Thanks friend, I got you logged on my channels to contact, always listening out for you when Ontario comes in, that's around afternoon till late evening UK time.
@@ontariocbclub wa IMG back at you friend, I've added your name and will be listening out for you.. Ontario comes in good for me after two pm UK time until late evening around eight at the moment but the skip is moving about and will start to be earlier as the weeks go forward. Cheers 73
Wow Cousin we was talking. If you look at the drafts I will get my side uploaded tonight. That was contact #5. This is why they gave me the handle the Ghost. I come out of nowhere. lol
You mean a ghost like Scrooge you tight git 😂😂 Number five already another 195 to go to make it level.. what am I saying lol.. haha no pressure this year we will take them as they come 😉😁☺️
Hi there Glen. Iam really gutted about missing the band conditions last night. It was absolutely flat here all day yesterday. And didnt bother to switch on last night 😢. Well done with the contact to that guy across the pond sorry i forget his name now 🤔😂🤣 take care bud .73s WR456 🇬🇧
Hey Richard, yesterday was dreadful my signal meter never rose above 1.. Yeah that guy no idea who it was some creepy fella that follows us around but I feel sorry for him as his antenna only works in one direction.. unfortunately it's in our direction 😂😂
Hey Matty, yes it came in late but very annoying when those guys stepped on us. Drew also has a video of the contact im looking forward to see it from his side.
Cousin I want to thank you for doing a great job in making all these contacts possible. I can hear Kate some on your receive. It was a hard run with Kate but still a contact. OMG, we are getting the contacts.
Always a pleasure my friend, I am sure there will be many more contacts over the coming months so be prepared an keep the batteries topped up and on standby.. Kate does rise up with the groundwave I just wish we could have a clear run with no interruptions, it'll happen one day. Keep the fires lit it's going to get hot.
Great conditions and audio. It's really terrible when other stations don't hear a QSO or just decide to try and over run someone to make a contact for themselves. I'm all about making every contact I can but I'm not going to ruin someone elses QSO for my contact. 73 friends. ✌✌
Hi Steve.. yes a few years ago there was this thing called courtesy but sadly nowadays it's out the window.. you will never educate porridge.. I know they heard me because one of them qsk'd.. ahh well it is what it is I tried to ask politely you can't lead a horse to water. 🤷🏼♂️
What time at night you guys getting these contacts your popcorn static is nill and those signals are 100% i am only getting our western states today around 930-1030 am ( and the usual so american stations at least they are apparently speaking the mexican dialect) Stop moving round guys when i thinkyou on 37 or so you go to 41-42 and if i think you are on the 40s you are actually on the 30s ( kinda need the old minimal channel radios )
Hi George, there are a few friends that sit in a group so we know or can tell when the skip is working for both sides of the pond then we go to 27.415 lsb and put calls out.. sometimes it works and other times it doesn't work so well.. so we have to time it and give each other an heads up when the skip is working. But recently the time has been anywhere between 1pm and 2pm American time and that would equate to around six or seven o'clock in the evening UK time.
@@DeltaXray444 that's been the times I find best contacts as well lucky the xyl is up and about fully again after double knee replaced and her 6th spinal fusion repair this last week she has been watching friends of the family young children and then also took on watching another family friend's house her ex husband kinda went to the dark side since last couple years of their marriage ( I trained him in CATV tech when he gott his job as auditor in cable going yard to yard verifying services and wanted to advance in the industry ) think the stress was too much for him they worried he may damage their house since the wife now has new boy friend ,I get on pretty regular daily since she doesn't come home to put her feet up and relax her back once this all comes to end I won't get the time to get on again so gotta ta kk e advantage 🤣🤣🤣😵🤯
Glen you are all Running power its easy a bit like fishing in a barel. If someone were to shoot into that barrel, they'd be guaranteed to hit one. its the same analogy with CB radio its easy with power . more of a skill when someone running a legal radio and legal power makes it across the pound. more of an achievement in my honest opinion. not taking away from your copy Glen .but its why those who stick to legal power and legal radios find it difficult to get out. we play by the game others dont. its a bit like the wild west sadly.
Radio power is a lot less than running big amps, I use many export radios the same for most folks on SSB. I understand what you are saying but I can talk to my cousin in America on 1.8 watts and give him a full signal, it's been done on many occasions when we have been testing, I run nothing compared to what some people run.. a station each side of the Atlantic can both run five kilowatts on horizontal pointed at each other and still not make a contact. It's always mother nature that does the hard work.. I've spent a fortune on antennas testing different antennas over the years but realised through experience that it's not just about having an swr at 1.1 there are so many other factors that make an antenna work, getting the distance on bounce and how to perfect the height at which makes the antenna see the horizon matters a lot depending on location.. I've experimented with linear's over the years too and sat in nets running a lot of power but the guy down the street will give the contact a better signal running radio power.. it's all swings and roundabouts at the end of the day and some of my furthest and best contacts have been made running radio power with a non resonant antenna or on a much smaller mobile antenna when driving around.
Nice job! Coffee can brothers! 73 Glen
Hey Gazza hope you are well.. that piece of string Grizzly Adams has got on his bar of soap he's hooked it to my antenna 😂😂😂
