- Fix Internet Connection Issues in Windows 10
Having trouble with your computer internet connection? want to reset network settings? these commands below can resolve a lot of internet connection problems and i will show you step by step on how to resolve and repair your pc network adaptor settings.
Reset the TCP/IP stack:
Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
Type netsh int ip reset and press Enter.
Release the IP address:
Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
Renew the IP address:
Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
Flush and reset the DNS client resolver cache:
Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
You might want to try and update your network adopter or roll back to a previous version.
You can also uninstall and reinstall your network adaptor to see if this fix's the problem.
Also try and disable your antivirus and firewall to see if you get internet access. Another thing to try is to boot into safemode with networking to see if you get internet access.
If your still having problems with network card and you have tried all the above, boot to a Linux live cd and see if you get internet access if you do then the network card is working OK and its a windows setting.

My Asus gaming laptop turn off wifi in around 30 min and if I connect again it says can't connect to this network and then wifi icon disappears..If I do same like in this video ...I am just afraid what if windows got erased.

For the people who have just discovered this video, I was having connection problems with my laptop anytime i left the house. Worked fine at home but not in public places. I did exactly as suggested in this video and the first part, the reset part was all that was needed and it fixed itself very easily. Give it a try people, it worked for me.

Update*- so the cmd command ipconfig / renew worked for me. However after i turn off my computer the same problem happens again resulting in me having to do the cmd commands all over again

everytime i start up my pc my internet is turned off so i have to right click on the internet thingy and troubleshoot the problem and it will fix it if it does not fix it i have to troubleshoot it around 5times before it works again why is this?

Hi, my game desktop had some problems and stopped running. I rebooted the computer. Now it doesn't have internet connection and the network connections folder is empty . On the network setting page, it doesn't have "status" or "Ethernet." . While I tried the second option you suggested, at the ipconfig/release stage,"the operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for this operation". And there is no network adapter under the Device Manager (It was there earlier today, and I uninstall each one of them. Now the whole folder is gone) . The trouble shooting result says there is no adapter. Any suggestions? Thanks.

When I restart the computer hangs on the restart screen with the spinning circle and I have to hold the power button and when I get back on there’s no sidebar option to reset network

I just resolved my issue thanks to the troubleshooter.
I had my vpn on killswitch mode, which does not alloy internet connection if the vpn is not connect. But I was not even logged on my vpn account for days. And suddenly it prevented my to go on internet.
The problem was solved immediately when I unistalled it.
I have had to do this literally a couple of hours ago. Having done the rest, I was horrified to discover that in Device Manager, although my network hardware was showing, they all had yellow exclamation marks and would not reinstall the drivers. HOWEVER, after a second reboot, all of my connectivity was restored. So, don't panic if this happens to you - just restart the PC. (I used the reset method)
If all of the WLAN Miniport's had the yellow exclamation mark was showing on all of the drivers you could've just disabled and enabled all of them worked for mine, And don't worry rebooting is also cool too.. But if you find a fix can you involve of teaching me how? Thanks.

Hey Brian, first and foremost thanks for the straight forward video. A lot of videos tackling this issue are very messy and hard to understand (coming from a normal guy who doesn’t know if what he’s doing is going to hurt his computer)
But I’ll get to the point. I have tried numerous amount of attempts and hours into trying to fix my computer. I tried uninstalling network drivers, updating them no luck. Going to my manufacturers website and updating all those drivers, no luck. WLAN confit restart, no luck. Even downloading the repair tool from this video. I’m constantly stuck on the Ethernet symbol with no luck. WiFi icon is not hidden, it just isn’t anywhere to be found. I use this computer for work and am in dire need of help. Any input you have would be appreciated!

Hey man. My problem is I use a proxy In work but when I put it in a particular laptop it works for around a 5 minutes or so and then the proxy disappears and I need to type it in again. How to fix this ?

THX! Fist nothing worked for me, no reset, no cmd commands, no virus check or ccleaner, nothing. But what fixed the problem for me was installing Netadapterrepair and running all the stuff that is on the first page. Now my internet works. It used to take multiple minutes every time I started my pc to connect to internet, now its instant. :)

I have an alienware 17 r3 and I was getting fast speeds until I upgraded to windows 10 pro I think something is wrong in my settings. I contacted my isp and they said nothing is wrong with my modem. Success. Tried and failed with several other videos. Only thing you might add for other nontech types like myself is when to restart the computer. I did the whole set of cmd prompt commands which then did not work. All I needed was the winsock reset. Thanks much.

win 10 is automated mostly, on xp u had to install each driver by yourself and it was pain in the ars

My internet was slow for days, had the latest adapter driver , but after I uninstalled it and restarted the pc it installed the same driver but my internet speed was fast and fixed. It's weird but it worked, tnx!

I have problem and its when i try to open a program it tells me "Internet Error,Could not authorize.Please try again later" and no let me open the program do you know why its happening and its only with this program.

My problem i can’t find a fix in is the network “intel interface (WiFi adapter name) has bequn resetting and the reason is the network driver request that it to be reset“. When that happens the WiFi stops responding and when you reset your computer the adapter is gone and when I reinstall the same driver the internet just doesn’t remember the driver. I did all the possible solutions like updating my driver and I have dns problems, and security center error code DC040780. Please help me ;(
