Generally junior balconies do not have couches, although this room is listed as one and has a couch. Be aware that your experience may not be exactly the same.

The sofa bed is amazing. We did not test ours out, now I kinda wish I did. I also loved how you could fold up a shelf in the closet or lower ones that were pinned up. I was able to completely customize my closet space. 🤩
Oh, that is awesome! We did not make adjustments in our closet. I wish we would have done that! We had such a joy meeting you two. We definitely hope we get to sail together again!

Thank you for this tour. Due to Covid-19’s I had to cancel this cruise. However I have the pleasure of booking for 2023 and this is the room I was given. I was under the impression that it was super small with no seating. So because of your blog my mind is at ease.
Yes. I honestly think this is a regular balcony but somehow got listed under junior balcony. So it sort of a "secret" upgrade cabin. :D

Doodie Hutchison a cove balcony is affordable, you dont necessary have to have a junior balcony. Go for it
Skip the balcony and book an inside square cabin. They're huge.

I will be staying in 16210 which is also a Junior Balcony. This video was very helpful. I was actually surprised to see the sofa since it wasn't mentioned on the GoCCL Stateroom Descriptions for any of the Junior Balcony staterooms. It looks like the only difference is the cabin is a few feet shorter than a Category 8 Balcony.
The sofa threw us off too! Lol Seems like a regular balcony cabin to us

Did you like that cabin with the view looking down over the hot tub and deck?? Looks like it can get pretty noisey with no privacy.
Looks exactly the same as the regular balcony I had. What was the difference?
Is the shelf in the first closet a hideaway shelf? It looks like it is held up by a lock but can be released into a down position to use as an extra shelf. Great video and thanks for the information!

I had a regular balcony on Mardi Gras and I can’t see a difference.

For a junior balcony I thought this was supposed to be smaller lol I just booked a junior balcony and they told me there were no sofas in the room only a bed??
is this really a junior balcony because the jubilee shows no couch in the junior balcony rooms
We just booked a Junior Balcony on the Carnival Celebration. I was under the impression that the room was smaller and there is no couch in a Junior Balcony room, but I do see a couch here which is great! So is it just a little less square footage that makes it Junior? 🤔
This cabin really threw us off and I am honestly still not sure! It was listed as a "junior balcony" and booked at that price. But when we got inside, it looks like a regular balcony cabin. We are thinking that maybe it was a mislabel on Carnival's part?

Hi Chris. No. Not all jr balcony staterooms have a sofa. I am going to have to do a little research to find out how to tell which ones have sofa.

So that is the mystery question! We are thinking that this room (may) be mislabeled by Carnival and it's actually a standard balcony.
Is this really a Junior balcony room or a regular balcony room. Everything I'm reading, and I have a Junior balcony coming up, is that there is no couch in said room. It has a tiny desk and thats it.
Its definitely confusing! When you look at the deck plan, our cabin shows to be a little bit smaller. I tried to see if there were other youtube videos out there of junior balonies and I found 1 and it also has a couch in it. (cabin 12500) th-cam.com/video/_FuAPYUwy7I/w-d-xo.html
Maybe there is a difference between 7X and 7Y category? But that wouldn't really make sense either. If you find out, let us know!
Cabins are awesome, BUT - Why is it that cabins, with so many power outlets, don’t have outlets on both sides of the bed for those passengers that require sleep aid equipment like C-PAP’s or P-PAPS. These are being used by more people every day. It would great to not have to string extension cords across the cabin for someone to trip on. Since the cruise ship will not allow you to bring your own extension cord, they have to provide them. That has to be painful to store and keep up with all those things.

Was just on the cruise. Bathroom is way to small. Not easy to dress in this bathroom.
Definitely not easy to change in that bathroom! lol
Sorry, but the cabin looks like a regular balcony cabin. I think The Mardi Gras has small cabins from what I have seen. It is a nice cabin, but I would expect bigger. We had a Ocean Balcony Suite on The Magic and it was so much bigger, even the balcony had a lounger plus the 2 chairs. Just sayin, I am not impressed with the cabins on that ship!
