I love these strings. I've tried many others and still buy these over more expensive sets. I play gently to make my violin soft and sweet, rather than digging in. These are very easy to make sound good.
Yay you did the Violinos!! Thank you for these videos, they are seriously so helpful! And as a bonus, you make what could be a very dry topic, engaging and entertaining.
Im playing this strings a few years on my old german violin at home and i think they sounds very beautiful and gorgeous. But at the irish sessions i can not hear myself together with another instruments. Not a big deal for me. I enjoy playing my instrument. Should i change them? Im not sure about it
Thank you for this review. Currently I'm using the d'addario ascente strings, which i liked very much on my violin...however, time of changing came and I'm not sure wether i go with the ascente again or try a new set as violino or pro arte. It would be great if you are able to do a pro arte review as well since they are recommended/mentioned often as well 🤗
My violin comes with this strings. Yeah fuzzy sound happened. But I'm kinda like it, very easy to play and very comfortable in fingers. But when comes to the comparison here I think I like the tonica, I'll try it later😁
When you consider that you are getting a set for less than an Evah Pirazzi Viola C would cost you know what you’re getting - I would still probably suggesting Dominants over these though due to break in time but they could be a good spare set as they aren’t too bright so wouldn’t stand out stand out in an school orchestra for example.
I appreciate for you to make this video since have many string changing simultanously is not easy take time take many effort..by the way I like the sound of tonica especially in lower register
Helpful review 😊. Just going by this video comparison, I liked the Dominants best. From what I remember from your other string videos, I recall liking PI strings best on your particular Artist violin.
Michael, can you guys do a violin string comparison video of say Violinos, Cantigas, Tonicas, Alphayues, and ProArtes using say standard Dominants set (with a Pirastro gold E) as a baseline ?? I’ve come to my own conclusions on 3 out of the 6 already, but would like to hear a pro opinion before trying the other 3. I’m about getting the best bang for the buck on my instrument, as these things suck up cash. I guess you can’t speak to longevity in certain cases, but I’m sure you can speak to the tone and feel on the standard sets of these. Happy Holidays! 🥳
Been waiting 2 yrs for a Violino review. Now I feel slightly depressed. Your attempts to sound positive were commendable though not very convincing. Thank you. ;)
Oh just FYI, your Michael Explains it All playlist does not have this video! It's only thanks to the whimsical algorithm gods that I finally saw this lol.
I really like your videos, Michael. Whitty, informative. But every now and then can you get someone like Marilyn Monroe talking to us in that really sexy voice? You just might sell out your strings? On another note, not a B# but how would you rate these with your Fiddlerman strings? Are they darker than Fiddlerman? Less strong in volume than Fiddlerman?

Glad you like them!
Absolutely love these. No apologies! Vids are fun, informative, they hit the spot! Appreciate all ya do!
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
hmm, the violino fuzzy sound could be great for certain pieces, especially the way the G sounds. On my someday list.
Definitely!

Thank you for watching! We are glad that they do help. We try to incorporate a little "edutainment" to the videos :)
We love every minute of them, no need to apologize. Great reviews!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Oh here he is, our wine expert of strings
Such a great comment, thank you! 🤗😍
Very well structured this review! In the next episode can you review pirastro synoxa? They are used very rarely and nobody says anything about them. 😁
The Beloved series is coming back 🎉🎉🎉
Yay!!! 😍
Great video! Love your sound wave charts comparison!
Glad you enjoy it!
beautifully played, thanks a lot for review!
Thanks for watching!
Warchal Timbres please!!! Not many reviews on them and seem to be giving interesting characteristics.

They're like a lower tension of Obligato.
Thanks..I have been using these strings for 2 years they are great and have a good price.
Glad you like them!

Thanks! I'm kinda liking the Tonicas - how a standard violin should sound imho.
Thanks for watching! If they work for you that's what counts :)
Amazing could you do maybe a review on pirastros synoxa and aricore strings next
Totally worth watching til the end 😁
Happy to hear! Thanks for watching 😃

@@Fiddlershop Gibbles, it was very helpful that you showed how the sound broke under heavier bow pressure.
How about a review of Warchal Nefrit strings? Steel EA/synthetic DG... and similar price to Preludes
Or Jargar classic :)

Will need to add it to the playlist! Thank goodness for the algorithm
One of my violins has a bright sound, a bit nasal and lacks a lot of bass, also not very loud. Which strings do you recommend?
I suggest evahpirazi gold.
Its soft and warm and has good tension.
Oblagato?
Finally!!
Yes! 😃
You should do a video where you rank the best E strings for violin 😵
