I am from Curacao, fiercely protective of my island and... I enjoyed watching your video! The thing is Curacaoans and Arubans are brothers/sisters and we love going to each others island. We also love befriending and/or marrying the other. Indeed we might be different in certain aspects, but variety is the spice of life. Regarding the beaches, Aruba's southside is one long beautiful beach indeed. You can be just driving along and just park your car and go swimming. While Curacao has more than 40 beaches, secluded bays, all over the island. So when you go to the beach in Curacao, you really GO. Driving thru all kinds of landscapes and bamm...suddenly an open space with a beautiful secluded bay. I was born here and this allways still impacts me. Unfortunately several previous governments, with a view to attracting investors, leased out the land bordering certain beaches. This means that if you decide to go to one such beach, like the highly developed Mambo beach, you will pay an entrance fee, meant for the upkeep of that beautiful place. If you want to go to the beach every day, and still want to be near Mambo, just a 10 minute walk to the West of Mambo you have the Pier beach. Same beautiful water and free and you meet very friendly locals of all races and colours. You can take your own food and drinks or buy at a local fish restaurant there. Our language Papiamentu is based on: Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, English, African, some French and Native Indigenous (who Columbus wrongly called Indians) words. It originates from colonial times when the Spanish, English, Dutch, Africans and Native Indigenous peoples were trying to communicate with each other. To me the most beautiful living language ever. It is also taught in several American and European universities. As a Curacaoan I love to hear Arubans speak Papiamentu, (Arubans write and pronounce it as Papiamento) because to me it sounds as if they are singing it. My Aruban friends and family say the same to me. But of course as a Curacaoan...I am allways right! (LOL) The way to write in Papiamentu differs on both islands. Aruba follows the etymological way. Meaning they look at the original word and derives the Aruban word from that. For example: a house in Aruban Papiamentu is: un cas. Because cas derives from casa (house in Spanish, Portuguese). In Curacao we follow the Fonological way. Meaning you write what you hear. So a house in Curacao is written as: un kas. You hear a "k", so you write a "k". When speaking, you sometimes hear some differences however in general the spoken word sounds quite the same. Our other sister island Bonaire also speaks Papiamentu in yet a more singing way in my view. Lastly, using the word Dushi (sweet, sweetness, darling, honey, baby, honeybunch, etc.) shows the difference in culture between our region and American cities or places indeed. We express our feelings, with the other without the other feeling stalked or attacked. It is just how one is brought up. We love loving ourselves and loving others, without any negativesness behind it. We (Arubans and Curacaoans) just love enjoying life, no matter what!
@Kenn Vern you should have a blog! You could teach others about the islands. Great to read what you wrote and we thank you for contributing in a positive way. ;) Feel free to click LIKE on this vid and Share it to your Facebook because that will help promote the islands to others. ;)
Sorry but 40 years ago that was different. The Arubans did not want nothing to do with the Curacaolinez. Learn your History. Why did you think that Aruba wanted there Status Aparte? It wil be better if a much older person would make a vlog of the two Islands, and how it really went. The young generations that make there vlogs about the Islands don't know nothing.
True, its not a competition. But all family members have differences. We just share what those differences are for people who have never travelled to these 2 islands. 😇 Please click LIKE and Share the video on your Facebook page! Thanks for writing your comment! It was nice to read. This video is about the differences. And the charge for some of the beaches in Curacao IS a difference from Aruba. 😏 Did you see our Curacao island video? It's only about Curacao. We talk about the beaches there. Have a watch, let us know what you think. We lived in CURACAO for 6 months th-cam.com/video/l2aAz6u_uAQ/w-d-xo.html Thanks for subscribing to our channel if you did Damaris!
@@PlanFree It also depends when you go. I go around 17:00 when it's free 🙂 Before 17:00 you have to pay. My favourite beach is Playa Kenepa. It's free. There are lots of beaches around there where you don't have to pay at all.
@@maronbunita84 Exactly. While the video is about the differences between the islands, it came across as if in Curacao you have to pay for the beaches and in Aruba you do not. That is only the case if you visit some of the developed and tourist beaches. The majority and most beautiful natural beaches are free. I just think that should be clear.
Hi guys nice video! I am from Curaçao and i love it.. you guys did a great job by making this video. However, i must say that this is a tricky and sensitive subject to talk about because Aruba forever taught that they are better than us and we from Curaçao also think that we are better than them. You can see it as a long time feud. In my opinion its just better not to compare the islands, and just enjoy them both. But with that said thank you for visiting!💙💛🤍 Ps; at mambo they dont own the beach, but they own everything on the beach. But, just so you know our locals do not appreciate that either but the government doesnt do anything about that..
Awesome! How long will you get to stay? Enjoy your time! There are lots of positive people here that you can now connect with! And, did you see the video we made of Curacao alone? Just that island? Thanks for commenting!
Hi I am from Aruba.. I dis agree with the op of this thread.. I have nvr enocountered anyone from my island thinking they are 'better' nor vice versa 🤷♂️
It’s not fair if you only compare mambo beach for Curaçao. I live there for 5 months now and the absolute best thing is the beaches all around. You can easily snorkel without a big swim out and have awesome sunsets, nobody will make you pay...
Hi @alex pool! In this case (video) we are comparing the "resort" type beaches on Curacao and Aruba. Mambo was named as an example of this type of beach on Curacao. The comparison is that the "resort" type beaches often expect payment on Curacao, and on Aruba they do not. Yes, you are right Curacao has many beautiful less crowded beaches for those willing to drive. But so does Aruba. This video describes the differences between the two islands, not the the things that are the same. We mention some specific, less crowded Curacao beaches in our dedicated Curacao video here; th-cam.com/video/l2aAz6u_uAQ/w-d-xo.html We made a dedicated Curacao beaches video here: th-cam.com/video/QBz3dM1jwUQ/w-d-xo.html We also illustrate some less crowded Aruba beaches in this video; th-cam.com/video/rgIK-dzHNOs/w-d-xo.html Thank you for watching and for commenting. Cheers!
Hi @Christine Anthony! In our opinion and by the look of it and it's set up: Mambo is indeed more of a resort type beach than it is a natural beach. Especially with the ....resort beach that adjoins it on the one side....😉 We went almost every day because of the proximity to our apartment. And with chairs set up right to the edge of the water and servers.... Just our perspective. But nice to read all your comments! 😇
Yes all.are different for sure. We made a video JUST on Curacao alone, in case you haven't seen it. We talk quite a bit about the various beaches on Curacao in that video. Check it out! We mention some specific, less crowded Curacao beaches in our dedicated Curacao video here; th-cam.com/video/l2aAz6u_uAQ/w-d-xo.html THIS video was our experience with the DIFFERENCES between Aruba and Curacao. And, what WE found living in both countries was that overall, there were more beaches in Curacao that had a fee, development and amenities on them and Aruba had more extensive, open and free beaches. That's what we found. Awesome that you've taken the time to write though, we love that! Thank you!
@@ariela78 exactly our point. You said it yourself: "Aruba and Curaçao are totally different... " That is what we say in our video and what other travelers should know. :) Every single beach in Aruba is FREE and anyone can sit, lay a towel down, and enjoy. In Curacao we found more that asked us to pay to sit, and to just lay a towel down.
You are correct about the differences between the way Papiamento is spoken on both islands. The stress on the vowels are slightly different. Some words may be specific to each islands, but in general we understand each other perfectly. Main differences are Curacao and Bonaire follow a phonology based spelling and Aruba etymology spelling. Identical words ending with "o" on Aruba would end with "u" on Curacao. For example the local word for hill is "Sero" on Aruba, on Curacao the spelling would be " Seru". Great video! I am from Aruba and I always enjoy an outsider's perspective of our islands ❤.

Bon dia Guys, I am from Aruba, enjoyed the video and indeed the Papiamento language are different between the islands, but still is our dushi Papiamento. It is a creole language that obtained most of its vocabulary from Spanish and Portuguese, but also has some words of Dutch origin and English, along with a number of words from Arawak Indian and African languages.
Bon dia! So so interesting! Thank you for writing this great comment. Love the mix of all the country influences that make up Papiamento/u! Awesome comment Sjors! Aruba really does have a great vibe and feel. We 100% felt safe in all areas there. That's the beauty of being a small island, right!? It's great to hear how much you love Aruba and thank you for your comment!

Yamanota is the tallest hill in Aruba not Hooiberg. The economy in Curaçao is more diverse, Aruba’s economy is 90 percent tourism dependent. Yet Aruba seems more prosperous and well maintained than Curaçao. Curaçao’s capital Willemstad is far more historical and interesting than the capital Oranjestad in Aruba. Nevertheless both are nice towns. People overall in Aruba are nicer, chill, open to know you. Aruba’s infrastructure is better organised and easy to manoeuvre around than Curaçao. Curaçao has richer nature than Aruba, the ground in Curaçao is more fertile. Aruba is a submerged island from coral stone and less fertile. I feel Aruba is much cleaner. I love both islands. Would definitely go to both you can not go wrong with either.
Thank you for your video about the islands. To bad about your experience about the beach in Curacao. We have enough natural beaches that are free of charge. Now it’s going to look like that all Curacao is about. I think you prefer Aruba and that reflects in your video. Thanks for sharing your experience! :)
Yes, from our experience, in the full 6 month period we lived in each country, the beaches in Aruba were easier to get to and more easily accessible. That is based on where we went in both countries. Wish we would have met YOU in Curacao to show us more of the free, close beaches to go to! We'll look you up if we are ever travelling to Curacao in the future! You can be the guide! Did you see our most recent video JUST on Curacao island?
I cant decide. I love them both. The first time i went to Curacao i went ro Willemstad and was completeltly in love with the bridge when it lights up at night and the Dushi and Curacao sign. The second time i went toJan Thiel. I've also been to Aruba twice, i love the island the locals and how warm and inviting they are. Aruba is more touristy. Next is Bonaire! The one thing i love is the sound of Papiamiento as well as the mosh posh of other languages.
We understand where you're coming from! Both islands are beautiful and offer different things. Aruba is kind of intimate and easier to get to know because it's so small you can drive around within a few weeks and really discover all the areas. Where as Curacao is so much larger and had many more beaches and communities to explore, it would take a person several months to really get to know all it's areas. We enjoyed our time living on both islands for 6 months each and we hope you get to return one day soon too. Thank you so much for watching! We appreciate your comment! Great video! As a former missionary to Aruba from USA, I have to say that it was a real pleasure getting to know the local people, the Papiamento language, the culture, customs, and lifestyle. Aruba was my home for many years, as I was a permanent resident there. I can definitely verify about the differences between Papiamento and Papiamentu. While living on Aruba I had the opportunity to study Papiamento in detail in evening courses with native speakers. I also immersed myself into the language and frequently spoke it with the local people during my many years there. In addition to living on Aruba I visited Curacao and found it to be another beautiful island with warm and friendly people.
Good for you for taking the time to immerse yourself in Aruba's local language, that's super! Do you recall much of it now (if you lived in Aruba many years ago?)? Thanks so much for watching our video and for the positive comment, we appreciate it! WHat impressed us most about Curacao was the shear NUMBER of beaches available....around 30 separate beaches! Incredible for a smaller island. These were our favorites: th-cam.com/video/QBz3dM1jwUQ/w-d-xo.html God Bless you and we hope you had a very Merry Christmas!
@@PlanFree Yes) I actually do recall much of the local language. I have a lot of friends there and also I watch television from Aruba on the internet. @@hottrader4262 yes we did have a merry Christmas! Thank you so much. You're very clever to search out Aruba television programs online to keep up with the island, the goings-on as well as the language. Good for you!
Curaçao is better for me because, wherever I am, I’m always curious to interact with the locals and get to know the vibe. In Curacao, you’ve got nothing to worry about. The locals are kind, friendly and always helpful. I come back next year 2022

Hi there, Curaçao born and raised citizen here! Loved the video I agree with most of the points mentioned in the video. I must say, with the beaches if you ever visit again, try to visit the free beaches as they are much more relaxing. Most of us who live here are not a fan of the beaches that we have to pay for almost everything either. Thank you for visiting, hope to see you again ;).
Hi @Eda! Yes this video talked about the differences between the 2 islands. Curacao had some pay beaches and Aruba did not. Anywhere (that we found). heyo! I'm a student from Aruba and I can definitely confirm that Papiamento from Aruba and Papiamento from Curaçao are different. The dialects of Papiamento have a different vocabulary and words are also spelled very differently (an example could be that most words that have a C in Aruban Papiamento have a K in Curaçaoan, such as Cas [house] vs Kas). And also, about the word dushi; yes it does mean sweet or sweetheart, but be careful because it can be used as catcalling lol (like telling someone "bo ta mustra dushi" basically means "you look hot/delicious" or calling someone like "ey dushi" [hey sweetie] is also catcalling. depends on the context ofc!!). You can ask anything else you'd like lol Thank you very much for making this video, highlighting these small islands is always big for us :)

I enjoyed the video, I love both islands. On the Curacao beaches: it came across as if paying to go to the beach is the norm compared to Aruba, whereas that would only be applicable to some of the popular tourist beaches near Willemstad. There is even a beach right in the city that is free. The majority and most beautiful beaches in Curacao are free and located on the West side of the island and these are also not developed.

Hello, I am from Aruba. Yes, indeed the difference between the two islands is that Curacao got many advantages over us, especially in the economy, aided massively by the Netherlands as it served as the capital city of the Netherlands Antilles, compared to us, we were more of a rural island until we got a separated autonomy. The people are quite happy to meet people so diverse especially when we see English people, Portuguese and most luck is French, we'd love to ask them sometimes how is their country, instead, we just smile haha!
Hello and thanks for your great comment! Yes, Aruba as a historically more rural island is probably what lends to its calm and peaceful environment now. And generally, travellers look for that since they are mostly vacationing (1-4weeks). We are in a unique situation because we live abroad 6 months of the year (in normal years!) and so we look for relaxing, interested environments as well as enough things to do/see/explore and live life (gym? Immigration office?) etc. Curacao probably hold the interested of a foreigner for longer, but Aruba captures the heart! Thank you, if you have already, for subscribing! It really helps us grow. 👍😘
You can not compaire the 2 Island. Our culture is diffent. Aruba is more Americanised and Curaçao is Dutch. The language is not a dialect. It is proclaimed by the United Nation as a language. It sounds differed and written differend. But we understand each other🤣 Greetings from the pearl of the Caribbean ARUBA 🏝
Thank you for watching and commenting! What did you like about the video? Yes, we can compare the 2 islands, and we did. You did too, when you said one is more American and one is more Dutch (which is a good point by the way, thanks for adding it). That is the point of the video; to describe the differences between Aruba and Curacao based on our observations. This video was not made as a competition between the 2 islands and its' residents, but rather it was made for potential visitors who have never been before. You see, it was made as a promotion for both islands ; ) to encourage people to visit these beautiful places, and assist those that are trying to choose one or the other for their next vacation.👋🙏
I wouldn’t say the language differences between the islands are considered a dialect, but more like differences in accents and such. So for example the differences in English you hear across the States, such as Florida vs Texas or the US vs England. All in all, it is the same language that’s being spoken on Aruba, Bonaire & Curaçao and we all understand each other:) Amazing vid! Greetings!
I am half Dutch and half Aruban. I left Aruba in 1978 at the age of 16. Aruba and Curaçao have never actually been sister Islands. Why do you think that Aruba wanted Status Apart? BTW Aruba is not one Happy Island and neighter Curaçao. The Local people are suffering everyday. The Arubans are complaining how Aruba has become. Our Beautiful Island has gone to the dogs just for the benefits for the Tourist, and you know that just aswell as me.
Hi. Thanks for taking the time to make this great video and sharing this video. About the beaches I would like to add something. To almost all natural beaches in Curacao you can go for free such as for example Caracasbaai, Directeursbaai, Maripanpoen and almost all the beaches in the West (Daaibooi, West Punt, playa Piscado, Playa Kalki, Knip etc)with some exceptions. Especially the developed beaches in the south east part(so not the natural beaches) such as Mambo that you mentioned you have to pay.
Hi Melanie, well thank you so much for saying you loved our video we really appreciate hearing that and we thank you very much for watching and for leaving us this awesome comment! We actually made it a dedicated Curacao beaches video (if you search our channel) or, here it is for you: th-cam.com/video/QBz3dM1jwUQ/w-d-xo.html 😘 We just simply mentioned the fact that there was "Mambo" Beach and other paid beaches in Curacao because Aruba doesn't have ANY paid beaches. So we mention that as being one of the differences between the two islands. 😉
Oh that's interesting that you mentioned Jamanota! We actually mentioned it in our first recording and then decided to cut it out and just talk about Hooiberg. That's funny! You are indeed right! Yes, agreed a paradise! Maybe keep this a secret from the Arubans but, are the women maybe more beautiful on Curacao than Aruba? : ) Who else thinks so? Thank you for watching and commenting! What did you like about the video?
Nice video cakers! LOL...Torontonian living on Curacao for five years. There are different dialects depending on which parts of both islands you visit. Westpunt people for example are very distinctive from those from the rest of Curacao. Hope you come back to live here. We need more Canadians!
Hey @Hossein Zahedi oh gosh thanks so much and glad you like the vid! This was our comparison video...have you seen our 2 dedicated Curacao videos? Here one of them: th-cam.com/video/l2aAz6u_uAQ/w-d-xo.html Super cool about the Westpunt dialect! And super sweet of you to want more Canadians in Curacao!! How come? ....what's "cakers"!?!? Lol
I live in the US and Curacao. Purchased a home in Curacao in 2012. Simply put, Aruba is much more Americanized. Large hotels with expansive beaches. Curacao is not only a much larger island as you pointed out but with a lot more people. Take any market with more people you will have more traffic. However, you probably lived downtown and that is where the majority of the population and traffic are. On the West end, not like this at all. As for the beaches, your video paints that all beaches in Curacao are pay beaches and they are not $10-12 either. With over 38 different beaches the difference is not really about paying but the type of beaches. Expansive wide beaches are Aruba. Uniquely different cove like beaches in Curacao offer busy fun areas like Mambo or the many secluded and private beaches on the West end of the island. Both islands are outstanding and with a short flight we get to enjoy what all three offer, (including Bonaire).
Thanks for writing your comment! It was nice to read. This video is about the differences. And the charge for some of the beaches in Curacao IS a difference from Aruba. 😏 Did you see our Curacao island video? It's only about Curacao. Have a watch, let us know what you think. We lived in CURACAO for 6 months th-cam.com/video/l2aAz6u_uAQ/w-d-xo.html We also just produced a list of our 5 favorite beaches in Curacao, in our ongoing effort to promote the island; th-cam.com/video/QBz3dM1jwUQ/w-d-xo.html If you would like to help promote your islands through this video, press the like button on the videos and TH-cam will share them with more people!🙏👋 Thank you for watching and commenting! Yes,you are right. We have different ways of pronounces certain words. Aswel as spelling of certain words. The accent aswel. One thing is common on both islands is we all use the word/expression;dushi and danki among other words which is dushi (sweet) and danki (thank you) dushi can be used as a form of endearment or to indicate taste-food for example or as a more romantic or sexual overtone depending on the situation (persons intensions). Hope you guys will enjoy your vacation here and all your viewers are; 'bon bini' which means; welcome. 👍🏾
@Estario Martis thank you for your welcoming attitude! Which island are you from? Thank you, if you did, for subscribing, clicking LIKE and sharing our video to your Facebook so others can learn about the islands!
Bondia from Curacao 🇨🇼!! Nice video!! curacao, bonaire and aruba are like families, the language on each island is slightly different dialects but we can understand them all perfectly, sometimes we make jokes about the accent just for fun. The dushi part ... didn’t you guys find any dushi food ? Hmm e kuminda ta dushi, it’s a dushi beach, if a stranger calls you dushi it’s not like flirting or anything the way to throw punches, but if ther do it in a more flirtatious way the “way it said “ is different.
Thank you for the comparison video. My husband and myself are moving to Aruba this year, my husband works for the federal government. We are looking forward to it
Anticipation of moving to Aruba must be very exciting for you and your husband!? I think that would be exciting for us, if we were in that scenario. You and your husband must have spent time in Aruba before? Thank you for watching and adding a comment! 👋🙏 What did you like about the video?
Correction the highest point of Aruba is Jamanota not Hooiberg. Jamanota which is located in the national park (national park Arikok) is a height of 188m (617 ft). hooiberg which is located almost in the center of the island has a hight of 165m which makes it the second highest point of Aruba, the reason why hooiberg is more known is because at the top u will get a 360 view of the island and because of its location u can see hooiberg anywhere u are on the island. Just something that people should know when they come and visit the island. Hoped u enjoyed your stay on your beautiful one happy island and hope to seeing u soon back on the island🏝 Masha Danki = thank u very much 🇦🇼💙💛❤️🇦🇼
Yes the highest point is Jamanota. But we mentioned the highest ACCESSIBLE point as being Hooiberg. We believe that is correct, no? Thanks for sharing the info though, people will be interested to learn what you wrote. :) We appreciate you taking the time to write that all out in a nice read. 👍
Arikok hill is second highest point 🤷🏻♂️. Hooiberg is third. All three of them are accessible for hiking. But the two highest points are in the National park, which a little fee has to be paid. Hopefully this helped
Actually Hoorberg is no 4. Seroe Cabay (translated horse hill) is no 3. The top of Jamanota is accessible as well, just like Arikok hill and Seroe Cabay. Great video!
Thanks so much! We appreciate you saying so. We didn't do enough hiking in Aruba apparently! Lol Are you from Aruba? Thank you for watching and we appreciate the comment!
It's so interesting to see how the two countries compare! I haven't been to Aruba, but I visited Curaçao recently and had a great time! I actually just posted a video on my channel from my trip. I loved it!
Hi, as many mentioned before we are sister islands (including Bonaire) and do not compete. First of all, Papiamento is not a dialect and is a language same as English and we speak a minimum of 4 different languages on both islands. Secondly, there are many differences in culture and history that makes the islands and their people different but to sum up. If you want to relax by laying on the beach and have everything around you? Then Aruba is for you. If you want to experience nature and go on an adventure, then you choose Curaçao. So it all depends on what you want to do for a vacation. They are both my home and love them both. But I do different things when I am on each.
@Louvie vW This particular video is about how the islands differ. Not competing. There is no "winner" or non winner, lol. Many many people have not had the chance to visit these islands and are interested to know what each is like. We made this video, as we have replied many times already also, to help people know what the differences are. To help either plan their vacation or, like us, to move there for a short time to learn, see and experience the area. ;) Both are great! But they do differ. Just like all of us, we can all be great but we do differ. 😁 Thanks for watching, subscribing (if you did), clicking LIKE and sharing this vid to your Facebook page. We want to help promote both islands! 🌅🙏

Hi, Aruban here. Awesome video guys. Just a few things you should know about our language, it is a melting pot of many languages, this is because throughout history Aruba has had many settlers and the word “Danki” is not Dutch it is actually from Africa. We use words borrowed from many languages such as Dutch, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and so many more. And the word “dushi” (pronounced, “ doo-shi”) is one you might want to be mindful of the context you use it in. For example the way you used it in this video translates to a cat call if you are speaking to a stranger or basically anyone you are not in a relationship with 😅 If we think someone is sweet or nice, we use “lief” which is a actually a Dutch world. Keep it up guys, hope you continue to enjoy our Island and sister Island 😁
Thank you for watching and commenting! Thank you for adding your perspective on the language and pronunciation differences, it's interesting. The danki dushi bit was meant to be amusing/funny. Maybe we're just not that funny ; ) as most of the viewers didn't get the joke. Maybe Aruba/Curacao lack a sense of humor? Nah!? Yes, of course we know the pronunciation after living on the islands for 12 months. We purposely adjusted the pronunciation to fit the joke, if you get what I mean ; ) What did you like about the video?
Papiamentu was created in Curaçao, so when you say things like; _"It is a melting pot of many languages, because throughout history Aruba has had many settlers"_ It just doesn't make sense at all. Yes, Aruba has had many settlers over the years, but the reasons why Papiamentu is a melting pot in the first place, is because they settled in CURAÇAO.
Our pleasure! We were blessed to be able to live in both places and really enjoyed talking about how they were the same and how the differed. We thought others might like to know, if they haven't been. ;) Thanks so much for taking the time to write your comment! That is the best! Thank you also, if you did, for subscribing, clicking LIKE and sharing his vid to your Facebook page! 🙏 That will help promote the islands more. :)
The word "dushi" has several meaning: when calling someone 'hey, dushi' = sweethaert. Expressing the words to things 'e bolo aki ta hopi dushi' = this cake is very sweet or to express oneself 'e fiesta aki ta hopi dushi' = I love this party, etc. The Antillen were colonized first by Spain then by England ans last by the Nederland. All these countries exported and exploited the natural habitants and imported several kind of slaves from around the world. The language is mostly part of a mixed 'broken' language that formed during the first 300 years (estimated) and now a days is a language of it's own. Aruba, Bonaire & Curaçao speaks this, sounds the same but ain't the same. Aruba's Papiamento has spelling & grammer, Curaçao's Papiamento is written phonetically and Bonaire is somewhere in between. It is like conparing American English, with British English and Australian English
@@esmeraldaromero2619 Yes! What a great job of explaining the languages and we loved reading your educational and historical recount of the variations in languages/dialects/slangs between the 3 islands. You made it interesting, captivating and fun. Well done! You are a natural teacher! When we lived in Curacao for 6 months and then in Aruba for 6 months we definitely enjoyed hearing the subtle variations and loved seeing the written word differences also. E idioma ta hopi dushi! 😁
I really loved Aruba and would be able to live there for 6 months - I love how small the island is, people are so nice and good looking. The only thing I did not get used to is how they take their sweet time with stuff - I live a fast pace life so that is on me I guess. The food was amazing, so fresh and many healthy choices. I would say it is more on the pricey side but hitting the market outside the resorts helps big time. The humid took some time to get used too though, didn't like the fact that it would be 12am and sweating like a pig in nice clothing ..lol
We agree, living in Aruba for 6 months was awesome! The perfect sized island to explore in that amount of time, on a relaxed pace. Yes! The people are great, food great and prices definitely come down when you eat and shop locally! So glad to hear you enjoyed the island as we did. I am from Curaçao (but also love "dushi Aruba") and I totally agree with you. There are small differences between papiamentU of Curaçao and papiamentO of Aruba. Most of the differences are: etymological, accent, emphasis and some different words and spelling.
Thank you for your comment, great of you to add your thoughts. Yes, we very much enjoyed getting to know Papiamentu/o a little. It was super interesting to us! Very different from what we've experienced in all our travels. Thank you, if you did, for subscribing! And for clicking LIKE on this video and also the video we made of JUST Curacao! Haha Sergio....we hey... some of us are more gifted than others when it comes to learning and speaking different languages, right!? And, also, perhaps, maybe the funny side of Mr. Plan Free decided to play a little with pronunciations for us North American continent folks that might think Danki sounds a LOT like donkey! ...I mean maybe....? 🤣
Actually love this video, sometimes we need outside judgement to fix inside issue. I would like to see a video giving advice how to fix our beautiful islands
Thank you for watching and adding a comment! What did you like about the video? I wonder if their are other residents here reading your comment that also think the islands need some fixing? Hopefully they might share some suggestions here, and begin a productive conversation!
Some +- 45 years ago the Management of Holiday inn Aruba tried to pick our beach by implying that the locals were too noisy making it unsafe for their quests and for some time forbidden the use of their running water to clean up after swimming. The locals protested loud and clear and they abandoned this absurd idea after we had the Government intervening. Had we not protested Aruba would probably had ended up like Curacao is today not respecting the International rights on beaches stating that 12 Meters from the shore MUST be open and FREE for everyone. I guess most people are not aware of this affair or were not even born yet.

I feel like an important thing to touch on would be the ethnic and racial identities of the islands. Even though they have similar cultures, Aruba is mostly mixed with a large Black population. While Curacao is almost exclusively African.

Thank you for enjoying our islands. All the 3 or six islands (earlier part of the Dutch Kingdom) are different. They got things that are identical. The culture is a little different. And even if they all can speak Papiamentu..they surely have different words. Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao has its own entonation when they speak Papiamento. And we dont have mountain, we have hills Thank you again.

Awesome comparison of the two islands! We spent a month on Bonaire and were able to visit Aruba and Curacao. We made a few videos on our channel highlighting what we thought were the best parts of the island. Love how you filmed the islands... showed the true beauty of the southern Caribbean. You have a new friend with the "thewrightsights"!
Thank you for watching Wrights! Bonaire is an island we wouldn't mind living on for 6 months or exploring either, particularly under water! We hope to go and check out your Bonaire video. There are also 5 more videos on different parts of Aruba on our channel as well as one (so far) video dedicated only to Curacao too. See what you think! Thank you for taking the time to write a comment!
The languages actually even have a slightly different name. The one spoken in Curaçao is papiamentu and the one in Aruba is called papiamento. And I really wonder where you were driving from that took an hour and a half because the only time a drive took me so long was when I was driving from the west side and there was an accident but I guess if you drive on or around Caracasbaaiweg during rush hour it could take long too because there are a lot of hotels and resorts around there.
Thanks for watching and for your comments. Yes, we surely weren't the fastest drivers in Curacao, and we always seemed to NEED a stop at Yankee Donuts on the way to the west end, haha : ) So that probably adds 15-20 minutes to the drive time. If you have already, thanks for subscribing.

My family and I went to Curaçao in 2019 for the first time after going to Aruba for 8 years prior! We have to say hands down...Aruba! Curaçao is lovely but Aruba is 100% meant for tourists and they for sure treat us so much better than Curaçao! We can’t wait to go back to Aruba when COVID improves! We sure do miss Aruba and the people we met! 🇦🇼❤️
Having lived for 6 months in both countries, we'd have to say we agree with your comments.....we felt better, were treated overall better and life was calmer and simpler in Aruba. That was our experience anyways. :)
Aruba is indeed meant for the average tourist who loves resorts and likes having all amenities right across the street from his resort, the typical mass tourism destination. Curaçao is for those who are more adventurous, who like exploring more, nature, hiking, underwater world, culture/history and authenticity!

Hi I'm from Curaçao did you guys went to the mall we have? Like sambil and renaissance. In sambil it's more fun bc theres bowling, movies, video game store were you can play with the games, trampoline park, a playground for the little ones, a pastry shop, a gym and a restaurant (btw the restaurant is not in the food court) in renaissance it's more for tourists where there is a lot more souvenirs stuff. And if you dont mind me asking where did you guys stayed in Curaçao? (Btw I agree with you guys some ppl in Curaçao are rude but dont think that were all like that)
Oh and also the local food is amazing my favorite is yambo aka okra soup or banana stoba aka plantain stew or papaya stoba aka papaya stew and lastly bonchi which I think is red bean soup delicious
Yes, we did enjoy the malls a few times, you're right they had a bit of everything. We took in a movie "Avengers End Game" in the theatre there, and it was top notch! Thank you for watching, commenting, and for subscribing if you have already. Cheers! Oh btw, we stayed in an apartment rental, on Schubappelweg, near the Vreugdenhil.
Rude, ignorant and stupid people are found all over the world especially in the states where as soon you step out off the plane you are confronted by some guy who came floating from Cuba on a tube, got his green card and now treats you a tourist like shit. And if you go to Canada you are doomed as soon as you arrive, because they treat you like a criminal before you step out of the airport, talking about rude and ignorant. Curacao is a paradise and the people don't know what they have till its to late and already destroyed
You're right unfortunately, those types of people are everywhere. That's life. And, for the record, we didn't say anyone was rude. Rude people are all over the world. It's not like that was NEW for us guys@! lol What we SAID was that we met friendly people on both islands but we would have to say that the friendly level went up a notch in Aruba. :) Easy. Simple. We were fortunate to meet some very friendly and positive people in both Aruba and Curacao (and everywhere we go!). We seek and we find! Thanks for watching! Tell all your POSITIVE friends too! 😇
I am from Aruba. Thank you for your video. Dushi is a very normal word for us. We call people dushi, not even knowing them. Its sooooo normal. I love Aruba more than any place in this world. Its home.

@@PlanFree Every thing . you know that what Madero is doing charging to be on the beach is illegal. but almost know one on the island goes to that beach. is mostly tourist. all our beaches are free. they should press charges against them. but the local people don't go there. I shared it on fb so people can see what is going on.
The white SUV in 2.25 min is the exact example of driving on Curacao. Do you need mirrors??? Only to make yourself pretty, so no need to look if you have a side mirror.... Nice compare to both wonderful islands... But my heart is on Dushi Korsow.... You pay not that much for the beach (around 6 guilders, 4US$ at Mambo I think) , even not for Mambo. Yes Mambo is a private beach of Seaquarium, that is why it is called Seaquarium beach. But go to Daaibooi or other beaches at the west side.. or take a plunsh at Caracasbaai beach.. all are free of charge... and for hiking just ask the hiking map (a lot of hikes all around the island) at the "stichting Uniek Curacao" they will provide you with maps for several hikes. Try them, they are so wonderful!!!
Great comment @Mirjam Oosterbaan! And haha on that mirror.....yes, what's the point!? lol Thank you for taking the time to write a few words. We feel your heart for Korsow! 💕 Yes, we know about other beaches in Korsow, free also, but those were not as easy or fast to get to from where we lived and from the main part of the city. So, that is why we mention beaches a a difference between the two islands. Have you seen our video on Curacao alone? We talk about ALLLLL the beaches that Curacao has. Soooo many, and wonderful. They just require a little more commitment to get to. And, when we live in Curacao, we wanted a nice beach, close by that we could pop out to after a work day. Paying 6 guilder 4 or 5 days/week after work is not something most locals want to do. They want to relax on a beach. Vacationers will pay, yes, but we think f ourselves NOT as vacationers. We rented an apartment, bought a car and insurance and new license plates, etc and fully lived in Curacao. This is also juts out perspective. Know what we mean Dushi? 😊 Also, we want to help promote Curacao to others, so: please click the LIKE button and share the video...it will help others to see how lovely it is. Thank you!
Oh and I always call friends Dushi. Can you help me out Dushi? But you can also use it to say good night ( drumi dushi = sleep well) So do not make a big deal about dushi, it is a common word used for many things... such as food, men and women, but for me it was ideal, because I am terrible with names, and calling someone Dushi is just easier. :)))))
The "thank you" portion of this is very interesting to me. I've been to Belgium and the Dutch from a native sounds like "dank ewe". It seems like it transitioned to danki similarly to how latin produced sí for yes in spanish and oui in French.
@@thooper4380 the linguistics is totally interesting to us also. We were keenly aware of the subtleties between the islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao) in many of the words that the locals spoke. We tried to get it right everywhere. We failed! Haha Good fun and very interesting. You'd enjoy the islands it sounds like. Thank you so much for watching and commenting we love that. My girlfriend loves Aruba, but I find it way to Americanized. Last thing I want when I travel for fun, is to feel like I’m in the states. I’m down on globalization, it would be like living in Fargo. Every country should be proud of its food, culture, and diversity. I like food. Thanks for posting.
We like food too @Howard Rickert! We found Aruba to have a little of both, Americanized but also had it's own "flavor" that reflected its Dutch, African, Spanish and other heritages. It was interesting! Thanks for your comment! Please click the LIKE button on the vid and share it if you can?
Pro tip, maybe try to meet locals and go outside of the hotel area for a more local and less americanized experience. Remember in the hotel area they cater to Americans which are by far the biggest group of tourists.
The beaches could not be more different. Aruba is a long beautiful strip. If you love that, great. I prefer the beautiful coves of Curacao. Curacao also has plenty of free beaches. Curacao is so versatile from its beaches, so creative like Jamie's Beach, to trendy Beaches like Mambo or Jan Thiel Beach, which could be stylish beaches in Ibiza. Also in Curacao you have much more possibilities of renting houses and Apartments with Ocean view. Not much of that in Aruba. Aruba is also more Americanised, thats something I love too, because of the way they make the bars and restaurants. As I see it, none is better, just different. One will suit you more than the other. Both are beautiful.
We totally agree. Not one better or worse than the other, just different. 😊 That's why we were so thankful to have been able to live on both Islands for 6 months each... just to experience what is similar and what is different. The size of the islands are so different... one keeps you entertained/exploring for a little longer than the other, the other is easier to see everything much quicker and in less time. Interesting Po nts about the traffic and journey time. I've been living on Curacao for about 20yr now and traffic is crazy since last couple 5-8 yrs. Though when i looked at the spec of square mile, i noticed Aruba being less than half of Curaçao but still with a population of 107k, weird their traffic has a better flow . I did always hear that it's almost none stop slow driving file over there. Have never been there, so i really don't know

@@remcotevreden1228 We heard the word pronounced correctly and also in a sloppy way, on both islands, Curacao and Aruba. And keep in mind we are Canadian, so ANY way the word is pronounced to US, with the way we speak English, it sounds very similar to "donkey". We also like to have fun and so it made us laugh and have fun with it. :) That is natural we think. And we are not the first to think so. It's all in good fun. We love both islands! Hi i am from Curaçao livingin New York. The word "dushi" is not a word to get hit by. Because it is also used for when you drink or eat something that tast good. You can say "the food or the drink tast dushi" meaning the food or the drink tast good. I know you all was joking with the hitting but it is not a word to get hit if you use it. The beaches where you had to pay are owned by the Dutch sadly. And you know the Dutch, they charge you for everything. Curaçao has allot of free local beaches, sadly you don't mention those.
In this case we are comparing the "resort" type beaches on Curacao and Aruba. The comparison is that the "resort" type beaches often expect payment on Curacao, and on Aruba they do not. @@PlanFree i get what your saying but, aruba doesnt have any other beach outside eagle beach, baby beach, and maybe one other.. i think the fact that curacao has over 38 beaches is a hugh waying factor because if you do not wish to pay for a beach you still have more cosy and private beaches to go to... and honestly in my opinion the beaches you dont have to pay for are the more beautiful ones... reagarding the papiamentu aruba and curacao have different vocabularies.. some words are the same bit papiamentu in aruba is more spanish driven in writting and wording and curacao more dutch and creol influences.. but nice job guys your welcome on both islands...
@@garyhollander1 you obviously haven't been to Aruba if you think our most popular known beaches are the only beaches we have. Regarding the language that's true, our Papiamento is more Spanish driven and Curacao's Papiamento is more Afrikaans driven.
@@maxienne93 my mother is from aruba and ive been more than a million times and it is the truth... baby beach andicuri eagle malmok? So tell which other beautiful beach of aruba is there?
not completely true. Some are owned by the local pension fund (APC); maybe run by a Dutch company yes, but not owned. The fact that some beaches are not private goes back to our history, where those terrains were already private because the government does not sell land.
Aruba and Curacao are sister islands. Sisters do not compete :). We are family.

(LOL)
The way to write in Papiamentu differs on both islands.

You can access Mambo beach for free
Hi guys nice video! I am from Curaçao and i love it.. you guys did a great job by making this video. However, i must say that this is a tricky and sensitive subject to talk about because Aruba forever taught that they are better than us and we from Curaçao also think that we are better than them. You can see it as a long time feud. In my opinion its just better not to compare the islands, and just enjoy them both. But with that said thank you for visiting!💙💛🤍
Ps; at mambo they dont own the beach, but they own everything on the beach. But, just so you know our locals do not appreciate that either but the government doesnt do anything about that..

Indeed. Mambo is not a resort type beach!
Hi @Christine Anthony!
In our opinion and by the look of it and it's set up: Mambo is indeed more of a resort type beach than it is a natural beach. Especially with the ....resort beach that adjoins it on the one side....😉
We went almost every day because of the proximity to our apartment.
And with chairs set up right to the edge of the water and servers....
Just our perspective. But nice to read all your comments!

THIS video was our experience with the DIFFERENCES between Aruba and Curacao.

Papiamento in Aruba is softer and melodic.

In addition to living on Aruba I visited Curacao and found it to be another beautiful island with warm and friendly people.

You can ask anything else you'd like lol

You are welcome Dushi's from Curaçao, at the West side of the island we have a lot of natural and free beaches, we speak some different words in Papiamentu but we understand each other, we are good brothers and good neighbors , so every time you wanna come back, it's a pleasure for us, masha danki! 🥰🙋♀️!

I prefer Aruba over Curacao. I can drive or ride a bus from baby beach to the high rise in no time, and hang out at Mathews, my favorite water hole. I've spent many new year's eve in Aruba because of the awesome fireworks display. Great info.

I visit Curaçao in 2016 and Aruba in 2017 loved them both but i prefer Curaçao because its bigger and It seems less tourism. Baby beach in Aruba is a nice place to spend your day and Blue Bay in Curaçao is great.
@Gerson C. We also enjoyed both, they offer different things. We loved the slower pace of Aruba but we loved the larger size of Curacao to find more to explore.
Did you get to Rodgers beach in Aruba? (In our opinion it was even nicer than Baby and much quieter!)

You should go and check out Aruba and Curacao one day. Neat places.
For us they were both great to live on for the 6 full months each as we mentioned in our video but to live permanently in full-time we would need something a little larger I think and easier to get on and off of.
👍
I enjoyed the video, I love both islands. On the Curacao beaches: it came across as if paying to go to the beach is the norm compared to Aruba, whereas that would only be applicable to some of the popular tourist beaches near Willemstad. There is even a beach right in the city that is free. The majority and most beautiful beaches in Curacao are free and located on the West side of the island and these are also not developed.
Thanks for writing your comment! It was nice to read. This video is about the differences between Aruba and Curacao.

But we understand each other🤣
Greetings from the pearl of the Caribbean ARUBA 🏝
But we do speak diffrent dialect on all 3 island though....
@Gina Chirino Really!? On all three, Bonaire too!? That is so cool, thanks for adding this.
I wouldn’t say the language differences between the islands are considered a dialect, but more like differences in accents and such. So for example the differences in English you hear across the States, such as Florida vs Texas or the US vs England. All in all, it is the same language that’s being spoken on Aruba, Bonaire & Curaçao and we all understand each other:)
Amazing vid!

We just simply mentioned the fact that there was "Mambo" Beach and other paid beaches in Curacao because Aruba doesn't have ANY paid beaches. So we mention that as being one of the differences between the two islands. 😉
In Aruba we also have Jamanota. You forgot to mention that. A great place to hike
Oh that's interesting that you mentioned Jamanota! We actually mentioned it in our first recording and then decided to cut it out and just talk about Hooiberg. That's funny!

Nice to read your comment and contribution, thank you!

What did you like about the video?
Correction the highest point of Aruba is Jamanota not Hooiberg. Jamanota which is located in the national park (national park Arikok) is a height of 188m (617 ft). hooiberg which is located almost in the center of the island has a hight of 165m which makes it the second highest point of Aruba, the reason why hooiberg is more known is because at the top u will get a 360 view of the island and because of its location u can see hooiberg anywhere u are on the island.
Just something that people should know when they come and visit the island.
Hoped u enjoyed your stay on your beautiful one happy island and hope to seeing u soon back on the island🏝
Masha Danki = thank u very much

Yes the highest point is Jamanota.
But we mentioned the highest ACCESSIBLE point as being Hooiberg. We believe that is correct, no?
Thanks for sharing the info though, people will be interested to learn what you wrote. :)
We appreciate you taking the time to write that all out in a nice read. 👍
Arikok hill is second highest point 🤷🏻♂️. Hooiberg is third. All three of them are accessible for hiking. But the two highest points are in the National park, which a little fee has to be paid. Hopefully this helped
@@f1r9a8n9k ooo yes that is true, my mistake
Actually Hoorberg is no 4. Seroe Cabay (translated horse hill) is no 3. The top of Jamanota is accessible as well, just like Arikok hill and Seroe Cabay.

To help either plan their vacation or, like us, to move there for a short time to learn, see and experience the area. ;)
Both are great! But they do differ.

We purposely adjusted the pronunciation to fit the joke, if you get what I mean ; )
What did you like about the video?
Papiamentu was created in Curaçao, so when you say things like; _"It is a melting pot of many languages, because throughout history Aruba has had many settlers"_ It just doesn't make sense at all. Yes, Aruba has had many settlers over the years, but the reasons why Papiamentu is a melting pot in the first place, is because they settled in CURAÇAO.
Haha....didn't you just agree with @SarcasticFool though @Messy!?
Thanks for chipping in to our comments section!

th-cam.com/video/Z88Cu6nT-vs/w-d-xo.html

@DJ Obia Aruba Thank you so much!
Im from aruba

@Birgit Schinke stay tuned for a great video we will be releasing on all our favorite Curacao beaches! Coming very soon!

Ahh interesting.
Thanks for pitching in your comment.
Thank you, also, if you subscribed. 🙏
Aruba is indeed meant for the average tourist who loves resorts and likes having all amenities right across the street from his resort, the typical mass tourism destination. Curaçao is for those who are more adventurous, who like exploring more, nature, hiking, underwater world, culture/history and authenticity!
@@PlanFree happy to see you leave, BYE!!!
Hmmm we don't remember you or your positive vibes at all....that's odd.
We wonder which island you re from?
Cheers!
Thanks to the feedbackSss, i am from Curacao

I went to both islands...ill stay with Aruba..but Curacao is lit tho😁
Haha, funny. Thanks for the comment!
We appreciated our time living on both islands also. 👍
I love Curazao. For me it is the must beatifull islands in the Caribbean Sea. I like to admire the throat of water that separate Punda and Otrobanda.
It is a paradise definitely! When is your next vacation!?
One of our favorites was the Christmas time donut-like thing (forgive my spelling) Olie Bolin? Help me, lol.
It's not like that was NEW for us guys@! lol
What we SAID was that we met friendly people on both islands but we would have to say that the friendly level went up a notch in Aruba. :) Easy.

And haha on that mirror.....yes, what's the point!? lol
Thank you for taking the time to write a few words.
We feel your heart for Korsow! 💕
Yes, we know about other beaches in Korsow, free also, but those were not as easy or fast to get to from where we lived and from the main part of the city.
Also, we want to help promote Curacao to others, so: please click the LIKE button and share the video...it will help others to see how lovely it is.
We failed! Haha
Good fun and very interesting.
You'd enjoy the islands it sounds like.

@@PlanFree your welcome.
Pro tip, maybe try to meet locals and go outside of the hotel area for a more local and less americanized experience. Remember in the hotel area they cater to Americans which are by far the biggest group of tourists.
@@AruwakEM you can call me Mr..opposite, because I rent a car if possible, and stay as far away from the tourist traps as possible.
That's why we were so thankful to have been able to live on both Islands for 6 months each... just to experience what is similar and what is different. The size of the islands are so different... one keeps you entertained/exploring for a little longer than the other, the other is easier to see everything much quicker and in less time. We enjoyed both. Perhaps the overall vibe in Aruba suited our chill personalities more. Everyone if different.
You?

Have you seen the video we did on Curacao's beaches? Ee definitely found the 'Ibiza type' beaches but also the quiet cove beaches. Here check it out!:

@@PlanFree Thank you for your great comparison, I cant wait to see Aruba a little closer.

Have never been there, so i really don't know
Hi @Rombout Versluijs, how are you?
Yeah we were very surprised at the traffic on Curacao. There's sometimes you wait quite a while on certain routes!
And well yes! You must go visit Aruba! Just for a change of pace, a little get away and the chill vibe.
We think you would like it.

@@PlanFree I’m a Curacao native, I enjoy hearing of visitors experiences on Island! Glad you guys had a mostly positive experience! I especially love the comparison with Aruba, the language is the same but you can compare it to Canadian English and American English same but different 😁
Precisely @Jon Jonckheer! GREAT comparison with Canadian English vs Americans English.
You are quite right and your educated, polite and positive delivery were a delight to read!
Thanks for much for the comment!

if you pronounce it wrong then you get wrong interpretations.... it is dAnki, so why would you pronounce it as an O ?
@@remcotevreden1228 We heard the word pronounced correctly and also in a sloppy way, on both islands, Curacao and Aruba. And keep in mind we are Canadian, so ANY way the word is pronounced to US, with the way we speak English, it sounds very similar to "donkey". We also like to have fun and so it made us laugh and have fun with it. :) That is natural we think. And we are not the first to think so.
It's all in good fun. We love both islands!
Which one are you from?
Hi i am from Curaçao livingin New York. The word "dushi" is not a word to get hit by. Because it is also used for when you drink or eat something that tast good. You can say "the food or the drink tast dushi" meaning the food or the drink tast good. I know you all was joking with the hitting but it is not a word to get hit if you use it. Just use your best judgment and use it on the right person if you intent to you it...
Thank you for watching and commenting!
Thank you for adding your perspective on the language and pronunciation differences, it's interesting. The danki dushi bit was meant to be amusing/funny. Maybe we're just not that funny ; ) as most of the resident viewers didn't get the joke. Yes, of course we know the pronunciation after living on the islands for 12 months. We purposely adjusted the pronunciation to fit the joke, if you get what I mean ; )
What did you like about the video?
The beaches where you had to pay are owned by the Dutch sadly. And you know the Dutch, they charge you for everything. Curaçao has allot of free local beaches, sadly you don't mention those.
In this case we are comparing the "resort" type beaches on Curacao and Aruba. The comparison is that the "resort" type beaches often expect payment on Curacao, and on Aruba they do not.
Yes, you are right Curacao has many beautiful less crowded beaches for those willing to drive. But so does Aruba.
This video describes the differences between the two islands, not the the things that are the same.
We mention some specific, less crowded Curacao beaches in our dedicated Curacao video here;
th-cam.com/video/l2aAz6u_uAQ/w-d-xo.html
We also illustrate some less crowded Aruba beaches in this video;
