I've been using my Wise card for over three years now for transactions in Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea without any issues. When i will withdraw my 10000 lets say its become 11000 can i know how much interactive will charge me from withdrawing from ibkr to my bank account in bahrain ??
As u mention there is RM20000 max holding on the Wise eWallet, how about if i want to transfer money to IB which exceed that amount ? For example i want transfer 30k USD to IB, any regulation on that ?

If Jordanian currency isn’t listed in your app, one option is to convert MYR to USD or EUR first, then exchange that to Jordanian Dinar (JOD) when you’re in Jordan or using another service. You might also want to check if there’s an alternative app or service that supports JOD directly.

Perhaps you should mention they’re not issuing cards in the US. It took over 7 days for my money to be deposited in my Wise account after being withdrawn from my banking account. My Colorado Credit Union only charges flat 1% Thanks for teaching me a valuable lesson🤯
0.7 percent is not a cheap. many cards in europe offer currency change fee below 1 percent. and they are credit cards, so you can use them in hotels, car rentals etc, where Wise is not accepted.
would you say that it will be safe to get a wise card for a elderly family member to use? since they are more careless and prone to losing their credit/debit card.
Hmmmm that is really situational - I’d say a Wise card could be a safe option, especially since it lets you freeze/unfreeze the card instantly through the app if it ever gets lost. Plus, you can set spending limits to keep things in check. Just make sure they’re comfortable using the app or that someone can help manage it for them if needed.
I believe the software dynamically selects the currencies that generate the smallest fees So if you’re in Japan, the Wise account will take from the Yen account first, then when that currency runs out it will pick the currency with the lowest fees and so on That’s the theory😂

What I mean is if if I have an RM and SGD wallet and paying a GBP transaction. I was not able to choose to pay RM as I wanted to retain SGD for something else. So with the auto conversion they selected the SGD.
I could be wrong. If anyone knows how to manually select a currency for payment pls let me know. Cheers
maybe because of this @5:12 , they auto choose the lowest exchange rate
I applied for the card online & requested the card to be delivered to my address out of Malaysia. Took about 3-4 weeks, but it arrived anyhow.
yupz i support Wise. normal account hold RM20k for all currency combine but unlimited to business account. This Wise partly act like bank but dont have interest or loans. so their "profits" partly from fees but yes as u know they also in stock which i just find out right now. LOL i know Wise got something in their professionalism but dint expect they into stocks as well n that in GBP. ouch...
Thank you. I was going to get one, but in North America, they are not offering the actual cards out right now (09/25/2024). So I passed.
ah..thanks for sharing!
Long time user here as well.
Sadly, their conversion rate has been bad lately…. You can get much better rate at money changers, specifically USD & SGD
Yeah my US trip one was about 1%, but still, much lower than bank card
Hey Ziet, appreciate if you could help me with this. How do I transfer wise money to a local bank account in Malaysia?
I live in Vancouver and my card arrived in two weeks.
that's awesome! thanks for sharing
Order the phy card on the 21st Nov, received on 23rd. Area Banting, selangor. Courier Citi-link 😊
That’s fast!
I have never used any card to pay over my iPhone and wallet on my iPhone. So how do I start to use my wise card to pay. do I just open my Wise App, choose the card and hold my phone to the device?
I sent money from my local bank account to wise, and it's hasn't arrived yet. Been 5 days I'm getting worried. Someone have same experience
I’ve been using this method since last year, so far so good haha
Pros: convert and cash in to IBKR relatively easy and quickly, fees lower and without much hassle or extra steps to be done in the process
Cons: the holding limit just way too low, wish to increase more like 50k and below 100k ringgit if possible
Haven’t got a chance to use that physical card yet, but trying to see if the virtual wise Apple Pay could be useful in my upcoming Japan trip this May 😂
Yesuuuu agree, the ease of funding IBKR is (*chefs kisses*)!
Haven't bumped into any issue with the wallet limit yet coz i brought quite a bit of cash to Japan (like RM 6k+) hahaha! (touch wood)
You can only withdraw $350 per month at an ATM before you start paying high fees. Not great if you are travelling.
Great video! I just got my card about 2 weeks to get in Canada! Keep up the videos on all the features Wise has! It's going to take a while to learn how to use it!!
Thank you! Enjoy your travels!!
Why aren't they giving the USA wise cards anymore?
Very interested to know more on wise Corporate account, possible to do one?
not something that i use at the moment but ill take note on that!!

Very helpful video. Thank you. I sent my wife and daughter to Malaysia so she can go to school there, and in the meantime, I'm waiting for the MM2H visa to get sorted out. We are buying property to rent there and I need a more affordable way to send money from the UAE. This looks like maybe the solution.
Glad this helped! All the best brother
@@ZietInvests Yes, but after signing up I found out I can only send 10,000 MYR per day. I need to send a total of 1,650,000 MYR over two payments. Do you have any advise on another affordable way?

Thanks for chipping in!

Does WISE support conversion from other currency to another?
let’s say i converted MYR to SGD, and then convert SGD to KRW?
because I have gone thru the RHB Multi Currency account which it only allow to exchange from MYR to other currencies, but not from other currencies to the other.
Absolutely. U can use feature like that easily. I already using it 2 months. And it works flawlessly.
@@johnricksteves4715 thanks for the answer!
I have a question. l will be traveling to Cambodia in November and Wise card is not accepted there. What are my other options?
Hmmm, if you're from Malaysia, probably can try GXBank or BigPay? Otherwise, might have to see whats available in your country, worse case would be bank's debit/credit card (which unfortunately means worse rates :x)
omg tq.. theres the one specific question ive got answered.. coz i only use wise for my annual japan trip.. and maybank rates when withdrawing in japan are so trash
nice! glad this helped!
Really appreciated the time taken to share with us in such details! But unfortunately, Wise does not support MYR for auto conversion TT
yeahh that's a bummer :x

I need to convert from MYR to jordanian currency, in my app jordanian not in the list, any ideas?
If Jordanian currency isn’t listed in your app, one option is to convert MYR to USD or EUR first, then exchange that to Jordanian Dinar (JOD) when you’re in Jordan or using another service. You might also want to check if there’s an alternative app or service that supports JOD directly.
Thank you very much for this informative video. I got a Q. if I take the digital card, will sms be sent to my local number? coz normally I remove Malaysian sim when overseas, and use the foreign country sim.
Can I add money into my wise account from a post office like I want to know if I have cash and I want to add that money into my wise account how can I do that as I know the post office doesn’t let me as the card doesn’t work with them
Good morning
How to deposit money into my wise apps. Can teach how to deposit I here now in Japan I don't know how to deposit thank you
Hello~ you can link a Japanese bank account or use a debit card to add funds. Just go to “Add Money” in the Wise app, choose the currency and amount, and follow the prompts
Ziet, thank for your sharing.
I have trip to Japan, if I bank in the money by ringgit.
1st question, if I want withdraw yen on Japan. Should I manually need to convert to yen only on wise apps system only able to withdrawal the money ?
2. Same as pay as debit card, do I need to convert to yen? Or the wise will automatically convert from ringgit to yen during paying?
Hi!
1. Your money (in any currency) will be automatically converted to JPY when you withdraw - so nope, no need to convert manually yourself!
2. No need! All auto converted!
@@ZietInvests Thank for your advice, I had purchased the wise card already, however still yet to test on foreign country, my next trip was travel alone on Japan due to company matter. Slightly worry because yet to test before, anywhere, thank for your advice
How to recieve money from gcash to wise account. Anyone can answere about this please?
Just wish wish would apply QR payments in more countries , they fail big time in this regard
I guess its because different country uses different payment gateway, hence its very hard (or too expensive) for them
@@ZietInvests Possible however their competitor Revoult allows it, and you can use it in Switzerland, and their website has had the same information for near on 2 years that they are bringing more soon, but they don't . I like Wise , have transferred over $50k using it, but it could be so much better
@zietinvests the new GX Bank doesn’t charge foreign exchange rates when used during traveling, good future video perhaps.
only 2 day arrive...wow..normal postage
wow thats fast!
Can we use wise for deposit and withdrawal in any forex broker for trading?
I just applied for my wise card and received it in 4 days 😊.
Awesome!!
I will go to Japan 🇯🇵 next year. I will use your link to apply wise card. TQ very much.
Thank you, and enjoy! It's a lovely country
Can I transfer from my USA account to wise? How often and is there a daily limit?
Yes, you can transfer from your US account to Wise. You can do this as often as you like, but the daily limit usually depends on your bank's policy and Wise’s limits, which can vary based on the currency and transfer method. It's best to check directly with Wise for the specific limits applicable to your account!
@@ZietInvests thank you 🙏🏾
Hi there, I am new to Wise too. Can I know how to use this card via ATM? I keyed in the 4 digit pin on the machine, but nothing comes out on the screen. If I need to key in the initial 6 digit activation number sent to my email, unfortunately it has been deleted. Please advice me on this. TQ
Hmmm, try again to verify at an atm? Not sure what happened - probably contacting their chat support will help you to rectify/reset your card
Around 1 week for sabah. Wait they have on Samsung pay?

Yes!
That's a great advice video. I have a question for you ziet. If i was a president of the world and I was appointing you as 'finance minister' for world's economy would you take that role ?
Hello Ruben! That’s a super cool question 👀 honestly I wouldn’t, too much politics will be involved and I won’t be able to do what I like freely - the money & power that comes with it might not be worth the trade offs, but im sure there will be someone more qualified and eager than me to fill into that role😁
As for now, Im genuinely happy to make financial content without any restraint!
Hi. Do you know if topping up a wise account can be counted as online shopping for malaysian credit cards? (to acrue points)
Can i get the physical card of wise in UAE
Anyone know regarding its Shariah status?
I will be working in Serbia for a month I have not found their currency on Wise
ah seems like they dont have that currency available yet
Revolut ?
@@ZietInvests please advise what would be the best alternative
Perhaps you should mention they’re not issuing cards in the US. It took over 7 days for my money to be deposited in my Wise account after being withdrawn from my banking account. My Colorado Credit Union only charges flat 1%
Thanks for teaching me a valuable lesson🤯
ah im sorry for missing that!
0.7 percent is not a cheap. many cards in europe offer currency change fee below 1 percent. and they are credit cards, so you can use them in hotels, car rentals etc, where Wise is not accepted.
Which one? And also for non European transactions?
Can i transfer my Wise foreign currency out to that country local bank? If yes, what details will be needed in Wise transfer?
Yes, you can, usually need the bank’s SWIFT/BIC code and your account number
Hey bro does it have any other platform like wise that has a physical card and works in the Caribbean ?
Hello! Im not very familiar with the Caribbean, but perhaps you can try checking out Revolut or Payoneer? They have very similar offerings to Wise
would you say that it will be safe to get a wise card for a elderly family member to use? since they are more careless and prone to losing their credit/debit card.
Hi, if I have multi currency account in Wise, how to ensure the money is withdrawn from that specific country's account?
I believe the software dynamically selects the currencies that generate the smallest fees
So if you’re in Japan, the Wise account will take from the Yen account first, then when that currency runs out it will pick the currency with the lowest fees and so on
That’s the theory😂
My first card arrived after 3/4 months of waiting. I thought it got lost in mail so I cancelled the first card and ordered a second one but the first card arrived a week after I cancelled it. Now, 3 months in, I'm still waiting for my second card to arrive :S
Woah so long, have you tried pushing the customer support? Sometimes it might be lost in transit or actually delivered at guard house but not notified haha (happened to me many times with my shopee parcels)
@@ZietInvests i didnt try the CS because the mail they use doesn't have a tracking code. My guard house doesn't accept letters/ parcels anymore due to a change in management rule. :')
