- What happened in a 2 1/2-minute exchange with a homeowner, who gave FOX 13 the video, is now evidence in a lawsuit filed against Vivint by its much larger competitor, ADT. An assistant Maryland attorney general also voiced concerns after FOX 13 showed her the recording.

A salesman just banged on my window in my mulch after dark saying he saw my lights on. He scared me to death. Wouldn’t tell me straight
up who he was and was rattling off neighbors names. Creepy.
Same exact thing happened to me. He came two nights in a row and refused to ring the door bell!
All those companies are the same with their sneaky, slimey, deceptive sale tactics. Either you get robbed by actual burglars or these company reps.
Not all of them. It is simply the branch or the person.
He was fired. Vivint is cracking down more and more on their dishonest salesman since going public.
Pretty sure Vivint is pushing the dishonest salesmen tactic. They have been aggressive in my neighborhood. They lie about the money you will save. The cost of the work. The lifetime of the equipment. Just to get you hooked in without recourse to back out.

If you don’t want them, you’ll buy equipment from them. They’ll put it up if they build it up and you will never know how much you owe them. It does not show on the website they tell you how to do it and when you go to do it it only shows you how much you are due for your payment.
And when you call for a representative, they will not tell you
@@electron0000 their call center is absolutely atrocious! They throw you back and forth to Indian people with fake English names. It took months of fighting to get our doorbell cam. Even they salesman got to see what we went through when he tried to talk to them. It was golden
This isn't accurate. The equipment is financed through a third party, which you can access online and check exactly how much you owe. You don't even have to call in. Truth be told, I've had a great experience. Have had no billing issues whatsoever. I did take my time to understand what I was getting into but overall I give them an A+. Unfortunately these type of employees make the company look bad.
My salesman was sneaky too! He tried to cashapp me $80 smh I didn’t except it because I knew it was wrong, but after calling Vivint customer care I found out he lied about a few things. He was desperate for sales and stated that he would receive a bonus if his sales team wins a competition. This was around the time they were going public! I was with Cove at the time he came by. I am now stuck with a large bill because they would not let me cancel after the fact smh
I believe I was targeted because of the Cove sign in my yard and the fact that Cove sensors are compatible with Vivint services. They linked my cove sensors to Vivint equipment. I didn’t have to purchase anything outside of the panel and two cameras. It was enticing because Cove had not made their outdoor cameras available yet and I really wanted the cameras.
Just curious we’re competitors against vivint how much was your bill?
And it depends most sales guy look it if you already have a security company your more then likely ez to talk too cause you clearly talk to door to door people, sad you just ran into a greedy salesman who dosnt care about there customers

Why are they even mentioning another company? I think they do it so people get confused and think they are buying a contract w ADT. ADT is a well known company- they are the leader in security services.
So, a terrible representative. Hopefully he isn't working in home security anymore.

I was told also my contracts were for 3 years they have been over five so far I was also told that my ADT contracts were canceled out they never got canceled out in ADT came looking for their money and their equipment because vivid used their equipment that was in the house
I've had Vivint for 5 yrs and I never experienced those tactics. We are very happy with them thus far. I purchased the system via their main phone line. No salesman ever appeared at my home.

I love my Vivint system and the guy who installed it was super awesome. My grandfather has a 20 year old adt system and they wouldn’t even come out and put him a new part in much less offer him an updated system.
Last thursday i had a salesman blatantly lie to me. When reading documents, he leaned over and scrolled down to the signature so i couldn't read it . i read it all after ans canceled within tbe 3 days. The salesman harassed me through texts after

As a consumer they will never get equipment at cost. There will always be a niche for availability and some people want more technology and don't mind paying for it. But if they're using false sales tactics then there's a problem.
They just plain ignored my cancellation requests last month.

Took me 2 years to get out of this company contract.
They come sometimes in to my gated community most likely get in with a scheduled appt then canvas the neighborhood. Last time I answered the door with my full size kimber raptor he ran like a slob🤣🤣🤣

During pride month, she had created a “customer service month” where she would make customer service an emphasis and would compare the customer service of Vivint to Chick Fil A. She would walk around in a cow costume and say “happy customer service month” even though chick fil a is a heavily Christian based company

I used to work with Vivint, used to be good people till some new owners took over last year.
In my experience as a rep with Vivint, nobody in my office or none of my managers has ever been trained or encouraged to lie or mislead. Everything in this video is what NOT to do. I cringed just by watching this.
You guys sure do push some overpriced garbage hardware. By the time your customers finish paying off their equipment, it’s already 5 years obsolete.

@@joelinares1011 They are not, but they ARE aware and they still let it happen. We have to deal with the BS every single mf of those promise to customers they never fulfilled. So no, vivint hasn't learn and with $189M dolars for another lawsuit, they don't seem to want to learn from their mistakes.

Vivint just came to my door couple days ago saying they were going to pay off my adt service and to give them a try they were really persistent. they said they would give me a three day trial. once they installed there cameras I noticed they cut down my art cameras and I called Vivint straight to cancel because of it and they lied about many things. so in the process with Vivint at the moment for the house damages they did regarding The ADT cameras and to come remove the Vivint cameras they installed. there's more to it but didn't want to keep writing the rest.
I was just recently hired by Vivint.
Why do they have literal teenagers working for them? Do you see the way they are dressed? Oversized basketball shorts, t shirts and lanyards around their necks. These are like freshman in college so 18-19
I have very big problems with this company. I have their service right now and I can never seem to find where my equipment balances how much I owe on my equipment. It was like four grand for all the stuff out but I can never find the remaining balance.
Hilarious from a salesman standpoint, just one sentence causes so much popularity. If id known this earlier you’d see me on every news channel haha
