Phase 1 Yogg went better than I could have imagined. Gus's excuse of having to summon his demon being why he kept hitting the clouds was just a classic cherry on top of the shit sandwich.

Its not a bunch of randoms, most of his twitch chat and followers love to brag about how hard retail is, but in retaily majority of retail players are bad at the game and are not part of the 0.1% hardcore group of retail. Just because you play retail doesnt flag you into being a better player. Im glad to see asmongold get humbled by classic.

The required level of ability for almost everything in retail is higher, the only thing that's harder in classic than retail is leveling, and that's only because you need a lot of time and game stamina to make it through to max level. Classic players preached about how much they loved leveling then turned right around and paid for boosts Lol

well actually what i'm most suprised about is how Asmon does a good role as a raid leader, he is a little harsh with his word but really telling ppl how to improve and making sure they got what they did wrong understood
I've watched many raids with him despite having never played WoW. One thing I've noticed is he always knows exactly what went wrong and knows what to do to fix it. Now, whether he or others actually do so, is a different matter. But yes, a good leader. Once after wiping on a boss 7 times he replaced a single player and the next time they cleared it. He knew exactly who was in the wrong and had to be removed. Yes it's harsh, but he was right, and it was proven almost immediately.

Throws me back to that one nerub dungeon in early WotLK where one boss would go invincible and start summoning ads until you kill one very specific ad.
I was doing it once with an overgeared "hardcore raider" who *insisted* we do it with 4 people: me, another random and their fresh 80 naked friend since they can "carry".
And of course they COMPLETELY ignored all the boss mechanics and when we reached that one invincible boss their retro pal friend dressed in green ended up doing more damage than them before we wiped. They were so mad... Demanded we pay for repairs too.
I find the twitch-chat entertaining A.F. They behave as they do flawless runs all the time and I bet if Asmon would replace his people with some of his twitch-chat they would act just the same if not even worse :D

He was talking about the situation where mobs were just randomly running around hitting everyone in the raid without being tanked, he never meant that 2nd tank has to steal the aggro away from asmon on a single mob avalaible to pull it away from middle lmaol. Guy just starting randomly taunting every single mob with no exception which are meant to be pulled in middle without actually pulling them in middle, when his only job is to get aggro off raid members when there re 3 mobs and more. So like no, what asmon said perfectly made sense there it's just that 2nd tank was absolutely unaware of what is going on. Asmon taunted mob and mob is being pulled to middle - Good, no need to steal the taunt away and pull mob elsewhere, There're 2 mobs randomly running around and hitting your dps and heals - Bad, you have to taunt them. It was as simple as that
I think you're one of the players that would be kicked. You don't taunt mobs when they're on the tank and the tank is fine, especially when that aggroes other mobs.
He was mad because the tank let mobs kill everyone else, then he got mad again when he realised the tank was too stupid to do his job.

I like how a lot of people in my guild obsessed with logs in previous raid fail constantly in Ulduar doing basic stuff.
I'll never question Asmon's experience with the game and the raids and how things work, it's clear he knows what he's doing in that sense. But on the class playing front. Asmon, please, this is the wotlk warrior. Not the classic or TBC warrior. You wish you could stack sunder more easily? Go deep prot and get devastate rather than whatever arms/prot build you got! Deep prot is so worth it in wrath. Chrage in, Thunder clap, shockwave and the trash is easily taken care of. And speaking of sunders, there's a glyph that lets Devastate do 2x stacks of sunder every time you use Devastate. There's even a talent in the prot tree in wrath that lets you use charge in combat, while in defensive stance so you don't need to stance dance anymore in wrath. A prot warrior going deep prot can just chill in defensive stance.
Having played a lot of prot warrior in wrath (didn't main it, but I played on it regularily doing several heroics and did the weekly raid bosses in phase 4 regularily with that character) I was screaming at the video "WHERE'S YOUR SHOCKWAVE?! WHERE'S YOUR DEVASTATE?!" Until I realized he had Sweeping strikes and mortal strike from the arms tree. Going deep prot with my warrior was so fucking worth it, enjoyed playing on that character a lot despite it not being my main.
I would absolutely hate to raid with asmon but I absolutely love watching it. I feel bad for the other warriors tho lol.
Oh, really? I would love to raid with him. He is an amazing leader. The amount of knowledge he has about each boss is astonishing, and he clearly explains the tactics.
His raid members are just dumb. My first full Ulduar was a Hard Mode + 0 light. It was a difficult encounter, but me and the rest didn't spend hours repeating the exact same mistake as his guys were doing on Shadow Crashes, Clouds, Mines. I can't even imagine them in Hard Mode.
It is unbelievable how dumb they were and how patient Asmon was. My Raid Leader would have banned those players from raiding long time ago.

As a dps it is your responsibility to stay alive. Healers will save you but they can't save stupidity and/or ignorance.
I haven't healed and I haven't tanked in a decade. I can't tell you how much that first MT death on a trash pull has triggered me. That was a death in 5-6 seconds. Or, as we say in the healing industry, 5-6 years. Like, sitting at 50% health for so long and no immediate measures taken is...ARRRRGH! I have watched those seconds over and over again. Like, there are sadge flashback sequences in soppy action movies with a now dead wife dancing in a white dress to distorted music which are less triggering. They are all incompetent and heal like paladins. No disc priest in WotlK is actually weird. We were quite strong. Edit: I just realized I had Heroic Strike bound under my left pinky finger. Muscle memory is wild.

It's honestly not the players he is playing with. It's really not. It's him. He literally screwed up more than anyone else. He's absolutely clueless at raid mechanics or raid leading in general.
In the previous raid, he had no idea that the threat resets on Ignis adds once they hit molten status. He asks his raid why they popped heroism without permission when Razorscale lands, yet they still hit the enrage timer and wipe. They were on the verge of wiping when they get the kill on the second pull. Wipe on XT-002 (or every boss for that matter). He pulled Steelbreaker on top of the dwarf boss while it was standing on a blue rune casting overload and completely decimated the raid, then asked "What happened?". He has no idea how Auriaya works. He kept pulling the cats away from the raid, giving them free range to pounce.
He's using the revenge meme spec so he's getting decimated on Hodir and Thorim. Plus he just keeps Hodir in one place and doesn't move him to the light beams. Asmon even received the storm power buff and didn't bother to run it into the melee. He had 5 stacks of it when it finally expired. He's completely clueless of mechanics. He claims he can't call out what side of the tunnel is getting a shockwave on Thorim, which makes no sense because he has to look for himself to dodge it. He tells the person that gets the debuff from the Ancient Colossus to run away from everyone else when in fact it roots the player. Horrible raid knowledge. He moves around on Thorim and chain lightings the melee and gets himself one shot. Then asks "What was that??" He also didn't have fortitude for half the attempts, so he was missing an insane amount of hp.
I'm not saying people should play perfect or know these things out the gate. But if he's going to trash talk his raid for 4 hours straight, then be the direct cause of half of the issues they had, then he is actually worse than the players he's with. The guy is literally hot garbage at WoW. He complains about his raid not trying, when he's using strength gems in his tank gear (lol what?) and using some blue 200 ilvl dps weapon to tank in. He can't be bothered to go farm the UP tank sword or a Naxx 10 tank weapon. Oh.... that's right, because he only plays the game when a new phase comes out, raids for for two weeks and then quits. Dude has 2 Naxx clears logged on WCL lmao.
I couldn't even watch the entirety of the second raid. He's so bad at the game and makes himself look like an idiot. He just blames it on everyone else and most of his viewers will believe him, because they themselves probably aren't seeing who the real problem causer is. He needs to stick to doing react videos and stay out of raiding. Dude is completely washed up and has next to zero raid knowledge or raid leading skills.
most of his fans know he's terribad at pretty much everything he plays - that's the joke. This guy hasn't been good at raiding since his mythic days in WOD. He just gets carried/boosted through everything above normal, and has no issue admitting it. Even that's a stretch to be honest; he couldn't even pass Sludgefist on normal CN, then ranted about the game being too hard nowadays lol.

You're all saying not to take it seriously but I've watched Asmon for the last 8 years and he was not kidding and was seriously upset and pissed off. And, just like Dovic said, it's his own fault and it's really annoying to watch him go crybaby mode when the situation the led him there was all his own doing. There are plenty of better people he could invite if he wanted to do this correctly. But no, gotta sit here and listen to that monotone drone and him whine and stammer through saying "I don't wanna do this anymore" when he gets so flustered when he has to think for a second about something. But he's hardheaded and only invites people who will hand over gear to him no questions asked, which are all the trash players. Asmongold says he is a tank because it does the most damage. I feel like that’s a lie. Compare his performance when he’s a DPS he’s dead all the time. So you know he picks a tank so that he can bitch at people because he has a very low chance of dying, and if he dies, he can easily just throw it at the healer. And if I’m not mistaken, I feel like the tank has vastly fewer mechanics to deal with compared to the DPS which means he has a lower chance of fucking up. He does this, so that he can just bitch at people in the raid that make mistakes without embarrassing himself, and exposing himself is actually not a very good player.
