That's an excellent job on the Sentinel.. It reminds me of a cab ride I had in one, back in the 80's. It was taking empties back to the main line from Littleton Colliery.
I enjoyed that Richard. I've kept lighting wiring to yellow and white to avoid confusion. I have just researched and bought again my first train set: a 1973 Hornby Freightmaster set. It was featured in the Hornby 19 brochure. I was 7 years old.

Great layout update new junction! I am getting ready to put in a 3 platform (that serves 5 lines) in our model railway, should be able to hold a 5-Car HST 😉
Hi I’ve been given my late fathers collection dating as far back as early 60s Pullman’s and kit built Princesses, lots and lots of other engines and rolling stock. The track is looking a bit rusty as well, should I replace the track or clean it?? The locos, I’ve bought some rolling roads and cleaning tools etc. What’s the best way to revive them from their sleep?? Thanks Andrew
Hiya, Best way is to get the locos oiled up and running in a loop for a solid 30mins each way. You might need clean track for that, as long as the tops are okay your good to go. :-)
im a volunteer on a heritage railway and the shed yard is literally paved with ash modern T.M.Ds have to slash out on concreat but when you have steam you can just use the abundance of ash you get.
With the sidings for the thunder bird loco I would have two lines one for the thunder bird but maybe have another for something like a spare line for carriages or mail vans
Good progress being made there Richard. Have you considered making a permanent way depot near the station? Nice little compound, security fence round it, full of bits and pieces. Give your crew somewhere to go after working on the new line.
