My favorite part (and the part I dread the most) is seeing their reaction to Da Bomb. I get that "uh oh" feeling every time they reach that part of the board.
I like how in the beginning of the interview, David looks almost depressed, looking off-camera and away from Sean but he perked up between the 2nd and 3rd wing when he realized this wasn't just another typical interview.
Definetly one of the top 5 Hot Ones interviews. David looked like he was throughly enjoying it and interested where as some actors/actresses seem like they were "forced" to be on. They had some dope chemistry and I defiently look at David Harbour differently now :)
People who interview celebrities should binge watch this show and learn a little something. Sean is the only one I see that's neither vapid not trying to get a headline by being a dick. He does his research and tailors every interview to the person in front of him, and asks amazing questions.
Something that we've all noticed is that he also doesn't get hung up on unanswered questions. If it doesn't resonate with the guest, than it wouldn't be worth the time anyway.
i’ve noticed that he is the best interviewer and the hot wings definitely puts the two on a more personal level, taking the celebrity out of them and the real person out. it’s such a great series and sean is the best.
He’s figured out the easiest way to make someone interesting is to appeal to what the subject enjoys discussing. Not what he thinks the audience wants enjoy. Anyone’s natural or unrestrained personality is attractive to most non crazy people. I completely agree with you.
Agreed. I felt a little bad when he was putting himself down because he has a a rugged charm about him that makes him attractive. I also have self-image issues though so I can kinda get where he's coming from.
I don’t think he realized how good-looking he is. Such a fun personality, so naturally funny, charming and admirable. I could listen to him talk all day. Such a great actor, his character made me cry the most in ST. He is now my favorite actor.
Harbour seems like the the kind of actor who takes his roles very seriously. It was fun to watch his face light up as he realized that First We Feast takes the questions seriously, and it's not just a gag show. Very cool interview.
I feel like Sean has grown into such a powerful interviewer that the fun now comes in watching these artists grapple with his questions in a deep, thoughtful and respectful way while literally dying inside from the heat
this episode feels like a friend duo just catching up, like just a couple of cards at bar laughing and cracking jokes.. this one didn’t even feel like an interview and it’s fantastic. this show and series is the best when it comes to getting the best outta people
The worst is when a guest comes on and says,"I love your show!" and then the Last Dab starts and they're like, "What are you doing?" I love that David has obviously never watched an episode but doesn't pretend that he has. Da Bomb is the best when someone hasn't heard of it. This was great. Obviously a highly intelligent man.
They can know and love the show, and not have seen the whole episode. If you watch clips do you think they show them dabbing at the end? Lots of people I know love the show for clips on tiktok and stuff but don't watch it.
Well if they didn't have a sauce I liked, I'd do the same. More so if they were warm and not hot which after sitting out for a bit, I imagine is the case.
"I didn't know you'd be asking me real questions!" Love this moment whenever it happens in any Hot Ones interview. People are always surprised by Sean's interview ability.
This has to be the best hot ones episode. Sean and David's energy is just feeding off of each other. Also, I love how David is the first guest to be actually enjoying the pain.

He was so genuine, appreciative of the research/questions and the overall challenge at hand. This is what I didn’t know I wanted but now I desperately need. Like a bad steak…well done! Hot Ones team.
That's the Hot Ones brand in a nutshell, it's great. So many ridiculously famous people come on here and say stuff like "Wow, that's a really interesting question!"
It's because interviewers are horrible at asking good questions. They have to talk about the movie the actor is promoting and there is only so much an actor can say without spoiling anything so questions become really redundant.
No joke, check out Stranger Con appearances when he's with Millie Bobby Brown. He can't help himself with dropping spoilers, and she has to stop him. He's like the embarrassing dad to his on-screen daughter.
@@cjtrules1 can't completely blame the interviewers, most of those press junkets are "ok, you have 5 minutes with them..... the last one is done, your time starts now. GO!" and your boss has given you 4 minutes of questions to read to them. they are always bored in them because they have to answer the same set of questions over and over again just so the interviewer can be on camera with them while being asked. if it was just print and the production companies would give out a list of pre-answered questions, i bet we would be able to get better interviews.
Hot Ones has the ability to take a celebrity and turn them into a person. In my mind, David Harbour, with his slight New York accent and his average tolerance for hot wings, has just gained a lot of appreciation.

He comes across as such a chilled out genuinely nice guy. I remember reading an article where he spoke about experiencing poverty and how this exacerbates mental illness because poverty stops you from being able to take part in society (socialising, shopping, normal everyday things) and as a result you shrink from the world into your own headspace and honestly you can tell the dudes been there because that really hit me and I can relate so much. He worded it perfectly in a way you can only do if you’ve been there.
David: *Goes to great lengths eloquently explaining the american method and shakespearean influences in his career* Also David when asked what his top 4 cured meats are: "GOD DAMN THAT IS THE HARDEST QUESTION IVE EVER BEEN ASKED"
Not to ruin the illusion, but it seems pretty obvious that they request of their guests to comment on the quality of their research and to be extra complimentary of their branded sauces.
@@visceraeyes525 Hey whether or not Sean actually comes up with the questions himself (probably not), it doesn't defeat the fact that he has good questions. The show is known for that quality of having not the usual questions most press ask celebrities.

You guys really do the best interviews bar none. The questions are unique and varied, they're interesting to us and it's obvious they're interesting to your guest too, it's so nice to see the look on their faces when they're getting asked questions other than the usual, "How did you lose so much weight?" "What's your workout routine?" and all the other cliched trash they've been asked a thousand times. Add to that the fact they're put at ease and then broken down with trying to deal with the extreme heat of the wings and we all get to see honest, approachable, open and genuine people instead of the facade they usually are required or forced to put forward. Love your work.
"Let's get heady" Yeah this is the best interview show out there, hands down. Late night is just so shallow and meaningless. Hot Ones gives us the good stuff.
Agreed. On talk shows the celebrities feel like they're on a pedestal being shallowly admired and fawned over, but here they feel like regular people on our level.
He had to be the best guest of the season. He was hilarious, and you guys were playing off each other like a comic duo. Fantastic episode....wish I could give it two thumbs up!
"I find beauty in people's flaws.. beauty in their inadequacies.." Aw, that's actually really sweet. I need to meet him. He'll think I'm the hottest person he's ever seen.
Sean has a special ability to humanize his guests and I think that’s what makes this show so popular. He shows that they are people just like us, and while Sean delves into the guest’s professional lives, he also delves into the beauty of their everyday lives. It’s what I appreciate about these interviews.
I saw him in an interview where they asked if he was worried if someone else would just try to steal the idea and do their own and he had such a great response. Something like "If anyone thinks they can do what I do better than me than go for it"

I absolutely love Dab. But that Dabomb is just horrible. I curse at it every time.
What’s your favorite?

I literally forget about the wings until they get to Da Bomb 🤣
He’s got a nardwuar effect goin on for sure
Two best interviewers alive are Sean and Nardwuar

I feel like Sean has grown into such a powerful interviewer that the fun now comes in watching these artists grapple with his questions in a deep, thoughtful and respectful way while literally dying inside from the heat

this episode feels like a friend duo just catching up, like just a couple of cards at bar laughing and cracking jokes.. this one didn’t even feel like an interview and it’s fantastic. this show and series is the best when it comes to getting the best outta people
“I didn’t know you’d be asking me real questions” - Sean’s specialty
It's hard for Sean to surprise guests because the show is so awesome and popular, so it's great when a guest gets a big kick out of their experience.
David’s hysterical laughter after being asked about frogs is everything
The worst is when a guest comes on and says,"I love your show!" and then the Last Dab starts and they're like, "What are you doing?" I love that David has obviously never watched an episode but doesn't pretend that he has. Da Bomb is the best when someone hasn't heard of it. This was great. Obviously a highly intelligent man.
It's been a while since Sean's interviewed someone completely unfamiliar with the show and I'm here for it
They can know and love the show, and not have seen the whole episode. If you watch clips do you think they show them dabbing at the end? Lots of people I know love the show for clips on tiktok and stuff but don't watch it.

Love this moment whenever it happens in any Hot Ones interview. People are always surprised by Sean's interview ability.
David saying “What am I gonna do? Die? ….maybe” is officially one of my favorite lines from this show
This has to be the best hot ones episode. Sean and David's energy is just feeding off of each other. Also, I love how David is the first guest to be actually enjoying the pain.

I feel like Mr. Harbour looks so tired of childish interviews that he is legit shocked at a good interview like this one.
reminds me of nardwuar
Sean* has the ability. The wings do help, but Sean is such a great interviewer

Sean is such a wonderful interviewer. He's probably the best. Almost every episode the celebrities are pleasantly surprised by the questions.

"What's your workout routine?" and all the other cliched trash they've been asked a thousand times. Add to that the fact they're put at ease and then broken down with trying to deal with the extreme heat of the wings and we all get to see honest, approachable, open and genuine people instead of the facade they usually are required or forced to put forward.
