A very short one but a contact is a contact I'm sticking to that.

Another Nice Contact. That's one heck of a bounce. Somehow that radio looks familiar. LOL Folks put the Anytone Radios Down as junk and it's the farthest thing from the truth. My Quad 5n first model is a nice radio and I get contact all over the world on 11 meters. I have a low-power model and am not sure about how the newer models and the 6666 work but my radio runs fine.

I have to say I really like the receive on the Quad 5.. it seems to pick up those faint voices you get at the bottom end so stations that give zero signal can be heard quite clearly.. rather like the Stryker, I'm using the Sadelta on it and the sharpshooter and I've had very good feedback.. I also agree with you people do call them but that's mainly because they try to justify spending lots of dosh on a high end hf set but tbh some of these export radios actually receive better on 11 meters.

    Classic little contact there Glen…👍

Thanks Neil, the skip was sporadic and erratic in and out so fast, you would start a qso then seconds later it would be gone and also coming in from many other places around the Cape so it was difficult to get any sort of solid contact. Unexpected for sure.

Nice, you are cranking them out! Skip has been odd for sure! 🤔Is that a new feature with those 😶‍🌫radios that it tells you very nice in a woman's voice after a great contact? 73 Glen 🤙

Did you get it sorted out Glen or did they replace it?

    • @DeltaXray444

I have no idea why it stopped transmitting.. I had the phone ready to speak to the supplier (Knights) just before I did I fired the radio back up and it worked just fine.. I've been using it for five days straight and the radio has been faultless.. I'm happy about that, the receive is incredible and I've had really positive reports on the audio.

@@DeltaXray444I noticed you tend to lean at the newer radios as you're cousin in the nor east of the union likes to hold on to classics
Between the two of you there isn't a used radio available😂😂😂😂😂

The reason is that those much sorted old classic radios you guy's have over there are very few and very hard to obtain in the UK, so for the most part we have to use what is available.. I have purchased many radios from the US but as soon as customs see they are illegal in the UK they are confiscated by them.. you can only lose so much money before you give up.. I have ordered and lost a Washington, three cobra 148's two 3900 superstars and others.. on a good day someone may get lucky and a few slip through.
