  • www.iddtherapy.... for non-invasive spine care. London neurosurgeon Mr Plev describes when and why spinal surgery becomes an option or even necessity for sciatica. Whilst most sciatica is resolved by the body naturally or with conservative treatments such as manual therapy and IDD Therapy, weakness in the legs or loss of bowel or urinary function is typically a key sign that surgical intervention is necessary. Certainly people experiencing such issues should contact a doctor for immediate diagnosis and advice.
Mr Plev trained as a neurosurgeon in Germany and practices in Harley Street, London. To contact Mr Plev’s clinic, call 07901 366155.
IDD Therapy is a non-invasive treatment for disc problems and sciatica when manual therapy and exercise alone are insufficient to bring about change. IDD Therapy works by gently decompressing and mobilising the targeted spinal segment, easing pressure on nerves and helping to restore function. For more information visit www.iddtherapy.co.uk

Hopefully you can offer some advice. I have had sciatica on and off for 6 years. This episode is 5 months in and im unable to stand straight at all and cannot walk more than 5 minutes without hours of excruciating pain. Ive been on meds, and been sent to physiotherapy... again for the 5th time. Its making it worse ans the exercises suggested i am of course unable to perform. The NHS seems to be doibg everything to avoid surgery but why? Who should i consult and how should i approach healthcare professionals to consider it?
