  • Violino strings have a core made from a modern multifilament fiber. They are low-tension strings that remain stable regardless of variations in temperature and humidity. They offer a warm, smooth, round sound with excellent tuning stability.

    They are a great choice for players with a bright, shrill or whiny instrument that are looking for a warmer and more open sound. For instruments with high action or high string height, Violino strings would also make playing much more comfortable because they have such a low tension.

    I love these strings. I've tried many others and still buy these over more expensive sets. I play gently to make my violin soft and sweet, rather than digging in. These are very easy to make sound good.

    Yay you did the Violinos!! Thank you for these videos, they are seriously so helpful! And as a bonus, you make what could be a very dry topic, engaging and entertaining.

    Very well structured this review! In the next episode can you review pirastro synoxa? They are used very rarely and nobody says anything about them. 😁

    I appreciate for you to make this video since have many string changing simultanously is not easy take time take many effort..by the way I like the sound of tonica especially in lower register

    Helpful review 😊. Just going by this video comparison, I liked the Dominants best. From what I remember from your other string videos, I recall liking PI strings best on your particular Artist violin.

      @@Fiddlershop Gibbles, it was very helpful that you showed how the sound broke under heavier bow pressure.

    hmm, the violino fuzzy sound could be great for certain pieces, especially the way the G sounds. On my someday list.

    Michael, can you guys do a violin string comparison video of say Violinos, Cantigas, Tonicas, Alphayues, and ProArtes using say standard Dominants set (with a Pirastro gold E) as a baseline ??
    I’ve come to my own conclusions on 3 out of the 6 already, but would like to hear a pro opinion before trying the other 3. I’m about getting the best bang for the buck on my instrument, as these things suck up cash. I guess you can’t speak to longevity in certain cases, but I’m sure you can speak to the tone and feel on the standard sets of these. Happy Holidays! 🥳

    Im playing this strings a few years on my old german violin at home and i think they sounds very beautiful and gorgeous. But at the irish sessions i can not hear myself together with another instruments. Not a big deal for me. I enjoy playing my instrument. Should i change them? Im not sure about it

    My violin comes with this strings. Yeah fuzzy sound happened. But I'm kinda like it, very easy to play and very comfortable in fingers. But when comes to the comparison here I think I like the tonica, I'll try it later😁

    One of my violins has a bright sound, a bit nasal and lacks a lot of bass, also not very loud. Which strings do you recommend?

    • @mehrannoori8889
      @mehrannoori8889 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I suggest evahpirazi gold.
      Its soft and warm and has good tension.

  • @CarlViola
    @CarlViola หลายเดือนก่อน

    When you consider that you are getting a set for less than an Evah Pirazzi Viola C would cost you know what you’re getting - I would still probably suggesting Dominants over these though due to break in time but they could be a good spare set as they aren’t too bright so wouldn’t stand out stand out in an school orchestra for example.

    I really like your videos, Michael. Whitty, informative. But every now and then can you get someone like Marilyn Monroe talking to us in that really sexy voice? You just might sell out your strings?
    On another note, not a B# but how would you rate these with your Fiddlerman strings? Are they darker than Fiddlerman? Less strong in volume than Fiddlerman?
