- We finally got to talk to some of our new neighbors at the abandoned creek property. Today I tell you what happened and also Randy the carpenter and myself go check the cameras for the bear.

I’m 77 but when I was even 20 years younger I would have loved to go exploring with you. That’s awesome. So proud that you and your family got to buy that wonderful property.

I lived in Illinois for 17 yrs. I walked all over. I got to see a wolf and a white buck. I sure miss that. I love in California now. Love your homestead. Keep them rolling. Love the trail camera's. Prayers for being safe.
Our family farm is in western New York. Every spring my grandmother would hike down back to the ,"ice pond" and collect leeks and watercress. She made salads and soups with the plants and farm animals. She was born on the farm and her mother lived in the same house for 102.8 years! So that farm has fed our family seven generations! It's good to know where fresh spring fed water sources are around you. There are two ponds on the land and the ice pond was fresh spring water. For the life of me I will never figure out why my grandfather didn't drill a well down there and pipe the water to the house. The house my grandmother lived in until her death at 90 had very bad sulphur water! Though her son next door had the worst sulphur on earth. My grandfather was a well driller as a living. Water wells and gas wells. He said there is enough natural gas under the ground to last forever. He knew his job so I believe him. It is hard when people use your land like it's their own. We had people hunting on the land without permission as well as cutting down trees and selling our wood for firewood. Boy did that really annoy Gramma. It was downright theft.
Thanks for sharing this Watercress there is about 2 variety,There are very potent Medicinal green plants my Grandpa my mum side gree them back in the island ,It's An awesome Food for Lungs ,Blood , skin !My Dad was a Pharmacist for 29 yrs but way back then he had 3-4 yrs of experience But It watercress Green 💚 apple Ginger Tumeric Cured my Younger brother who suffered (Lespression) Azsma Just Drinking the Juice and eating it Great omelette , Broth (Bouillon), Touffes, Salade Or Sauté! It's pure Water Plants Mix with Spinach, other Green Plants Chard , Mustard green !It's great 👍

calling that beautiful stream a waterfall is an understatement. Since it is a system of many small falls it should actually be called a cataract. that is some fantastic property you got there.

I found that enameled car emblem on ebay after a couple of days searching. It's a 1946-1948 Dodge ornament.
Smart move bringing Randy with you looking for that bear. You don't have to outrun the bear, just outrun Randy!

Randy is a hoot, and a great sport. He was there to protect you Sean, funny..lol It's really sad that people can't respect others property, whether land, vehicles, homes, or whatever. For instance where you live, ppl get used to land being unoccupied, use it to hunt, shortcuts, to even live on it, and continue even after they find someone has taken possession of it. Terrible. Love what you're doing ❤️

What happens a lot of time is the neighbors have been using the land for generations to the point they think they have natural rights.
A couple summers ago, I chased off a trespasser with my .45 ACP and a can of bear spray. My dad wanted to call the Police, but I didn't feel like getting shot or having my 3 dogs shot. So I just ran the trespasser off myself. It worked.
Anymore, if you call the Police, YOU might end up getting shot, or your dogs might be shot by the Police.
Cops just LOVE to shoot dogs because they know they can get away with it.
They also really enjoy shooting people, but that's slightly less easy to get away with.
In any case, I'm not calling them. I don't trust them.

I have 2 brothers in law who are police officers and 3 nephews are also.
The BILs have been on the job for over 30 years each in different municipalities and have never shot people or their dogs. Same with the nephews.
@@MNTNSTARZ80. Well, my brother went on a ride along with a cop and that cop shot a dog on his first "call." My brother decided that he didn't want to be a cop after that.

Great place!those fossils you couldnt identify are crinoid stems,ancient sea plants.i am 66,having lived out in the woods most of my life,trespassers are something that happens,most of the time are harmless people just walking around places they knew all their lives,or tracking a wounded animal, caution is always a good thing though!

That rock outcropping would be a really cool place to build a hybrid rock and chord wood construction shelter.

You should build a smug (small smoky fire) in the entrance….throw damp leaves on the fire to cause more smoke……and watch where the smoke escapes from the cave. It will give you a much better idea for any additional openings.

I am not certain but I do think it might be too cold for rattlers to be out yet and needs to be around April for them to start coming out of their dens

Good to see Randy out enjoying you Randy is smart to use walking stick it helps a lot in hilly area and with loose leaf footing, needs one about 5ft tall, we markers off in 1 ft sequences. We use it to measure depth of a hole or water or the width of something to step across
Yes woodpeckers make round holes! They killed my birch tree in my yard! Which one of you guys can run the fastest! Lol. I love you good people exploring all this property!

What a great property y'all are real lucky
If you were to dam up the waterfall to a 3 foot height and install a drive pipe down to a ram pump in the drainage you could pump water up to about 230'
It would run continuiously 24 7 365. An elevated tank at camp could get you water just about anywhere.

Randy did awesome, I git a little claustrophobic with him so far into the cave. Being a nature loving, exploring woman all my life, still can't take tight aces. I could not of went back In that cave. Kudos to Randy, he has nerve. Loved the video can't wait to see more.

He knows that a walking stick really is helpful. People who have issues with knees, hips, ankles, or any other physical problem, can benefit from a walking stick. People with no physical issues at all can find a walking stick good to have/use.

Dutch ya'll sure got a beautiful place there love the woods n caves. Just nothin more peaceful than in woods next to a crick so relaxing. God definitely made some beautiful country there and in our neck of the woods towards Branson.
