    It's not mentioned but you have to take off the skid guard first and also the torque for the engine bolts is 55 NM.. That is from the service manual, 45 Nm is for bolts on the back of the engine, 55 for the front. It's a little dangerous to make a mounting guide that beginner mechanics could use, that does not stress the fact that the engine bolts need to be done with a torque wrench.

    • @Outbackmotortek
      @Outbackmotortek  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your reply. The service manual refers to the OEM torque specs. We supply our own bolts.

    • @sayuas4293
      @sayuas4293 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Outbackmotortek If Honda specifies 55 nm torque for those bolts, don't you think that it could be important for the long term health of the engine? I'm a little nervous about it either way, either I torque it to 55 nm which is what the engine seems to have been engineered for, but the bolts might fail, or I torque it to 45 nm and it might cause problems with the engine in the long term. Maybe OM should supply bolts that can safely be torqued at 55 nm?

      I almost had the same issue today and thanks to this comment I checked thoroughly and fixed it. If you had the same "issue" as I did, then the spacers go between the left plate and the frame. From right to left you have bolt head, OEM washer, right plate, long spacer (kit), frame, OEM spacer, engine, OEM spacer, frame, small spacer (kit) plate, OEM washer, nylock nut.
