Awesome videos. Love the Vision you have compared to almost all other D2 users. Great explanations that have helped me a lot. I can't wait to get back to a couple of very difficult sites where there was so much in the ground I literally didn't find anything. They are Colonial sites and that old iron is hard to reject. Do you think I'd be better starting in the FAST program with pitch audio or switch it to full tones and discriminate way up? I was running an air test on some of the old iron that I saved and in full tones I literally had the discrimination at 99. I could eliminate even the high blips that the old iron gives. At discrimination 50 I could still hear High blips. When I put a button or coin in between the iron I could still hear the tonal sounds even though it was rejected. Very eye-opening experience. Thanks Jeremy, I didn’t know which standard program/s used full tones, I had to look it up and only Sensi FT uses full tones. I’m now keen to get and try changing the settings to see how it goes.
Jeremy, your vco program . I can tell when I get a penny , quarter , or a dime before even digging it in pitch mode with the filter at 5. If you go down past 2-3 you can’t hear the difference from a pull tab or foil . That filter does something magical to the clad. I wish it would make that tone with lower conductors but it doesn’t .
Those coins do have that certain tone when the audio filter is at 5. The lower conductive targets have that partly discriminated grunty tone. You can tell the bottlecap tone too, they have a strong iron tone and clipped audio.

@@PaystreakSuperfreakjust baffles me why those coins have there “ I call it the siren tone “. But any other conductor doesn’t. It’s like it almost knows it’s a perfect circle or size. I been testing most of the day. I got a swimming area I’m going to tomorrow with a nice tight turf. I’m going to try going deeper on it than just surface finds . Bringing the legend with me and going about knee high in the water to try that also lol

Have you ever found something small and made of nickel with the deus 1? Today I dug a nickel composition dime, and it sounded scratchy and lousey I looked over some videos I made in January with the deus hot program with Canadian coins, and the dime and nickel sounded bad, but the quarter sounded good So I figure small nickel just sounds bad on the deus, with the legend they sound good
I have said in many videos that the nickels sound very junky on the Deus 1. Even the US 90% copper nickels sound junky on the Deus 1. Other coins sound great on the Deus 1.
When they are able to make a detector that can differentiate between pulltabs/foil and gold, that will be a massive game changer. Until then, if you pass up foil...you pass up gold. If you pass up pulltabs...you pass up gold. I stand by the laws of averages. I will dig every pulltab. I disc out small foil. Fortunately the gold you may pass by in the foil range is going to be light/small. Not so much with the pulltab range. I also will dig occasional discriminated tones that are very prominent or unusual.
Harbor Freight Western Safety brand #66124 is what lasts the longest for me. I have bought many expensive brands and the expensive ones are a waste of money, The cheapest($11.99) is more comfortable and much much more durable than $40 kneepads. I usually go through a pair every year, but I detect every day.

I just wish I had the ears to hear the tones as you do. It’s a learning experience that I need to continue working on.

Is the offset only on the update?
I’m still running 71
v.71 does not have the offset or the audio filter. The newer versions also have the high square audio which is frikn amazing!!
