Hey there! You do need a listening device, ie: headphone or speakers, which you plug to one of the outputs (usually "phone" or "main"). They all connect with a 1/4 inch connector so if your speaker doesn't have this kind of port you might want to consider looking for 1/4 inch adapters. Having the outputs connected to something, if there's no sound yet you should look wether your mic is a condenser mic or not, if it is you need to turn on the phantom power within the RC's settings. Hope that helps :)

Your explanation to the Lo-Fi was a little strange. It is not on the RC-505 or related to the genre (I don't even know if that is a genre. Everything is a genre these days. Is it the same as lo-fi hiphop?). Lo-Fi just mean Low Fidelty (low quality) as opposed to Hi-Fi meaning High Fidelty (high quality). In this case it is just a couple of things to degrade you (I guess maybe only sample rate and bitrate reduction. Distortion?). In general it can be anything that degrades and makes your sound lo-fi (vinyl hiss, tape emulation, tape hiss, tape saturator, distortion, samplerate reduction, bitrate reduction, etc.). It has all been around many centuries before the genre. 🙂 Good video. 👍🙂

We all know that there is only 5 tracks. Well I have an idea to have 4 samples (vocal samples) in one track and have the loopstation to play them just one at a time (like sample 1, 2, 3 or 4).
Here is how it works (please give more precise instructions):
1: Have samples recorded at one take (as bars 1-4, in one track), here is example of vocals bar1: "hey", bar2: "yo", bar3: "tits", bar4: "yolo" (all in one track). If played normally it would say "hey to tits yolo".
2: Use Beat Scatter or other (?) Track FX to make the track repeat just one bar that is chosen (like bar2 "yo") and we can change the wanted line (/bar) as wanted with that.
I think this is doable. What settings I could use? Do someone have the pattern graph for the Beat Scatter patterns? Does Beat Scatter work for this or is there better Track FX to use? Would be awesome if it will work well with one shotting.
Would be awesome if someone could give more precise information. ❤
Slowgear is prob the only fx nobody ever uses in the beatbox loop community
Tbf I've used it quite a bit. Putting it after a tremolo or slicer gives it a bit of coolness
I guess pretty many loopers use it for the sidechain effect
Ahhh …. So sustainer is just compression and EQ. I thought it was time-based 🙈
