Now we are talking about the Deus2, I like that, bought that Deus2 because of you, you sold me on it. I love that machine, I dig dirt and lakes and always lost when I go on vacation to Florida, so this helps greatly. But that's the top machine in my book, a lot of gold for a cherry picker. Excalibur, Equinox, past user. But the Deus2 is now my top machine. Deus2 made a mistake they didn't hire you as the ambassador of the Deus2. Nothing against Merrel. Great show, I am glad you are back to metal detecting but still like the wildlife videos. Thanks for all that you do!
I’ve had my Deus ii a couple of weeks and your videos on learning the Deus ii have helped a lot. I’ve tried this program this morning, ran great. Tracking GB was a difference maker on my beach. Saw another commenter say XP should have used you for an ambassador, I second that with all respect to Merrill. Appreciate all the work you put into your channel.
Excellent instruction and not just some “voodoo” program with a catchy name. Very much how I adjust it here in central Florida east coast. I have them saved as “Beach Wet”, “Beach Dry”, etc and switch back and forth with a press of the button. Actually on the dry sand, I can often run with 0 reactivity and salt sens 9 and it doesn’t start to chatter much until I head down to the wet sand. I use the XY screen especially in dry sand because it shows flat , thin foil as a horizontal line even though it may be a good non-ferrous number and sound. (Dig less foil) Try it out and see. Thanks.
Thank you so much for this I watched your other video recently on the basic settings for the Deus, and was wondering if those would transfer over to hunting on the beach. This video came at a perfect time, and answered all my questions. Still learning the Deus, it's a great machine
I'll be heading to the Gulf Coast this weekend after this storm passes up the coast. I'll try out the recommendations on the program adjustments. Also, I'll try using the 11-inch coil. 🕶👍
Kudos Cal, concise and accurate. I have had my Deus II for a couple years, and I’ve gravitated to the same settings you have for beach use, unless I run into lots of iron. I do have bottle caps on 1 (just helps me distinguish them a little bit better), and run my sensitivity at 95, which as you know will vary from beach to beach. Your settings i.e. program is great starter program for any beach on the east coast. I would like to know what wireless headphones you’ve been working with, I haven’t experimented with them yet. TIA
@@calabashdiggeradventures Same here. I thought you may have uncovered a blutooth solution since I didn’t see your headphones. At the ocean, you just have to cover your ears from the background noise. I have some aftermarket waterproof Aqua Tek headphones which are great, but Frank stopped making them (*last I heard).
Hey CBD, this is a timely video. I still can’t get a really great beach experience. I only go on occasion a couple times a year so really hard to master. Plan on going a week this fall or winter so will try to use this then on OBX beaches.
Thanks for all your videos calabash they're very helpful, I have been using your settings for my deus 1 for long long time but i have a question, i own deus 1 and other metal detectors machines but looking for a new up grade, which do you recommend for beach hunting deus 2 or manticore, i need something that goes really deep and stronger in any aspect, thanks in advance.
@calabashdiggeradventures You're absolutely the best metal detectorist out there, thanks again for everything! You've got the skills and the finds to prove it!"
Calabash which Audio type do you prefer Also no cable connected for diving program ?? Pitch program threshold I prefer 10 and up the HZ to 502 hz Interesting your views on beach settings Cheers from Aus
Hey Calabash. Thanks for doing these videos. Aloha from Honolulu. I recently updated my Deus 2 firmware. There’s now something called “Beach P” that’s the new and improved “Beach Sensitive”
Your a week too late. Needed this last week while I was in Gulf Shores. Could you do one similar to this for dry land, old farm hunting. I'm in Illinois
You lost me at "pitch" 😀 I have a full tones mod of Beach Sens that works well for me when I'm on jewellery recovery missions. For relic hunting on the beach I use a 5 tones PWM mod of Diving. I can run 96 sensitivity, 0 Reactivity, Salt Sens 9. It's a beast on very deep high conductors. Diving is "Deep HC" for the beach. I had a cracking 300 year old shoe buckle with it a few days ago
which audio response do you use? I only use beach sens in the water here in Spain. nice and sensitive and don't miss anything 😁. love my deus 2 ❤️. use the wsa2xl and carry the remote on my shoulder. perfect setup! With the WSA2XL you can hear everything so much better. and the machine is super light in the water without a remote. always use the 9 inch coil. can search all day without getting tired. I also think beach sens is great for separation! thanks for this video! I really appreciate that you always give your honest opinion about all products. there are very few who do that. thanks amigo!🍀 keep it up💪🏻
This is what you call a Master Class. Well done, sir.
Thanks!

Great job!
Calabash,
Thank you once again for another informative video, and thank you for taking the time to do this.
My pleasure!
Very informative video, maybe one of the best I’ve seen on beach detecting with the Deus 2. I’m subscribing now cause you know your stuff.
Thanks, appreciate it!
Mentor of Multi Frequency Detection.. .. Thanks again for yet another informative lesson ⭐🇱🇷
Always welcome

You bet!
Nice demo and video. Well done!
Thank you very much!
Thanks for information and demonstration.

cool deal!

Just been using the Deus II wireless full headphones. Water proof too..

I use them for hunting but did not for the video...
Nice job explaining
Thanks!

Dive trip next three days!! Let's go.........
good luck!

Deus II will fit you well because you already know the Deus platform...

Calabash could this program can be use for small gold chains or any size gold chains, and it can go deeper?
Does the magnetic reject / accept effect depth much ?
No not on this Beach ..I keep it on...
I’m guessing Beach sensitive is too high frequency for going in the water?
yes
Calabash which Audio type do you prefer

must have cable for water. PWM but the others are good too .I dive so its locked in square underwater...

Beach P is just a different tone selection.
Your a week too late. Needed this last week while I was in Gulf Shores. Could you do one similar to this for dry land, old farm hunting. I'm in Illinois
Check out my Deus II bootcamp video it is exactly what your asking for...

I always focus on gold when Beach hunting here as it a tourist destination.
Calabash, what's the bird of prey at 12.21 please?
Osprey..
@@calabashdiggeradventures thank you. You're lucky to have them there
Running salt sensitivity at 1 allows reactivity 0, use audio filters accordingly. Betcha it's deeper
Will be less sensitive and miss small gold.. Might be deeper on a quarter...
@@calabashdiggeradventures run a test...
