Oh man I didn’t realize a T30 would fit. I did mine a few weeks ago, but also did the lines, fluids, rotors, and pads at the same time. Everything together is incredible, but not having the firewall flex is very noticeable on its own. You are definitely right on it being tough with the stock springs to get the bolt in the well. Stellar video man!
I just struggled through this on my 20 STI. After playing tetris for a bit where the walls have razor blades on them, I decided to try from below instead. Since you have to put the car up and take off the wheel, I did that then crawled under and did it from the bottom. It should be noted that if have the TBW undertray instead of the OEM plastic down there, not sure if that makes a difference, but boy was it way easier to do this since you can actually see and don't have all the crap up above. Also, do yourself a favor, get a mini ratchet which can accept allen bits.
Good install. I recommend trying the DIY fender vent mod for your next project. It will make the fake vents on the fenders functional. Plus, it doesn't cost you anything other than some time!
Did this job with out removing the wheel. I didn’t notice any difference. Was the same as on my STI 2009. I only noticed a difference on a Forester 2.5 XT.
I’ll do an update video but I definitely can notice a difference under harder braking. The brake pedal feels more direct snd precise. For the money, it’s a worthy mod.
Just a heads up, if you have a VA WRX, you don't need to go into the wheel well like the STI. I'm not too sure about the 15-17' but on my 19' wrx, it all installs from the engine bay
The STI installation looks worse than what I went through with on my 2015 WRX a while back. I didn’t have to worry about fuel lines. Yes there is less room with struts. I managed to thread the fender well bolt with the tire on. Thank goodness 😅 for socket extensions that’s all I have to say. Speaking for myself a few ‘f’ bombs were uttered during this install. 🤣🤣

Love Perrin, I had this on my GVB as well as the Pitch Stop mount which helped the weak point of the engine mount.
Nice video! These really do make a world of difference.

Looks like a great quality piece, even though i don’t have an Subaru this makes me pumped to get a brace for my Focus ST. Awesome video.

Nice 👍 🤩
Just install the Torque Solutions on my 19 sti...what a PITA. Barely any space and hand got cut up 😂

Under harder braking, it can definitely be felt. Normal everyday driving, there isn’t Much if a difference.
Im gonna try t handles for the install when i get mine
If you can please let us know if you notice any difference. Thanks for the video!

cusco's or torque solution's are much easier and less painful
I don't doubt it!
Just installed the torque solution on my wrx this week. It took me about 10 minutes. Very easy install and you don't have to remove a wheel.
Wrx installs are a bit different than the STI.
