Haha, if you want to get better fuel consumption in the Durango, you have to drive it in cruise control. No down shifting, drive it as though you have your grandparents in the backseat and your transporting a three tiered wedding cake in the back. Good luck with that. More beautiful footage.

I guess the AC Frua is getting 12-14 MPG with that big 428 Ford engine... a dream trip for sure

@@itsjoel So deciding between an RT (14/22, 17 combined) and an SRT (13/19) that appears that it's not a drastic difference in fuel economy if you drive both of them the same way mostly? And not enough to not get the SRT if that's what you want just because it appears to get a tad more fuel mileage or am I wrong and it will get a good bit more fuel mileage?

You will only get 20+ MPG going downhill in eco mode. I have done a good bit of testing in mine and on a flat surface you will get the best mpg's of about 19 tops at around 65 mph. As soon as hills are factored in it gets killed down to about 15-16.
Edit: Also high elevation or DA absolutely kills the power in these 392's. The difference at sea level is insane.

@@sandmansimms5704 SRT no question. it is 100% worth the decreased fuel mileage.

@@justperry5473 but the thing is I don't necessarily want and need this vehicle to be fast or super fast I mean I just like you know I like it having it there if needed but to be honest I have an 04 Terminator have a 94 Cobra and I have another mustang so I mean I have a good bit of vehicles and so I need to be honest looking at the SRT I believe it has the interior that I like the same as the hellcat that I looked at the other day so that might put me in the mood of just going ahead and getting an srt. But I didn't want you to think that I am trying to get the fastest thing and I'm going to be driving it like it's the fastest thing LOL I don't even kill my cars to be honest I blow them out sometime. But for the most part I drive kind of average or easy a good bit as well and don't you know play around too much on the road. So I will need the SUV family vehicle road trips and stuff like that for the most part I want it to be that. I wanted a Yukon Denali SUV but they are too big for average stuff other than trips and stuff and it's a whole lot more money

@@sandmansimms5704 In that case you should go for an R/T and save your money. You can option an R/T to look very similar on the inside, minus all of the Alcantara I believe.
If you want a step up from that you should look at the tow-n-go R/T. It has the SRT brakes, suspension and transmission tuning with the 5.7.
If you are not sure that you need the extra power then saving your money and going with the R/T is the move for sure. When I bought mine I did not consider anything but the SRT because the Hellcat Durango was not out yet and I was only interested in the Durango because of the power that the SRT model offered.

@@justperry5473 okay sounds good man that's good intel. I know a definite must is a Harman kardon 19 speaker system I went and listened to to an RT Plus the other day that had the I think 9 speaker with a sub the Alpine and I had already listened to the Harman kardon and my son's charger so I had to compare those to so I definitely have to have the HK 19 speaker setup. I think the RT premium should be fine for me but then again if it's an SRT that has the HK and a good deal with low miles whenever I try and get one later in the year I'll have to pull the trigger likely LOL
