Ω Hello everyone, this concludes all of my Level 1 no upgrade GMGOW story boss fights. This was the hardest challenge i have ever done in any of the recent GOW games for a multitude of reasons. The only challenge that even comes remotely close to this in terms of difficulty was Level 1 no upgrade Magni/Modi GMGOW+ no damage/checkpoints. Huge thanks to SMVR for helpful tips on how to deal with some of Odin’s attacks like the Crow’s. Odin can be very tricky and downright unfair at certain points. Also, Huge thanks to GMGOW+ and many others for being supportive of my channel and helping me reach a larger audience. Overall this is my favorite fight in God of war Ragnarok and my favorite in the series. I have many reasons why it’s my favorite but I’ve said enough. Congrats on the run. I have a few questions 1. Is it possible to get rid of the draiphnir hilt on a level 1 GMGOW run? this made me consider ending the run before realizing everything was a one shot without valor or wrath and moving on. 2.was this a boss no damage or a true no damage run? 3. What was the hardest encounter in the run as a whole? For me it was probably the moon room. 4. If this was no upgrades for the whole game and not just bosses what was the dominant strategy for regular encounters?
Flawless mate, perfected the fight to a T, well done! 13:28 this is my favourite setup move by Odin. There’s a variation that starts with crows, followed by homing orb and the bifrost lunge. It’s a wrap if you get restrained by the crows 😂

I don’t know if it’s a skill that’s unlocked but if you hold R2 on someone it activates some frost resistance or another affect that makes the spear glow and have a steam/smoke on its tip. I can’t tell if it’s on in the thumbnail but that could’ve added to it. This should enter a contest for best god of war picture of all time. It’s up there.
@@RAGE-OF-SPARTA-X In the thumbnail where the draupneir spear clashing against (Odin spear) grungnir is such good symbolism for both Odin and Kratos since the reason why both spears were made represent their user as both were made by huldra brother but the reason why their made is different , grungnir was made for Odin in mythology (not sure in game but probably made by the huldra brothers as well ) to prove they were the best black smith and earn the respect of aesir while draupnier was made to save Atreus , one weapon made out ego and greed ( just like Odin ) while draupnir was for a noble purpose and to protect other s( like Kratos )

idk why people doesnt really like odins voice, because imo his voice sounds fine to me, i think that i heard it more often, it felt like it grown on me, kinda epic i guess

The music in the final battle with Odin, Freya, Kratos and Atreus just take this fight to the next level. Every time I played I felt like I was in a movie lol my parents walked in on me playing and thought I was watching a movie 😂 Great gameplay by the way!
My vision of the fight is that Obin’s attention is primarily focused on Kratos as he is the biggest threat in the room and he knows that he can’t beat Kratos in close range where it requires strength, endurance, resilience, and combat expertise so he keeps his distance using magic and long range attacks as a way to disorient and overwhelm Kratos keeping him off balance as if one attack misses another might land and this is where Freya and Atreus come to play to disorient and draw Odin’s attention from Kratos for Kratos to close the distance between them to deal the blows that brings him down to submission
I think you also have to take into account, Odin gradually loses focus as the fight drags on as his anger and hatred overwhelm him. Thats why his magic AOE attack gets so wild and indirect in the last phase.
Ya no great job n all. The thing that irritates me about gow. Is NONE of the bosses actually fight. They just dah away continually u spend all ur time chasing them around. It’s really annoying. An what’s the point if rage can completely ignored an ur specials. I mean all they become is a cool animation. Ya no. Look , don’t get me all wrong here. I love the game. Let’s be real. Bro changed 4 phases and got his ass whooped by kratos going easy, a child, and a Valkyrie that doesn’t have all her belongings and isn’t at her best. The child and kratos was willingly to spare him yet he died to a dwarf . That’s crazy

@@marksantiago9841 For Zeus, it took one demigod equipped with blades belonging to the primordial flame of chaos, a great divine weapon of his brother, his son's power gloves, the speed shoes of Hermes and Apollo's head. And that was merely phase 1. Kratos also used the most powerful weapon in all of the games (the Blade of Olympus) to stab him and try to kill him alongside Gaia (who also trying to kill Zeus). After all of that, even with the most powerful weapon impaling him entirely, he still had one final fight and it took the power of hope imbued by Athena to beat him. So yes, it is one demi god but with all of this equipment and power it was far more than that. That doesnt discount Odin though. It took that same demi God equipped with a frost axe as powerful as Mjolnir, the same old blades belonging to chaos and an infinitely multiplying spear fighting alongside a demi human with transformation and soul magic and the Vanir Goddess who was the former Queen of the Valkyries to kill him. The Blade of Olympus along with the other equipment of the Greek Gods when used by Kratos together do outmatch even Freya and Atreus in terms of power but Odin did have a really tough match for him. Though, to be fair, they did also have a binding spell with his Ygdrassil hanging rope but it ended up helping him past phase 2 so it cancels out which is why I didnt mention it
@@marksantiago9841 That demi-god had Blades of Primordial Fire infused With Athena’s Blessing, the Power of Hope, Claws of Hades, Blade of Olympus, Nemean Cestus, Nemesis Whip and countless God Magic. He also needed Pandora to weaken Zeus, and still Zeus kicked his ass.

To be honest they aren’t difficult bosses I bet with practice and patience anyone could do it. It’s when the Hrolf simps wake up that we have a problem props though not trying to discredit you
This feels like the canon way Kratos actually fought Odin. Predicting his every move. He didn’t really need any of the upgrades. Tbh Kratos could have beat him with only his fists.
Yes! I love that the developers included dialogue for him casting spells, if you have a good ear you’ve probably noticed that Odin casts some similar spells as the Beserker’s although Odin’s are much more powerful.
While I like how asgard looks a lot, I wish the city was more gold due to how the aesir look like in general. The colors a bit too dull when compared to the valkryies, odin, the einherjar,etc. It gives it its own charm sure, and I like the stronghold/military camp vibe it has a lot due to the grittiness, but I think they should have replaced the silver with gold imo. Other than that love the look of it.
Btw, wasn’t odin described as a battle mage in 2018? I don’t get people who say he was described as a warrior(he was said he USED to be, but not currently).
Me personally I don’t think Odin was very hands on with prior wars with the Vanir and Jotnar, i would suspect he had the other Aesir fight for him while he coordinated their strategy along with mimir’s help. Odin just seems like the type to sit behind his desk while his servants die in battle for him.
@@RAGE-OF-SPARTA-XI would assume he did fight as well, but didn’t want to get his hands ever too dirty since he has other manners to attend to usually, since he is a powerhouse nonetheless.
Really the only tip i can give, don’t give up, if you’re up close and he goes for the crow attack, dodge them and if he teleports completely out of your field of view, he is directly behind you.
I agree, they put much more emphasis on writing with GOW 2018 and GOWR than they did with GOW 2-GOW 3, Gameplay wise I’d say GOW 2 and GOW 3 are better.
Ngl, I thought odin was a really cool spectacle, mainly in his last phase. Him summoning elemental meteoroids, having big ass ice laser beams, him making elemental shields, him having a flamethrower book,etc.
Yes, i am very excited to eventually fight him again on NG+. The order i want to do the next few vids goes as follows. Gna which I’m still working on. Hrolf Thor Then Odin. After that I haven’t decided which fights ill do next, we’ll see.
@@RAGE-OF-SPARTA-X he’s very solid but I do have some critiques,one freya and atreus fucking kill this man,two is that at times his ai is not as aggresive as I’d like it to be and three and last one I wish he would summon a clone to do the ground earthquake attack he does at the end of his first phase so that he can continue fighting us(would add a lot of tension imo) other than that very solid final boss. Very excited to see what they do with him in ng+.

I feel like this should have been the actual length of the real fight in the game. It felt too fast at times.

I agree, they put much more emphasis on writing with GOW 2018 and GOWR than they did with GOW 2-GOW 3, Gameplay wise I’d say GOW 2 and GOW 3 are better.

This makes boss fights feel much more challenging when u do it like this cause it feels so fun to do

Ngl, I thought odin was a really cool spectacle, mainly in his last phase. Him summoning elemental meteoroids, having big ass ice laser beams, him making elemental shields, him having a flamethrower book,etc.

@@RAGE-OF-SPARTA-X he’s very solid but I do have some critiques,one freya and atreus fucking kill this man,two is that at times his ai is not as aggresive as I’d like it to be and three and last one I wish he would summon a clone to do the ground earthquake attack he does at the end of his first phase so that he can continue fighting us(would add a lot of tension imo) other than that very solid final boss. Very excited to see what they do with him in ng+.

This is the most extreme challenge I’ve ever seen. 100% on par with the likes of those guys. This was amazing.
When he is in the air, you can still attack him. It’s just a BIGASS risk reward so it requires a good chunk of skill.
