maybe in the spec. Just remember that each small shim costs around $11.50 at the dealer, so measure two or three times to be sure. Thanks

      Please remember that each engine wears out in different ways. It is important that you measure the valve gap and calculate the proper shim thickness. Your engine may be within specification and no changes are needed.
      You will do me a great favor if you give me a thumbs up 👍

    How do you replace the inlet valve shims if necessary? The rocker arms for those are concealed. What method allows safe removal and replacement of those?

    • @gamotur
      @gamotur  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Intake valves are the same ,just from the other side. There is enough space to slide a ROCKER ARM SHAFT and remove a Rocker Arm.

      Compared that valve adjustment to a Ducati valve adjustment lol, night and day difference (you’ll literally need night and day to do it on a Ducati)
