I've finally understood why exactly Tyr fought Kratos. To release the anger the last feels towards himself so that it doesn't cloud his mind. That is how battles bring enlightenment
7:50 Kratos admitting he was ambitious made me realize that Zeus, Cronos, and their parents before them became the tyrannical monsters they were known to be because they all had one constant factor. The biggest factor is that lead to each of their downfalls was that they all craved power. If Kratos hadn't stopped craving power, Atreus would've ended up carrying on the cycle of patricide. Atreus also had that thirst after finding out he had godly powers. It was good that Kratos snapped him out of it.
i like how each of Tyr's weapons parallel Kratos', both in appearance and in general playstyle 1. Spear & Shield : Draupnir spear 2. Macuahuitl : Blade of Olympus 3. Khopesh : Blades of Chaos 4. Katana : Leviathan Axe
I also feel like this is Kratos finally meeting his equal, or even his superior, a god that can finally show him a real resistance. I saw once, on another video, a comment saying "Tyr gives me the impression he is holding back" and I totally agree with this
I disagree, the current Kratos holds himself absurdly, he has always been treated in history as having an absurdly high strength even compared to other gods, Kratos showed that even without fighting seriously he would humiliate Thor and Odin, Tyr certainly seems to be the closest god Kratos' level, but I doubt it will be equal or higher
And I also disagree, since canonically (in the game), this blow from Kratos was with him holding back a lot too, what you think is that tyr is much superior to kratos mentally but kratos must be at least slightly superior to tyr physically @@KyRex1783
@@PalturBRI think Tyr is likely equal to current Kratos. Kratos didn't wield many forms of magic like he is back then. Except if we're talking about Young Kratos who still wields a lot of olympus magic, equipments, has the Blade of Olympus and the Power of Hope inside him.

It probably was easy, but not impossible. On top of being a damn wizard with a lot of tricks, Odin is notoriously crafty when it comes to screwing with people in a way they didn't see him coming.

If you think about it this way: The room represents Kratos' mind and when he finally faced the deepest depths of his mind we can see that it is still 'ruled' by his younger self (representing that part of his mind/of his self), seemingly not even wanting to let him enter, which is why he first had to become 'ready' to face him/it. After that sequence literally with himself, we can finally see that he has overcome that part and is not the sole ruler of his mind, his inner self. And like the 'new' Kratos entered this 'throne room of the mind' as an outsider, the old one is still prone to re-enter, which is why he stated preamptively that, if he should return, he will not know if that part regains control or not. But what is sure is that the inner conflict is now put aside. This is further highlighted by the fact that Kratos now fully sees his potential within hope and from the standpoint of hope as a concept. There are other sequences in the story where this surfaced, especially when Kratos spoke to Atreus and told him he should 'open his heart'. This acceptance is the key to all of this

Honestly its just fun seeing kratos spar with someone
Lore Accurate Kratos
So if Kratos is finally replace Tyr as god of war, then Tyr is now free to travel to different mythology. He might meet Atreus along his journey. Atreus will be very surprised to see real Tyr. Tyr learn how Atreus got betrayed by Odin by masquerading as fake tyr and how he killed Brok. So since Tyr had experienced in traveling to different mythologies, he can help Atreus find all the giants and a Egyptian Ankh to revive Brok. Not to mention Tyr actually used to help all the giants in jotunheim from Odin, so he felt obliged to help Atreus find the remaining giants. The Giants may not know who Atreus is but at least they know who Tyr is. This will create trust among them. And also Sigrun said she wants to travel beyond the Norse realm, so we might see Tyr, Sigrun and Atreus together on other Mythology. I hope cory barlog do that.
Hol up an Ankh ?
Can this restore a soul from nothing?
@@katama4843 to the best of my knowledge, I thought Ankh can resurrect the dead completely..
@@LegendGamer56 If the Ankh could restore a part of broks soul that sindri took to bring him back then we would have a chance of getting brok back but the Ankh of my VERY limited knowledge does not restore a soul. Remember Brok isnt just dead, Hes DELETED from existents for what we know so if the Ankh could restore or make a back up of Brok then mabye you are right but TLDR If the Ankh has such power then it COULD do it but better to look it up in the egypten myths to know for sure
Tyr: "Stop moving so much!"
Bully Kratos: "You wanna Cry, Tear?" xD
Hope someone do a fight with a different challenge
1. Only spear
2. Only axe
3. Only blade of chaos
4. Just use 2 type 😅
Only blade of Olympus
Whoever did that in show me mastery is the true God of war
This dlc takes the best from gow reboot and packs it in 30min runs. Feels so nice to fight booses without need to play as a spoiled kid. Just wish they added 3 valkyries from main campaign to bosses pool.
Sad story is Tyr is Atreus's crush but he never had the chance to see him
can't imagine how strong Kratos if he had his younger strength and wisdom from old Kratos, dude literally Become Tyr
Old kratos is stronger
Everyone needs a tyr in their life, why ain’t there a plushie of him :(
Was surprised tyr used extra people in samurai sword fight. I had him beat also
This was very satisfying
6:24 he lost health in the greece not in the Týr fight
I couldn't beat him without a resurrection stone.. GG
So Thor has the power, Tyr has the technique, Heimdall has the reflexes and Baldur has the endurance. Put them together you would have one hell of a fighter
3rd fight is kicking my ass at the moment
What would have broken the internet was a young kratos vs wise and old kratos would have been sick
What does the watermarked statistics at top right corner signify (below the difficulty level) and how do you show that?
Is there a way to avoid the Golden balls attack in the second fight besides running and escaping them, I am stuck on the second fight simply because I can't avoid hits from those golden balls and Tyr also knows that so he keeps spamming those (have just tried it twice though, planning to retry again tonight) :(
Seems there is no other way aside from running/dodging around the golden waves.
You can parry them with the shield also!
I think that you can only parry them on the lower difficulties, on the two hardest they're unblockable @@DAEMONF1RE
Wow Tyr is strong 💪
Tyr didn't even gave him a bit to ready, he attacks immediately before the player could even prepare on yameplay.
When? He always ask ready, like everyone just jumps you in the main, he even tells you to block and be ready
pandora already stated it, hope is what we fight with when all else is lost
He played a lot in the first fight, he made it look too easy. Good job champz.
Bruh you are really good at this. I never managed to defend all the attacks like you did😮
I was stunned af when I realized I was just parried by tyr
It feels like tyr arena is like deimos arena to
Yeah, it's true, but for me, it's more like the olympus rotound were we foutgh againt's zeus in the 2nd encounter before gaia show up
So with the katana how do u tell fake from real tyr,ive just been guessing and i did finally get him
I love the part when he says um huxen
Amazing skill
eres una bestia amigo!
I finished god of war ragnarok valhalla 100%
