My owners manual says 91 or higher 87 is ok to do once or twice but thats it. It doesnt give you the hemi tick right away it happens over time and yes it doesnt always happen but its more of a possibility using 87 . I own a 2018 durango RT AWD im making the change from 87 to 91 today ive been doing some research
You can put 87 in it I got my rt Durango in 2018 and I’m just now starting to put supreme in it I’ve been using regular the whole time it doesn’t mess up anything it just makes it slower lol

Isn't it a 24.5 gallon tank? You were al.ost empty and it stopped at 17 gallons? Btw I saw a scientific documentary on the 3 different types of gas and it makes no difference in performance or economy. They tried the 3 in a Corvette c8 no difference between the 87 or 89 in a Durango. Stick with 87
thats bad info. engines are designed for different levels of octane and will perform better when using the proper octane designed foer the engine, also to avoid dangerous knock.
@@KeenEye I have a Volvo XC90 which requires only premium fuel. I took it to my tune guy and he has a Dyno. I tried 87 and 93 premium. 87 I was getting about 386hp. Then 93 I was getting 391 not huge. I ran 87 fill up and got 413 miles. Ran with 93 and full tank I got 398. I never heard a knock. So I then ran it for a month. Still never heard a knock. Might be American cars that do it? Not sure. I'm just saying what I did with my Volvo
