Hi guys, this video took a while to make simply because it was very challenging to do this fight perfectly while sitting through the long cutscene at the start every time. It was also hard because I made a rule for myself that I could only dodge/parry his attacks, no blocking allowed because I think it’s more exciting gameplay like this. Hope you guys enjoy it, if you do be sure to like and share, would mean the world to me. I’ll be doing the rest of the main story fights at level 1 with no upgrades as well. May take me a while to get them all done but rest assured i will do them. I can’t promise anything yet but i will try and do the Berserker fights and Gna at level 1 with no upgrades as well, I don’t know if they’re possible yet. stay tuned friends!
@@lewi_baton915 the first boss fight Bjorn has unlimited health, if you complete all of the skill challenges and unlock gold tier for all of them you get the XP to unlock all the skills.
While GBG excels with breaking the game to give us incredible fights, you excel with taking what the game gives you and using the mechanics to their fullest potential. Those dodges when Thor does those three quick hammer swings are impressive as hell. Must've taken forever to get right, especially when fighting him close up. Man just kicks me the fuck away lmao. You never fail to impress. Can't wait to see more.

I love that this video is getting the traction that it so rightfully deserves. I loved how you perfected each sequence I can imagine your pain sitting through the cutscene everytime you mess up. This is like a 6 phase fight to be able to pull that of No Damage alone is a feat, on top of that you did it with style. I tip my hats off to you sir for your perfection/Skill and mostly importantly persistence with this one!
I think this fight has the longest intro cutscene of any boss fight in the game. From here it should be much easier as most of the remaining story boss fights have much shorter intro cutscenes.
@@RAGE-OF-SPARTA-X That's true, you can get right into the fight for the subsequent bosses. I think the annoyance of sitting through the entire cutscene in this fight raises up the stakes causing the anxiety to kick in specially when you are about to be done. Causing you to panic and mess it up, its brutal when that happens. But anways great job with the video man, can't wait to see your take on the next bosses.

The intro cut scene to this fight is the best out of the reboot series. Sucks they had it in the beginning. This multipart fight should have been the final boss . Maybe if they left it at a 3 game mythos
Some things that helped me, whenever thor goes for the heavy left hand strike followed by the right front kick, dodge the left hand, don’t try and parry it as the timing is a little funky depending on the distance. Also, dodge the Thunder clap attack as you can get back to attacking afterwards much more quickly, blocking it knocks you back too far. Good luck, if you succeed post the vid, I’ll totally watch it.
@@RAGE-OF-SPARTA-X Just got done grinding and I'm now doing the Thor boss, I see you evade the triple hammer swings and you sneak some axe blows in. I tried to do that but accidently did the evade move, should I still try to sneak in hits during the swings or should I just dodge all three then start a combo?
How did you get all those axe skills so quickly? Did you get Gold tier for every skill you could complete to get the XP? New subscriber achieved, rock on!
Damn man, this must have taken you a while. Awesome video. I wished there where alternative dialogue for how well you do during the fight. He roasting kratos while not even touching him doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
@@RAGE-OF-SPARTA-X yeah, i did this fight without taking damage too, but using checkpoints. When the developers add the skip cutscene feature a will try doing how you did it.
@@Hunter-qu6dx for me, I couldn’t even skip the opening cutscene regardless because when you skip it goes past the intro of him sending Kratos into the stratosphere in the air, i love having the full cutscenes intro in my vids. Forgive me for being nosy but, i looked at your channel and saw your subscriptions, are you an AK guy and a GOW fan?
Quick attacks like I’m mostly using in the video can be canceled with a dodge or block at any time, a nice trick is to press R1 right before you’re about to dodge as it gets you as close to the target as possible, if you’re close you have invincibility frames on the dodge. Some attacks can’t be canceled, those are more risky.
Rule of thumb: Regular light and heavy chains you can cancel. Running attacks, dodge attacks and most skills you cannot. Heavy finishers, you cannot. There are some weird cases. You can charge flame whiplash, dodge, and instantly charge again. You can dodge cancel the light axe recall, you can't cancel the heavy axe recall. You can also cancel most recoveries/regular attacks with a shield bash (L1x2) or by using rage
What you're seeing in the middle of the fight is actually the only way to step-dodge that 3 hit chain Thor has. The attacks are too fast to just press O/X, Kratos will roll if you press it that quickly. But if you r1, dodge, r1, dodge, repeat, you can chain step-dodges faster than you could normally

My fingers aren’t as coordinated as GBG’s so I’m forced to use the regular mechanics lol
