God I love the mutual respect between these guys, I know people get sick of the circlejerk of awards but something about great actors genuinely recognizing each other's greatness in moments like this really makes me smile.
My two favorite actors!!!!! At last, a video where we get to see both these actors together. However, i do wish that the interviewer could ask some questions to Viggo.
To be fair, I think the uploader just edited out Viggo's interview, since at the beginning of the second clip, the interviewer says "Let's get Daniel over here."
I'm not sure DDL's process would have been entirely compatible with how they had to make the trilogy but he probably could have been an epic Aragorn. Viggo's performance is god-tier, of course.
Ugh, yeah the interviewer at the end is incredibly rude. Daniel Day-Lewis is amazing but you've got another wonderful actor Viggo Mortensen standing right next to him and he just gets ignored. Glad they both stayed classy though.
What is up with the interviewer? Obviously Daniel was going to win but dont say "everyone is saying your going to win" right infront of another canidates face(although Viggo was very cool about it as was Daniel) and also saying that Daniel is welcome there beacause hes british but why should have matter? Both him and Viggo should have been equely welcomed!
That final journalist should be thankful because Daniel Day Lewis was basically doing his job for him and getting him celebrities to talk to - first Viggo, then Samantha Morton.

I agree. They are actors, not sportsmen. I think all that these award things should be about is getting together and respecting the work actors, directors etc,.. do. But like most things the media(TV) try and turn it into the Olympics. and then it makes the whole thing seem tacky. I kind of wish actors of their calibre wouldn't bother turning up. :)
1:17 the reason he wasn't nominated for an academy award was that one of the songs was ineligible because it was partly from a different much much older song.
If Leonardo Dicaprio was there as well the world may have imploded! lol... Sorry to mention someone unrelated to the video but them three guys are starring in some of the greatest movies of all time!
agreed. defnitely doesnt look like an easy job. i wouldnt even consider getting a job that is related to celebrities. i would rather have my shot to become one.
i loved the movie there will be blood and DDL was magnificent in that movie....but i this one time i was more impressed by viggo and i really wanted him to win for eastern promises.
DiCaprio is good. But you're right these two are on a different level. I think Christian Bale is someone who could reach that level, hopefully there's more "machinist-esq" roles haha.. {IMO}
