I can confirm, once I begun using assignments in my tracks, the game changed. A lot of my drops were Possible with just manual input, but I’d more often than not mess them up. With the assignments, not only could I guarentee I’d execute them 100% of the time, I could Also make drops which simply wouldn’t have been possible without assignments. I’m not finished this vid yet, but one tip I can give If you’re using assignements on mk2 only, and assign them to a track button, go yhe CTL FUNC (next to assign settings), and set it to LED mode (very last option). This allows you to colour code your assignments to more easily remeber what option does what
Hey JayD! Dude it should be possible yes. I did a quick search and there doesn't seem to exist any earphone that can do this out of the box. One solution I've found is to use a 3.5mm bluetooth audio transmitter and plug it to the RC-505 with a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter. Just a disclaimer, I've never done this before so I don't know if it would work but it definitely could

hello @LoopArtist Arthur! Please help me, I can't fix the problem for more than a week. I connect a MIDI keyboard to the loop station. In the settings of the USB I put "LINE OUT" - the loop station records only the microphone, the sounds of the keyboard are in the headphones, but the loop station does not record them(((. With the "LOOP IN" settings - the MIDI keyboard is already recorded but records all the sounds from the PC and the looping effects of the station are also overlaid on the audio in the video. I tried to set the "INPUT LEVEL" from 100% to 0%, but it just completely turns off the sound from the PC and if i need to select the sound of the instrument in Ableton, then i need to turn it on again. also noticed that if I casually record some sound from my PC to the loopstation, while recording music, some micro-whistles appear in the entire track and I need to reboot the loopstation ((( please help ❤
Hey Arthur thanks for the videos mate! I just upgraded from the original RC505 and I'm having a hard time to assign this MK2 to the same Foot Controler I was using perfectly before, the Beringher FCB1010. Do you know where can I find more infos about the CC msgs and how to proper make this Midi controler works on the MK2? any help would be much appreciated, obrigado :)
I have been trying to assign knob 1 to mute the external mic for a couple hours now and i can’t get it to work so far at all. I’m going into seemingly all the correct settings then writing it to the memory but nothing. Very frustrating shit ! I don’t want to have to menu dive to turn down the mic , i just want it off immediately when i need that.
Hey Arthur! Thank you for posting this video. If I'm using the MIDI out on the RC 505 MK2 for time syncing other devices, Will the blackstar pedal affect the midi clock signal leaving the RC 505 going into the other device's midi in? Thanks!
Hey Arthur, thanks for the help you have given me. What would be your solution to quickly turn the microphone on/off. its fine to have all my other instruments always on, but the mics give feedback and or bleed. What would you suggest for MIC ON, MIC OFF.
Hey my friend! No worries. I'm glad to help. You can actually assign some settings to the 4 main knobs below the display. One of the settings is Mic Mute. This way you can essentially turn it on/off by simply turning whichever knob you assign it to
Hi I just got the MK2 but there is no driver for Mac Os 10.13 High Sierra only for 10.15 Catalina and above do you know how to connect to the 10.13 or is it not supported thanks
I have 505 mk2 . I play cajon . So while I press rec button on track 1 and take my hands back to play cajon and when I stop playing cajon and press stop button . The gap between pressing the play and rec button and hands back on cajon . There is a gap . Which is also a part of loop . I am not getting a perfect seamless loop
Really good video! So if I have a midi device like a launchpad, I would configure what each key in the launchpad would do by using assigns? Or people do it in some other way? Cause I see people using launchpads and doing way more stuff than it would be possible with only 16 assigns.
Also, your videos are so good for beginners like me. Congrats for the job =) (and I noticed your accent and name sound really Brazilian, so "ajudou demais o vídeo, vlws demais mano")
OK I figured it. By engineering and design the assignment menu is Memory patch specific so can't be Globally set for all Memory location patches. You can Write/Save your Memory settings to a current Memory location, then WRITE/save that same Memory patch with all your programmed Assignments, to multiple Memory locations, as a sort of "template patch". That feels very workaroundish but it works. How do you it though?
Is it possible to set reverse and halfspeed on effects in some simple way? I want to record a track and have it reverse and halfspeed. Moeer Ocean can do it by default, but it can't synchronize the loop, that's why I'm thinking about the 505
Hey man! I've checked and it is totally possible. You just have to assign 2 different buttons, one for reverse and another for halfspeed. Thanks for this question btw, I might do an in-depth video about it ;)
@@Jamick_Elektronika there's also another way. You can use a control pedal and assign it to reverse the current track. Then you go to the assign menu set source to the same pedal and as target set double speed. Now when you push the pedal, both functions will trigger at the same time. Alternatively, you don't even need a pedal. In the Co teil function settings you can reassign for example the track button to reverse the track and in the assign settings you also assign the track button to the double time effect. When you now hit the track button, both functions will go off.
I have two problems with the metronome: 1) I can't regulate the volume of the metronome. 2) In the settings i rooted metronome on headphones only, but when i record the sound on my laptop through the USB cable, metronome recording as well. Do you have any solutions? Thank you!
Hey there! Sorry for the late answer. You can definitely regulate the metronome's volume. Just press "enter" and it should take you to the mixer where you can change the "rhythm out", that's the metronome. For the routing, try looking into "menu>output>routing>input/rhythm" and disable "rhythm" on the "main" page. Hope that helps :)
Have just bought a RC 505 MK2. The OLED screen does not seen consistent. The edges of the screen are lighter than the centre area. I have adjusted the contrast and still differences. Are there others with this type of fault with their screen? Or, is this normal?
Hey Terry! Welcome to the live looping world. Yeah, the screen is like that. If I'm not mistaken it's a LCD screen instead of OLED but yeah... it's kinda crappy
Thanks for the heads up. I have spoken to the vendor, they have requested photos. It is pretty awful and not what I would expect from pro gear. Let's see what they say. If it is like that for all of the Mk2s then I can live with it.

Fantastic! Is there a cc to mute incoming audio (ideally at the end of the loop recording)?

Just a quick correction, the expression pedal you have demod has a TR cable, not a TRS.
