I have a 2016 SHO, and Ford wants over &600 to change out PTU fluid. I look, and look, on TH-cam and can’t find a video for my year. They say there are heat sensors, and must drop converters. ??? I do have a drain, do you have any knowledge of the 16? Is it the same as your 15? Can it be done easier and cheaper? First Ford told me they really don’t want to do this, TOO MUCH WORK? Really?

Regarding your question, I only had my 15 for 6 mths and got rid of it because its what i do. I wasnt in service, I was the FI director, but what I would do is to call customer service with Ford 1-800-392-3673 and ask customer service what stores are in your area that are more comfortable with this type of car and tell them of your experience ( have your vin available)
I had a 2010 sho looked really close to this one. I loved the car but ones the turbos fails the motor is FUCKED. I was out so much money. Because I was told to just replace the turbo that failed, and well the second one failed 700 miles after the first so I fix it. Then it failed again and found metal in the filter screens to the turbos while fixing the rear turbo we looked at the front just in case, and it was bad as well. It’s a very bad design on Ford. But I do miss the car.
I owned an SEL a year before I got the sho. Sadly the SEL got wrecked when someone decided to run a stop sign but now that I have the SHO it feels like that was a blessing in disguise.
The Gearhead tune is it the Auto octane tune if so it may be that the fuel you are running has a bit higher octane level than 93 and the tune would add fuel and timing and make more power due to the better fuel quality!! Rather then the ajp tune having a unmovable base timing and fuel curve for the 93 octane fuel! Just a guess! I run the auto octane tune from gearhead and I get faster times at the track when I add octane booster to my fuel system because it changes the fuel and timing map with what the octane ratio sensor reads!

In theory this could be run all the way up to an E85 Tune yes? I've seen Livernois do an E85 on TH-cam recently for a 600hp build. Ford claims the block is good up to 800 horsepower.
Actually Brad at AJP uses a Auto octane tune as standard. I added meth 50/50 and without being tuned for it, I still added 30hp because his tune adjusts for octane. I may not be getting 100% benefit from meth. I did 3 pulls on a dyno, on 3rd pull I switched on the meth using a 250cc nozzle and the meth did its job, 30hp gain with no tuning for it, just letting the auto octane do it job. and the upside is if I have a failure with the meth kit, the car will adjust on its own. So not being meth dependent I run no risk of failure to the engine if meth fails. Car will just adjust timing on its own.
I have a 16 sho, I don't want to go crazy, just want to give it some zip. What would you recommend? I'm a little out of my depth with what to do on this car. Put me on my 16 platinum powerstroke and I could tell you right out the gate how to turn it into a horsepower monster. I'd appreciate the advice.

just display mode then al the way to the right, if it doesn’t look like that for u, u have to go all all the way back to settings and turn it on in display mode for the tach and temp

Yeah but the torque will assist it's weight. My modded Fusion Sport is around 3900lbs with me in it. It never loses traction since it's all wheel drive and the weight helps it stick. Torque a bit of weight and all wheel drive will pull on anything from a dig. That's why some trucks launch so hard
All you peeps building these, my stock SHO just had the "transfer case"replaced under warranty, It was mostly shrapnel inside, and this car is stock. Just sayin.
Ford serviced it last July. I guess I'm a little hard on her. Warranty covered it. They also replaced the lower control arm / ball joint, 4 wheel alignment, and replaced the back up camera. $ 500 deductible.
I use Amsoil in the ptu, change every 20,000 miles. I have the PP and use a pigtail on the overflow tube(vent) to refill easily. Maintenance is the key.

Which tune did you use for the 11.1 run? Maybe AJ had to run less timing or boost for the nitrous?
Same tune I daily on is the same tune I run 50 shot on. No timing adjustment.
