    The trouble is with most cheap Chinese LED is they are not very bright and they tend to leak and fail.I bought a pair of Tenshi indicators which cost a lot more but they are just not bright enough.Don't forget this is your safety you are dealing with.I just don't think other road users will see these lights in daylight.

      I understand your concern - but, as you can see at 08:10 in the video, the Kinsteck indicators are indeed quite bright. I've been using them for more than a year and a half now and several times I've been asked by other riders what indicators are these - as they are bright even under the Californian sun (I live in Southern California).

      @@muzzabike1417 I might get some and try them on the rear and if they are ok swap out my front ones as well.Can't really go wrong at the price!My only concern is there have been some reports of letting in rainwater in one or two reviews....obviously not so much of a problem in SoCal compared to North Western England!

      Totally understand. I will make a quick video on the sealing between the parts to evaluate the risk of water penetration. Give me two weeks for that, please - quite busy at work, but I will do it as soon as I can. You raised an interesting question!
      (Edited: I had forgotten to type the word "video" in the reply above.)

    Im wondering if you have changed the front indicators yet as it would be nice to have the same look front to rear and if you have did they fit if not what was the work around.
    Thanks for taking the time to amke the vid

    Maybe I have missed something but I haven't seen them work as DRL in your video. (only turn signals) They say in the description that they are supposed to work as DRL for the front ones I guess and Brake lights aswell for the rear ones. Is this correct?

    I bought a set for my Triumph Speed Triple.Bit disappointed with the brightness.But for £16 I can't complain.But after only 2 weeks I noticed the front right one hanging loose on the wires.The threaded bit had separated from the rubber....and I know I haven't knocked it or overtightened it.

      UPDATE!I I have fixed it.The threaded bit just screwed back in.

    Hi Muzza ,, saw your post and invested in a set.. Rears are on and look great . Did you get the fronts done as when I checked there is not enough room to tighten the rear nut as it's too large .. how did you do yours ?? Cheers

      Hi bully8711, I'm glad that the video was helpful - I'm happy with mine too! I did not install the front ones yet, and when I looked at the nut I had the same impression - they look large, and I'm not sure whether they will fit in the housing. The good thing is that the nuts are pretty standard (diameter and pitch) so you can replace them by smaller ones. Another possibility would be to use adhesive. Note that I would not recommend that (maybe that's the mechanical engineering in me, I'm not a chemical engineer :-) ), but I know people who have done that. If I'm not mistaken Alberto from Albe's ADV (check his channel on TH-cam, it's pretty good) has done that on his Tuono. Cheers!

    I am trying to install same lights on my 2004 kawasaki vulcan 500. The problem is, when I turn the signal lights on, all the lights flash at the same time.
    I thought that would be the relay so I just installed a new LED flasher relay. No difference. Do you know what I am doing wrong? Thank you very much.

    Hi ,, No code errors after instalment ??? some youtuber said cutting the OEM cable u could end with it.. What kind of miles/kms are u getting out of a full tank best and worst {when the fuel comes on} cheers

    • @muzzabike1417
      @muzzabike1417  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      REPSOL CBR Hi! No error codes, at all. There’s no reason why an error code would be generated from cutting - or even replacing completely - the cables for the rear indicators, rear light and license light. Also, as asked by Garey Cooper below, there’s no need to install a resistor for these indicators.
      Typically I get 200-210 kilometers (125-130 miles) of range for each fuel load before the (yellow) warning light comes out. One can extend that a bit - but not by much - by being lighter on the throttle. Note that I have an original exhaust - other exhausts, even Akrapovic - do increase fuel consumption.
      Cheers!

      @@muzzabike1417 thanks heaps for the reply,, so maybe other bands may need resistor like ( rizoma) any idea ???

    • @muzzabike1417
      @muzzabike1417  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@repsolcbr2543 My apologies, I had not seen your last message! I believe the Rizoma indicators need resistors as they are "universal" - i.e., they can be installed in any motorcycle. The post-2016, latest generation of the Aprilia Tuono and RSV4 models don't use relays to "activate" (turn on and off) the indicators, so there's no need for resistors. Other motorcycles may use relays for this function, so resistors are needed.

    Thanks for a very informative video, I am very interested in these lights and I would like to know if your lights have the "CE" homologation marking on them? I will need that to get my bike inspected in Europe. Thank you again!

    • @muzzabike1417
      @muzzabike1417  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Joel, thanks for your comment. The Kinstecks box has a label which has the CE logo on it, but the manual does not - nor makes any reference to CE homologation. Also, the product does not have the CE marking anywhere on it. Therefore I'm leaning towards concluding that the Kinstecks indicators are not CE certified. The fact that the label on the box has the CE logo doesn't mean much as, unfortuantely, many companies simply display it on products which are not certified.
      To be sure I suggest you ask this question firstly to Kinstecks, that can be reached at kinstecks@hotmail.com.
      Ride safe and take care!

    Hi from the uk
    Are they bright enough in the day and are they waterproof buddy ?

    • @muzzabike1417
      @muzzabike1417  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, they are bright enough to be visible in day use (and note that I installed panniers on my Tuono, as per the video Hepco & Becker C-Bow System: Description & Installation) and they seem to have good, waterproof construction. The joint between the pack and the lens is good. Keep in mind that I live in Southern California, where rain is scarce, so I haven't exposed the Tuono to much rain, but I wash it myself, including the blinkers, ad saw no sign of water intake.
      (Pardon me for not replying more promptly, I've been pretty busy with work lately.)
